2. Threats

Good morning Hun.” My mom was in the kitchen making breakfast before school. “Good morning mom.” No; it was not a good morning. I had stayed up all night online searching for Steven’s mom. I needed to get him away from me. Of course, with my luck, I could not find her. He had left me alone last night and I was able to get an hour of sleep. I knew that this day would be hard, but I didn’t know what was ahead of me. I scarfed down my pancakes and headed out the door. I got to school as the bell rang and slipped into my seat. “Why haven’t you found her?” I heard in a low, yet harsh tone. I turned around and looked at my friend Sarah. “Found who?” I said. She looked puzzled and asked what I was talking about. That is when I realized…Steven was more than a spirit.

“I will hurt you.” He said in second period. “Find her or else!” I heard in third. “I’m not scared of you, you should be terrified of me.” He echoed. I was so confused. I didn’t understand why Steven was being so harsh. Spirits are always calm, for they want to assure their loved ones they are at peace. I knew that Steven was more than a spirit; what he was exactly, I did not know.  The threats continued throughout the day and he was getting to me. I could not take it anymore. By lunch I felt like he was eating me from the inside out.
