Behind the Cellar Door

It was dinner and we gathered around the table.

"The food is here." Servants placed the trays and plates on the table.

"We are forgetting something. Sarah can you get something in the cellar and Phoenix can you go with her." I got up and followed Sarah to the cellar.

"You will have to stay here while I get the key." She left and I sat on a barrel. I looked at the cellar doors and was curious. I got up and tried opening it.

"It's not opening." I muttered. I pushed it and fell.

"Woah!" I looked around. The ground was just dirt and it was dark. I closed the door and turned on the light. The room was filled with book, furniture, and knick-knacks. I saw a pocket watch and picked it up. It was a bit tarnished and the glass was a bit broken, but I think it might still work.

"Phoenix? Where are you?" I heard Sarah coming. I put the watch in my bag then opened the door.

"How did you get it open?" she asked.

"I just pushed." she went inside and came back with a bag.

"Come on. Queen Dorian is waiting."

I sat back down and Sarah gave the bag to the queen. She took a book out of the bag.

"This book I have here is a story. A story about a family. It all started when a little girl was born in

the Aveolan World. The king and Queen were grateful, until my sister destroyed them. A royal

messenger of theirs took the child and brought her to the mortal world where she lived." The queen told is more and I went to bed.
