Just Another Ordinary Girl

Just another ordinary girl, who's life changes with one word... hello

8. The London Eye

After him spiraling me around my flat for an hour, we finally flopped on the couch and watched a movie. I wasn't sure what we were watching, I was more focused on the fact that his arm was around my waist and my face was on his chest.

"I'm not really watching this," Louis admitted.

I giggled. "Me neither," I looked up at him, meeting his eyes. I moved up until our faces were level. "Well, I don't know what else we can do," I said, feigning innocence.

"Hmm, me neither. But we could always try this." He said, kissing me hard.

"I like your idea," I gasped when we broke apart. Before I could speak again, my phone rang. "Shit, I'm sorry." I said, struggling up from the couch. I picked up my phone and answered it. "Um, hello?"

"Jess! Are you feeling any better?" It was Kath.

"Oh, hey Kath. Yeah I'm fine. Fantastic actually." I said smiling.

"So I was going to come over, and we could watch movies and eat popcorn and all that." She said excitedly.

"Um, Kath, sorry to disappoint, but please don't do that." I said.

"Oh. Why not?" She said, sounding upset.

"It's not that I don't love you, but it's just, I'm not quite alone." I said.

"Oh. Ohhh. Is Louis there?" She asked, her voice suggestive.

"Yes, but it's not- it's not like that," I stammered. "It's definitely not like that!"

"Okay," she said, clearly not believing me.

"We were just watching movies." I said.

"Alright then," she said. "Well, you two have fun."

I sighed. "Sorry about that." I looked at him. He was now sitting up, his shirt riding up a little bit. "Woah." I said. He pulled down his shirt, blushing. I really need to stop saying these things out loud!

"Let's go somewhere. Let's go to the London Eye." He said excitedly.

"Okay," I said. "Let me just go and get changed. You can come and sit on my bed, I'll change in the bathroom."

I left him sitting on my bed and I grabbed some clothes and shut myself in the bathroom. Okay, right, let's get dressed. I put on some ripped skinny jeans, my grey long sleeved crop top and my black heels. I brushed my hair and my teeth and left my hair sitting in natural waves. I walked back into the bedroom to see him crouched on the floor in front of my CD rack.

I bent over behind him and pressed my lips to the side of his jaw. "Impressed?" I asked him.

"Quite," he said, turning around to kiss me back. "Let's go," he said, holding my hand and leading me out. When we got outside, he opened the door of his car for me.

"Oh, what a gentleman," I teased. "Your car smells like you," I blurted out.

"Oh?" He smirked. I blushed and turned on the radio. We finally got to the London eye. "Here we are," he said happily.

"It's... Huge!" I said, looking up.

"Let's go," he said to me, walking round and opening my door. He took my hand and lead me to the large wheel. "Luckily, there's no one here." He said.

We got to the guy controlling the Eye. "Hi," Louis said, glancing in. "We're here to ride?"

As he continued to talk to the controller, I walked away and looked up at the carts, high above the ground. "Ready?" Louis murmured in my ear.

"Of course," I said, taking his hand. We stepped into a cart together. I looked out the whole way up and when we got to the top, the cart stopped. "Why have we stopped?" I asked, turning to Louis.

"I asked the controller guy to give us a few minutes up here." He said quietly.

I looked out of the glass, fascinated. "It's so pretty up here," I said in awe.

"That view is nothing compared to the one that I have," he said, gazing at me.
