Mr. Perfect

My name is Samantha. My mum is always meeting guys and thinking that they're 'the one' and is never around, so we're always moving to different places and I'm always having to make new friends. When I reach the last year of high school and (hopefully) the last school, I meet a boy who changes my life forever. Niall.

7. The Call

I bumped into Niall of times and he winked, but we didn't talk again. It was finally the end of day one which was actually okay. I decided I'd walk home with Shay. I actually think she didn't have many friends before me, which I found amazing because she's hilarious.

"Leggo!" she yelled at me while I was putting away my books. I let out a huge cackle.

"Just wait!!" I yelled back.

The walk home was pretty much silent, accept for a few questions. We didn't exactly know each other well, but we instantly became best friends.

"So, is Shay short for anything?"

"Yeah, Shannon. I hate that name, it sounds like an old persons name. If anyone calls me that, I feel like hitting them in the head!"

"I'll never call you that then... Shannon!" I joke.

"Hey, you better start running girl!"

I ran as fast as I could, laughing the whole time. We finally got the the elevator of our apartment.

"Any guys you fancy yet Sam?"

I'd told Shay I hated being called Sam, so I laughed at her and showed her the number on the back of my hand.

"Niall?!" she screamed.

"Uh, yeah?" I was so confused as to why she was confused.

"He's literally the hottest guy in the school! I'm not interested, but every other girl is! How'd you get his number?!"

"He gave it to me."

"Wow, I knew you were pretty, but.."

"Is it really that suprising?" I asked jokingly.

"It's just... He just had a terrible break up with a girl he really loved. He hasn't even come to school since today!"

I looked at her in shock. The elevator doors opened and Shay walked to her apartment door.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow." she yelled as she closed the door behind her.

I walked into my apartment.

"Hey Samantha, how was your first day?" asked mum.

"Actually really good mumma bear, how about your first day at work?"

"Pretty good."

I walked over to her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm gonna have a shower and do some homework, but I'll be back in time to watch a movie with you."

"Okay daughter bear." she said and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

Once I got into my room, I stripped down from my uncomfortable school clothes and hopped into the warm shower. After washing my hair, I sat down to shave my legs. What? It's just easier. Whenever I shave my legs, I'm alone with my thoughts. It's probably the only time of day it's quiet. I thought about Niall. I should probably call him.

The second I got out of the shower I dried my hair so I could call him.

"Hey, this is Niall, who might this be?"

I laughed at his proper answer. I guess he figured out it was me.

"You know, you never did tell me your name, mysterious girl."

"Well, it's Samantha."

"Samantha. I like that name. It suits you."

I smiled. Usually people don't like my name because it doesn't suit me.

"Thanks. I like Niall too."

"Really? I reckon it sounds like an old person name."

"It suits you."

"Hey, are you calling me old?!" he joked, I just laughed and couldn't stop.

"No, not at all."

"Well for that, you have to let me take you out on a date!"

"I'll pick you up at seven." And with that, he hung up. And I was left wondering when it was going to be, where it was going to be and how he was going to find out where I live. I decided to go out and watch a movie with my mum, he could figure that out.
