Scott Riddle's Secret

I am assuming that you have all read about Harry Potter. He was the famous wizard who defeated Voldemort. The Harry Potter series were written to explain about Harry, and they were almost perfect. J.K. Rowling wrote that Voldemort never loved. But maybe he did. Read about Scott Riddle, a.k.a. Voldemort's son.

11. (PART 3) Surprise!

Part 3: The Tale of the Bombchesters

Scott Riddle was now 13. He was in his third year. He had a normal second year, but, his first year wasn't normal. He had met his father faced to face and actually fought with him. But the only reason that he was alive was because Dumbledore had saved him.

Hogwarts Express. It was his third time riding it.

Somehow, Hogwarts never looked the same. For Scott, it looked like a whole different place every single year. But he knew that it was the same old Hogwarts.

He, Maddie, and Johnny were sitting in a compartment, talking about their teachers.

Maddie said, "I like Professor Jonathan. He's so awesome and cool."

Johnny rolled his eyes.

"You don't just like Professor Jonathan, you love him!"

Johnny took Maddie's schedule from her.

He pointed to the schedule and shouted,

"Look! You made hearts around his classes!"

Scott laughed. Professor Jonathan was a new teacher that came to Hogwarts last year. He was only nineteen. He had worked in the Ministry of Magic for two years.

Professor Jonathan taught Defense Against Dark Arts. Since he was good-looking, many of the girls loved him.

Maddie said, turning bright red,

"I don't love him! I just think he's cute!"

Johnny said, "Well, he has a girlfriend. So I advise you to give up."

Maddie crossed her arms.

Scott said, trying to change the subject,

"Hey Johnny! Isn't Julia coming to Hogwarts this year?"

Johnny groaned.

"Thanks for reminding me. Mum was telling me to take care of her for the five hundredth time."

Maddie said,

"My little brother's coming to Hogwarts this year, too!"

Scott said, "I didn't know you had a brother, Maddie."

Maddie said, "I never talk about him because I hate him. His name is Max. He's not veela. He is good-looking, according to the adults. But I think he looks like a hippopotamus."

They all laughed.

Johnny said, "I bet you anything that Julia's going to come into this compartment within five minutes."

Maddie said, "I don't think that Max is going to come in here. He obviously hates me."

Johnny was right.

There was a knock on the door and a girl came in.

Johnny said, "Go away, Julia!"

The girl raised an eyebrow.

"I'm not Julia. I'm Scarlett. Scarlett Loughson. I'm in my second year now. But Julia Alston wants to see you."

Scott's face blushed. So did Johnny. Scarlett was a very beautiful girl. She had bright, silk golden hair that went down to her waist, bright green eyes, and slightly pale skin.

Johnny said, "Never mind her. She's my sister. Want to sit in our compartment?"

Scarlett stared at Johnny. Then she looked at Maddie. Then she looked at Scott, blushing.

She said, "Sure..."

She sat down right next to Scott.

Scott's heart pounded. It was the first time that he had ever fell for a girl.

Scott asked, "Are you a veela?"

Scarlett shook her head.

"My mother and father are complete veela, but somehow, I'm not. I was born weird. My twin brothers and my sister are though... But I don't see the difference. Will, one of the twins, is so ugly. I don't understand it."

Maddie said, "That means that Will is a juaverate veela or it's just your vision."

Johnny asked,

"What in Merlin's Saggy is a juaverate veela?!"

Maddie answered,

"It's when you have veela blood, but, it doesn't activate in the body. It's very rare."

Scarlett said, laughing,

"I'm pretty sure that Will is one of them though. Everyone says that he's more handsome than Jack but I don't see it. I'm pretty sure it's just the vision."

Johnny said, "How old's your brothers?"

Scarlett said, "They're turning fourteen in October."

Scott said, "How about your sister?"

"Her name's Victoria. But I call her Vic. She's seven."

They talked about the stuff that Scott, Maddie, and Johnny had always talked about.

But Scott's heart jumped every time he heard Scarlett's voice. It just made him feel like he was in a better place than heaven.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When they arrived at Hogwarts, Maddie, Johnny, and Scott walked together to the castle. Scarlett had to get her cousin, Kate.

After the sorting was over, Dumbledore cleared his throat loudly, as usual.

Johnny whispered to Scott,

"If he clears his throat that loud once every year, I don't think his throat would last long!"

Scott laughed. Johnny was so funny.

Dumbledore said,

"This year is a special year. We have the Tale of the Bombchesters Contest. We won't have it for another four years, so, listen!"

Everyone quieted down a little more.

Dumbledore continued.

"The Tale of the Bombchesters is a contest to see who has the best abilities in every subject and can use what they learned during his or her lives. Anyone who is 13 or older can join. But, there can be only four students in each year. A Gryffindor, a Hufflepuff, a Slytherin, and a Ravenclaw. The person who would get to represent their house and year would be decided by the author of the Tale of the Bombchesters, Peter Muffindis. He is the sponsor, but, he does a fair job deciding.

You need to take a test to join, but, no studying. If you do, you will be disqualified."

A hand shot up from the Hufflepuff table.

It was a little girl.

She asked, "How do you know if we studied or not?"

Dumbledore said, "We can do it. But it's private stuff."

They had one night to think about it.

In the common room, Johnny started talking.

"I'm so going for it! How about you Maddie and Scott?"

Scott and Maddie nodded. They wanted to try it out.

They wrote in the forms and handed it in.

That night, when everyone was asleep, Scott stared into the sky.

He whispered, "Mum, I really want to get into this contest. Help me."

Again he saw his mother's faint image.

"Scott, just trust yourself... That's the key."

Scott smiled. His mother gave him a lot of hope.

He went to sleep.
