Ignorance-2

You're all the same.

Cruel, harsh, vicious.

Cutting me open with your knife-like tongues,

Scarring me with your jeers.

I just don't understand.

 

Some of you just look away.

Ignorant, denying, awkward.

Drilling into me as you fiddle with your clothes,

Jabbing at me as you try not to look.

And though you may not see, I watch you every time.

 

He can see me though.

Looks me straight in the soul.

Understanding me through my heart,

Teaching me through his eyes.

And I learn to keep going.
