The Creed A Generations Before

{I walk through the valley and the shadow of death but fear nothing in the darkness. That is what I will go through every day in this black world of mine of the hunt. I hunt for neither side of what a person proclaims but for the one that gets me farther on in life and teach the generations after me to fallow The Creed and obey its laws and regulations like I have done. I will learn through the past generations mistakes and kill swiftly and cleanly for my marking will be pasted on forever. ]
This is the promise i had made to my new family but i want to please them forever. I know it will be tough since my brother dosn't think i should do it but it is my own bloodline i have sealed the fate of, not his. I want to take the forever pledge, I know it won't be easy espesily in the life of the creed.

18. ch18

I was immediately cleansed in a hot bath and was given men’s clothing that fit me since they were not thinking I would be accepted this early. I stood on a tree limp looking at the clear moon above me and thinking that this was my fate. I had come this far and one stupid wonder of a world that I had no clue about to now I am emerged in it and giving my life to the cause. I wouldn’t have changed a thing for the world as I start to jump from branch landing on them perfectly and thinking that now I can run and jump quietly on rooftops instead when I needed to.

“Silva!” I hear my name called by Orin and I obeyed my new master as I jumped down and put my pen dagger out for effect. He scowled at me and I put my pen dagger away. “We are ready for you Silva. Are you sure you want to go through this?” He asked as his final question in his quest of keeping me out but instead it was too much and The Creed  infected me to where I am willing to except it now more than ever.

“I’m sure I am about to lose almost everything. I want to keep what I can keep and that means The Creed .” I sternly said to make myself look bigger than I truly am. Orin just put a hand on my back and lead to the house.

“Come then The Creed  waits.” He said and I felt chills down my spine thinking what I have to do to get into The Creed  officially. We came to the house and Orin knocked at the door and The Old Elder’s Wife opened the door.

“Do you fear the darkness?” She asked as just part of her face was the only thing that showed in the doorway. Her face was full of worry and warning while her white hair was pulled back in a simple braid that she must had redone herself.

“No because I am it.” Orin said and I wondered why he had to say a password this time but it might have been just because of me. I was excited to come in and then I needed to keep my composure for the moment as The Old Elder’s Wife open the door to grant us access into her lovely home again.

“Come.” The Old Elder’s Wife ordered and we walked down the steps that were hidden in their house. Each one was rickety but stable as the darkness started to cast the shadow that I am going to give my life to over us as we kept going. Candlelight were lit everywhere putting a worry glow in the room as I finished the log stairway down into the basement.

I see The Creed  marking in front of me and draped over a chair. Orin motioned be to sit down and I see a fire of hot coals ready for something mettle to go into. I quietly sat in the chair that wasn’t situated for a women’s rump while I tried my best to get situated. I breathed quietly to shoe no emotion while they tied my arms and legs to the chair. I looked at each person there and nodded a yes that I was ready. While each one of The Creed  members that was there stood around in a circle around the chair.

The Old Elder stood in front of me with something like a scroll that was old and forgotten. “Do you except the darkness as for the way that it is and not judge its ways?” He asked and I thought it was a funny question but I just kept my tongue.

“Yes.” Was the only answer I could say as I wondered that this pact was what I made in my bookmark as The Old Elder continued.

“DO you wish to kill in the name of The Creed and protect the family?” He asked and I nodded wondering when we are going to get to the main part even though we just started.

“Do you teach the next generations that have the marking to kill swiftly and for never to choose a side in the heat of battle only your own?” He asked I felt like this was getting into more like a questioner than anything.

“Yes, yes and yes I accept The Creed  fully peacefully and the will do what it needs me to do.” I said and he smiled. I smiled and felt relieved that were done with this part of the initiation proses.

“You have chosen the pen dagger and the blowpipe as your friends in them you trust your life to them in all ways.” He explained as he grabbed my palm and sliced it to where blood gathered in a small bowl that Orin was called to hold below me. I wretched at the pain in till Orin was done filling it the rest of the way and then he walked back to his spot.

I looked around as The Old Elder grasped the hot iron from the fire and all of a sudden I didn’t want to be a part of The Creed  at all as the orange outline started to show itself from the fire and the heat and smoke disposing the disturbed partials into the air and into my mouth leaving a ash taste that I think wouldn’t go away afterwards.

“Um, I don’t want this anymore.” I wrenched as I can smell the sparks of the peace come close to my skin while my heart pounded into my chest. I started to squirm and Evel and The Old Elder’s Wife had to hold me down.

“Where do you want this? You can choose.” He said holding the iron as the item begged for some flesh to burn.  I can see the redness of the mettle that scared me and I didn’t get that part of the memo that I had to practically get burnt to the core for it bit if it had to be done than I was somewhat ready.

I looked at my left wrist as a potential spot but The Old Elder must had thought that was where I wanted it as he moved my sleeve and then poured some of the water and my own blood mixture on it. It hurt me while the sting of the water mixed with the unthinkable pain of the burn that I just had to cope with since I tried my hardest to push back the pain out of my system.

“This mark will be blessed by the ever darkness.” He preached as he moved to my forehead and started to flick some of the mixture all over my face and I could feel every single drop burst on my skin as he went on peaching about The Creed. “And so will your decisions in the way in our world.”

Then he put the hot iron onto the water and blood soaked aria that was on my arm. I can smell the skin burn while the sizzling sound of flesh meeting fire hit my ears in a grueling way. I started to yell in pain as I think the marking had blistered the surface of the main would and into my soul. I closed my eyes and can see the marking I will get from the pain, two swords in an A position and a one in the center. I wondered why that one as The Old Elder lifted the iron and untied my bounds and smiled a wide smile at me. “You did excellent Silva and congratulations on your…” The Old Elder said as he looked at my marking.

I wondered what it was that he was staring at and I looked down at my arm and there it was the two swords that was in a capital A that was on my skin and it wasn’t red like a  burn but already like a birthmark that had been on my skin for all my life. I raised my eyebrow and slowly started to move my hand to touch the marking to make sure it was real. The marking was cool to the touch and the skin was just tavernley raised for me to notice that there is something there. I was shocked that a mark can have that sort of power of being different than anything I have ever seen before.

“The leader mark you are supposed to be the next generation of the head person of the creed.” He said and I didn’t understand and gave a confused look to where he read me like a book.  “Orin show her yours for a second.” The old elder commanded and Orin obeyed showing me his basic marking of just an upside down A with the Roman numeral two in the center but nothing as skilled as mine. I glance between his to mine in happiness but it didn’t make sense that The Old Elder had at least one son unless there is another is another reason that The Creed knows but that might be just in my mind.

“Wow this whole organization is going to be mine.” I yelped excited as I went up the steps. I can see me right now as the person of the creed with my new marking on my arm I felt unstoppable but then I spot something that brings me down to earth. The book that I had on the couch with the unknown symbol that I found my brother’s name in it was telling me that time was wasting again and that the sun was shining on The Creed.
