Life after war

Ron and Hermione get together after the war ............. are they gonna be safe? what if there are still dark people around wanting to take revenge on them for helping Harry defeat the dark lord?

24. What a time............BUT

Wedding night

"As we sort of eloped I didn't feel I had time to get us a proper honeymoon but I did get us this, a long weekend in Edinburgh!" He'd had his hands over my eyes and whipped them off as he said this. I blinked before taking in the breath-taking view of the city, "Welcome to the Balmoral Hotel." Godric, he'd brought me to one of my favourite places in the world, proving how much he loved me.

I stared round, taking in the rocky hills and the majestic castle. With the stars twinkling beautifully overhead I turned around and kissed him. I walked him back to our room and pushed him down on the bed before crawling on top of him and kissing him passionately once more. His hands flew to my back before he pulled me down closer to him. The zip came down and he slid the satin, silk dress from my body and pulled me into another kiss that lasted forever…

I woke up the next morning next to Ron, his bare arms holding me against his chest. I reached up and kissed his lips, intending to pull away from him and get up but he tugged me back down into a passionate embrace. He was kissing my neck, slowly working up towards my jaw while his hands caressed my back.

"Good morning, Mrs Weasley," he growled into the hollow of my neck. I rolled us over and arched my back into him.

"Mr Weasley, I do believe it's time to be getting up," I breathed against his ear.

"Why? The bed is ever so comfy." He said, pulling me back to him once more.

2 hours later

As it happened we didn't get up till nearly noon. We'd completely missed breakfast so I took him out for lunch at a small café I'd been to as a child. It was a blissfully peaceful weekend dedicated to just the two of us. I was, to say the least, very disappointed when Monday came. We'd been everywhere; the castle, the museum, the theatre (Ron had never been to a museum or a theatre so that was… interesting)

We left straight for the flat, deciding to drop by the rest of the family later, if there was time.

His kisses, his touches, they set me on fire. The way we felt together was so nice, so right. We fit each other like puzzle pieces, perfectly.

Our time together was full of laughter, Ron and I only blew up the storeroom once due to distractions.

-Ron's POV- 1 month later-

"So I take it things are going well?" said Fred one day when we were in the shop, getting ready to close up.

"Yeah, really well," I grinned.

"Oh, I know that look!" said George,

"Oh, but, I never snog and tell!" I said,

"Fair enough, Ron, just no more excursions in the storeroom," she said and I blushed furiously.

"Very well, I do believe my lovely wife has made me dinner and I am rather hungry seeing as someone refused to buy lunch."

"I stand by that it was your turn!"

"Was not. Anyway, we'll see you later." I smiled and waved before mounting the stairs to my flat.

"Evening love," I called as I walked through into our kitchen, "the shop was manic today, really busy! What about you? Get much revision done?" I asked, sitting at the table. She had her back to me and was trembling slightly, I was about to ask what was wrong when she turned and said,

"Ron, I-I, I think I'm pregnant."
