The End. (a hunger games fan fiction)

*this is an exerpt from the story*
Tears rolled down my face. My voice dead, my mouth still in a wide 'o' from screaming. My ears were ringing, as I grasped for my life. I was going to die. I screamed for my mother, for my best friend. For anyone to answer. And all I got was nothing. As I grasped the air, I could feel my life slipping through my clenched fingers.
*Sorry if it's not as long as you would like. This is going quicker than I expected.*

Reaping. Effie Trinket walked onto the stage. Her weirdly bright white smile was outlind by a stricking lavender lipstick. Her wig, an even more luminous shade. I waited for her famous saying.

"Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor!" She yelled. I gulped. Her plum eyeshadow was dark. And it morphed into different shapes as she talked. "Ladies first!" She yelled, plunging her hand in. My stomach was doing flips, tightened in a knot. I felt like throwing up as Effie's grip tightened around a small slip of paper. Her mouth started to form the letters. Everything around me went silent. The world stopped. I barely heard what she said, but I still heard it. My name. Ivy Kaslik. My mother broke into hysterical sobs. My best friend was being clenched by my brother. I shakily walked up there. Everything was a blur. But then I heard the name of the boy.

"Chase Kaslik!" She yelled. She looked at me.

"Oooh! How exciting! Are you two siblings?" She asked. I nodded. As she compared me and Chase, she smiled wider.

"And twins, I might add!" She said. She clapped, but no one else did. My mother had fallen to the ground, shaking and screaming. My best friend was now screaming, sobbing, and yelling. I started screaming, too.

Tears rolled down my face. My voice dead, my mouth still in a wide 'o' from screaming. My ears were ringing as I grasped for my life. I was going to die. I screamed for my mother. For my best friend. For anyone. But got nothing in return. I grasped the air, feeling my life slipping away, slipping through my clenched fingers.

The peacekeepers dragged me away, away from my family, away from my life.
