10. Chapter 4: May Perish

The new wolf controlling Evening Star's inner feelings looked plaedingly at Evening Star, tears streaming down her face. She slowly stuttered out the words "I'm Larria Westwood, and I'm lonely". With that the wolf collapsed to the floor, and the spell was broken. Evening Star quickly ran over to assist Larria Westwood with caution, just in case it was a trick. Midnight Rogue now stood shakily on her paws. She slowly followed behind Evening Star, her ears perked up and alert. Evening Star put her ear gradually to the wolf passed out on the floor. Evening Star looked up and said with relief "shes still alive, but her pulse is very shallow". Midnight Rogue said with concern in her voice "is she dying?"

Evening Star said with worry "lets just say she doesn't look very good. She may have hope though if we can get her in the warm. Help me drag her home". Midnight Rogue obeyed Evening Star's order, approaching nervously, and grabbing hold of one of Larria Westwood's legs. Evening Star grabbed the other back leg, and they together began dragging Larria Westwood through the snow, leaving a deep trail in the snow as they went.

Evening Star remembered back to the mad spasm Midnight Rogue had not long ago had. Evening Star said with wonder "how did you know about Larria Westwood's power, and how did you know she was even there. I couldn't evrn smell her, the wind was in the wrong direction". Midnight Rogue sighed, and said "I saw it, in my head, before it hadeven happened. I always do, no future is a surprise to me since"- Evening Star cut in saying aloud "since that fallen star. That's your power right? You can see the future". Midnight Rogue just nodded and remained silent.

Evening Star called out to Lana as she arrived atthe cave entrance. "I'm back, got two more wolves, but one isn't looking good!" Lana ran out immediatly to help drag Larria Westwood the rest of the way into the cave. "What happened this one?" Lana asked in shock, realizing how serious her problem was. "Her temperatures very high, shes burning up bad!" Lana said rather paniky. Evening Star sighed and said sadly with her head bowed in respect "she could die,so we shouldn't get our hopes up. She will need lots of constant care". Midnight Rogue shook her jead fearfull saying "my mind is fuzzy, I don't see her in our future". Evening Star sighed at the shock of hearing this news.
