Rebellious Rebellious Veronica

- "Just tell me what I have to do. Just tell me. Please! I-- I don't know... I don't remember anything! None of this nonsense you guys are making me believe.
Maybe, I don't know the rights and wrongs as I think I do right now. I'm begging you, just please tell me, guide me or something! Give me directions. I can't do this on my own."
"Believing what's right isn't enough Vera. You have to remember. Because if you don't, no one will or can tolerate a fake act."

Chapter 5

After that, I didn't see Edmund and was never sure if I would ever see or hear of him again. I was ninety-nine percent close to forgetting his face and even seventy percent sure on forgetting his name. However, he's name is common, it pops up sometimes. But, I can't deny how well he did the job, and how much well he helped my father and his workers. Because after his help of coming up with a simplified way to write the CODE2AD #3087 in a acceptable and understandable way for the people, the public seemed very pleased and happy for they retreated their attacks in the Platform.

All was well, and Edmund had helped it make it happen. I felt guilty on how I had treated him, but forgot it soon. Mother took a step back as well. Seeing how I didn't get along with men, and how I had driven Edmund, the first one of the many, away. She didn't want to embarrass her family's name, so she decided to take sometime, I guessed.

It's the carnival season now, months after my so-called 'birthday.' Father says that we should take a winter trip to Garna, where all the fun festivities, parties, balls, and carnivals will be held. I don't have a problem with it. All this trip concludes to in my mind is fun and more fake-made joy. Oh well, I might as well just get to make new friends or get my mind off of things. Like teachers and studies.

This whole becoming a Lady thing has way more learning to do than I had thought. And books! Thousands of book just on the subject of 'Becoming A Lady' and 'Etiquette of the Lady'. It's insane! So much for their enormous disciplinary. Do boys get sessions on have to be a Man, too? Well, that sounds very offensive.

We all agreed though, soon enough. And father started making plans right away for time was ticking away. The ancient clock in my room only makes it worse in my spare time or breaks from my classes. Tick-tock. Tick-tock. I'm going to go mad and insane one of these days!

Before all of this adventurous journey, however we have a dinner to attend to. Dinners, and dinners. And their fancy stupid ways of manipulating. Retarded homosapien kinds. That don't even know anything of the way they should breath in this life! Polluting us with their drunken alcohol mouths!

Calm down.

Calm down Veronica.

I am burgeoning an infelicitous temper.
