Half A Heart {Zerrie} ON HOLD

So your friend's been telling me
You've been sleeping with my sweater
And that you can't stop missing me
Bet my friend's been telling you
I'm not doing much better
'Cause I'm missing half of me
And being here without you is like I'm waking up to
Only half a blue sky
Kinda there but not quite
I'm walking around with just one shoe
I'm half a heart without you
I'm half a man at best,
With half an arrow in my chest
I miss everything we do,
I'm half a heart without you

3. Chapter Two

Perrie’s POV

“HELLO BARCELONA!” Louis yelled.

“HOW ARE YOU GUYS DOING TONIGHT?” Liam asked. The fans screamed even louder than before.

“As you have seen, Zayn here has not been dancing. Do you think you can guess why?” The fans screamed again.

“Earlier today, we asked everyone to say why they think Zayn won’t dance. A lot of you said it’s because he can’t dance, but that was four years ago! He’s outgrown it now. The next most popular thing is the reason why. If you had paid attention, you would know that the second most popular reason is because he misses Perrie.”

“So, in order to help him show you his dance skills and give you guys something to scream about, we came up with the best solution. Now, please welcome our solution to this terrible problem!” That was my cue. I walked onto the stage and waved at the crowd.

“Please welcome, PERRIE EDWARDS OF LITTLE MIX! THE BAND THAT ZAYN THINKS HE’S A PART OFF!” Niall joked.

“You can’t say anything Niall! You think you’re in 5 Seconds Of Summer!” Liam said.

“That’s different! Zayn can’t be a part of Little Mix, because we didn’t win the X-Factor!”

Niall and Liam started arguing, Louis joining in now and then. Harry tried to calm them down, and Zayn just stood there, still in awe.

“What, no hello beautiful?” I joked.

“I can’t believe you’re here in person!” He wrapped his hands around my waist and pulled me close.

“What, no kiss either?”

“I was getting there.”

“HEY HEY HEY! NONE OF THAT MISTER AND MISSES!” Louis scolded us. “THERE ARE KIDS HERE! My god!”

“You’re one to talk. I seem to remember a little something that happened back in Dublin!” Liam countered.

“Oh, like you’ve never kissed your girlfriend on stage.”

“I haven’t actually!” Louis and Liam started bickering, and Niall tried to break it up, with a little help from Harry.

“They’re such idiots.”

I felt Zayn’s lips on mine. Never once did they fail to make me swoon. It just felt so right kissing him. His lips molded into mine perfectly, like they were made for each other. Sparks flew and the butterflies swarmed whenever his lips touched mine.

“I thought I told you not to do that!” Louis scolded.

I stuck my tongue out at Louis because it was the only thing I thought to do.

“And you call me immature!” He complained.

“Sucks to suck Lou!” I yelled.

“If we can move on with the concert, we have a song for Perrie here! Zayn?”

Oh Liam, still the Daddy Direction I remember from 2011. Always trying to be on schedule and responsible. Oh, those were the days!

“What are you looking at me for?” He asked.

Liam leaned over and whispered in Zayn’s ear. Zayn kept nodding, like he was a bobble head.

“This song is dedicated to Perrie. This is us whenever one of us is away, to me. Whether I’m on tour, or you’re on tour, or any other time one of us isn’t with the other. This is Half A Heart.”

When Zayn did that, dedicated the song to me, it’s when I realize why I love him. He’s so sweet, kind, funny, and just all around a good guy. He picks me up when I feel down, he always care for me, and just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

“So you’re been telling me, you’ve been sleeping with me sweater, and you can’t stop missing me. I bet my friends been telling you, I’m not doing much better, ‘cause I’m missing half of me. And being here without you, is like I’m waking up to,” Liam started.

“Only half a blue sky. Kinda there but not quite. I’m walking ‘round with just one shoe, I’m half a heart without you. I’m half a man, at best. With half an arrow in my chest. ‘Cause I miss everything we do, I’m half a heart without you.” The rest of the boys joined in for the chorus, which brought tears to my eyes. I never realized how sweet the song was.

It’s actually a little sad, if you think about it. But it’s also really sweet. If Zayn feels half of what I feel for him, then this song basically represents that we’re soul mates, and it’s so hard to be apart. I found it so sweet, that I was sensitive for the rest of the night, even after they all sang Alive to each other. I was still a little emotional when we decided to Facetime the rest of Little Mix at one in the morning, when the concert ended at nine.

“So how’s Spain?” They asked.

“I haven’t seen much. I went right from the airport to the hotel to the concert back to the hotel,” I answered. It was true. I never got to see much of Barcelona today.

“But you have seen a lot of Zayn, I take it!” Jade teased.

“If you mean his face, yes. As for the rest of it, that’s a little private, don’t you think!”

“Oh c’mon! We’re all friends here!”

“We may be friends, but my life is my life!”

“Not even a hint?”

“No!”

“If you really wanna know, we can ask the boys! I don’t think the walls are that soundproof!” Jesy said.

“The boys have been out since the concert ended. They’re probably so drunk, they wouldn’t remember if they went on a killing rampage!”

Jade finally dropped the topic of Zayn and I and we moved on to how much everyone misses everyone. It got very teary-eyed on the girls end, even if it was fake.

“Oh, hey, Zayn! How much do you miss us?” Jade asked.

“Well if you’re asking if I miss the bickering and jokes teasing me and Perrie, then I haven’t missed you at all,” he joked.

“HURTFUL!”

“I’m just joking. I’ve missed you guys a lot. Then it’s the pets at ninety-nine, and my flat at ninety-eight,” Zayn started joking.

“So we’re hundredth on your list?”

“Yes.” He said it with such a straight face, a lie detector wouldn’t have been able to say he was lying. They looked horrified, and a they had a little hurt on their faces, but it all went away when Zayn said he was joking.

“How did you miss most?”

“Perrie, of course.”

“After Perrie?”

“I definitely miss my family, and Harley, Hatchi, and Prada are up there, the little furballs, and just, home.”

“If you weren’t already getting married, I would steal him for myself!” Leigh-Anne joked.

“Well we are, so you can’t have him.”

We talked for few more minutes, and then the girls had to go. We had to too, because Zayn and I would have to take care of the drunken idiots tomorrow. Helping hangovers is not my forte, but they would help me if I needed them to, so I should.

“Bye girls! We’ll see you in a few days!”

“Bye ladies!”

“Bye lovebirds!” Jade yelled.

“See you soon!”

“Bye guys!”

I hit the end button and locked my iPhone. I placed it in my sweater pocket and started to cuddle closer to Zayn.

“I kinda miss them.”

“You’ve been gone for a day!”

“I said kinda! It’s not like me missing you.” I mumbled the last part, making barely audible for myself.

“I’m just glad you’re here. I missed you, so much.”

“I missed you more, I guarantee it!” I argued.

“I love you. I hope you know that.”

“I love you too.”
