The Creed A Generations Before

{I walk through the valley and the shadow of death but fear nothing in the darkness. That is what I will go through every day in this black world of mine of the hunt. I hunt for neither side of what a person proclaims but for the one that gets me farther on in life and teach the generations after me to fallow The Creed and obey its laws and regulations like I have done. I will learn through the past generations mistakes and kill swiftly and cleanly for my marking will be pasted on forever. ]
This is the promise i had made to my new family but i want to please them forever. I know it will be tough since my brother dosn't think i should do it but it is my own bloodline i have sealed the fate of, not his. I want to take the forever pledge, I know it won't be easy espesily in the life of the creed.

23. ch 23

We came to the weapons room and it was filled to the brim with light weight swords and daggers were stored on tables more than anything as the light shined through a small gap in the roof. I immediately go up and scan the table for my own pen dagger. I can see the various mettles that made the exquisite items before me as I think that that I should take the advantage of the moment and try to get some answers out of my brother and just a conversation in general.

“Look at all this! There is no way that this just for several mercenaries.” I said as I started to scan the place that was all sorts of holsters for multiple weapons like mine is on my assassin’s uniform that I placed in my wardrobe before I decided to the tavern idea that I know regret doing other than the fact that it led me to this right now of an awkward moment of just gathering  our beloved tools.

“I know it sounds weird that these are all here.” Orin said as he was scanning all the swords and he sounded like he is finding something that he is not too happy about finding and learning something that we had already known.

But then I see something that I didn’t not wanted to see a holster that looked stained and fitted someone that I had never meet but knew of and it had the assassin symbol that I instantly recognized. The holster looked like it just got here for only days ago. “Orin!” I called and he came rushing over like I was hurt or attacked. “It’s Deen’s.”

He looked saddened that I found his holster that I knew was one of his companions. He slowly grasped the holster from my hands and examined it. “It is Deen’s.” Orin whispered and then looked back at Cam for a moment and then turned his attention back to me. “He was here.” He said and I spotted a tear escape him and roll down his cheek.

“We have to get going.” Camren interrupted us as Orin put the holster on and went on to search for his weapon and acting like the suggestion is a good thing to him. I didn’t blame him since I was finished with this place as well.

“How do you know this place so well Camren?” I asked concerned that I was just confirming what I think he did and when he was gone for long periods of time all those years ago before this all happened.

“No, they will come at any minute and then find us here. We must gather our things and leave” Camren said sternly. I was getting upset that he would not answer any of my questions. I started to wonder why no one was sounding the escape alarm yet in these musty chambers.

“Are you sure about that?” I asked Cam while he started for the tunnel. That was across from the entrance that we came into the weapons room. I looked around for other enemies but couldn’t find any at the moment.

“I’m sure.” Camren said as he looked at the place like we were being watched and I had the same feeling as well. I started to go to go into the tunnel but there was one question that was flowing through suddenly in my mind like the memory still remained as I can see in my mind’s eye the knife that Evel lobed at My brother’s feet.

“Everything that had happened since I found you things doesn’t make sense. For example, when Evel called you headmaster. I don’t get it.” I rambled and I knew I had lost my brother right then to whatever he was doing as he was clearly annoyed with me.

“It should not.” Camren said and then started walking away. I ran up to him furious and wanting answers right then and there.  My eyes were full of rage behind them as I grabbed my brother to ask him.

“What are you hiding?”  I yelled as I swung him around to face me.  Camren was surprised that I did such a thing.

“Let’s just say we do not talk about this and keep going.”  Camren ordered and I turned around to find my dagger on the wall among other daggers and I felt amazed that I had found the one thing I wanted to find.

“My dagger, they found my dagger! Look Cam!”  I joyfully rang as I quickly grasped it in my hand and started to fling it a little to be sure that they had not tweaked it in any way.

“Yes very well.” Was all that came out of his mouth as it sounded bitter and unloving. I went to Orin whom looked be withered like he had just found an old friend that he has not seen in years instead of at least a day ago. He lifted his sword out of a barrel of other swords that they must have taken as prizes for their kills.

“Orin are you ok?” I asked while I put a hand on his shoulder to say that I was willing to talk. But he just slumped his shoulders even more as he gingerly rubbed the back of his hand to make sure that it was still sharp.

“Yea I’m fine it’s just that I found mine.”  He sighed as he slid his sword in Deen’s old holster instead of his own which we didn’t find.

“Oh, well then do you think we should leave?” I asked since I knew that we all needed to get away from this plus the momentum was sifting to sorrow that I knew that was a distraction. I started to pull him away but Orin still wanted to stay and find more of the lost members of my new family which I had to remind him it still was not safe to stay log yet. He started to rummage through the many swords and whatever else was there as he started to make such a racket I came to him quickly and placed my hand on him for assistance as he looked like a lost puppy in a humongous rainstorm on a cold night.

"I think we should go…Remember the creed.” I said and he finally agreed to go with us.
