Complication.

Ara had no intention to attend a hockey match, much less break the law as she found herself in the one of the teams' chamber. What a relief a certain boy was there to save her from being brought to court.

Ara's P.O.V.

"Joey!" I whined, looking at my cousin. "Why did I have to come?"
"I didn't want to be a complete loner!" He hissed, eating a mouthful of popcorn. "Plus, hockey is fun, you should enjoy! Oh, your jersey is on backwards."

Giving him a death glare, I flared my nostrils and shifted awkwardly in my uncomfortable seat. I finally accomplished turning my jersey the right way, watching as he shouted after the players on the rink. Popcorn was falling out of his mouth as he did so, making me scrunch my nose.

He turned on my doorstep at five o'clock, handing me an oversized jersey and a cap, convincing me somehow to accompany him to a hockey game. I knew nothing about it, but it wasn't like I needed to anyways. I wasn't a sports fan at all, I just couldn't seem to keep concentrated whilst watching it.

Watching this was distracting. I couldn't keep up with what they were saying through the speakers, or how the punishments and timeouts worked. I was a complete and utter dumbo right now. It was confusing.

"Can I at least know what team we're for?" I blurted, my arms crossed over my chest.
"I wonder why I gave you a jersey of the Avalanche's." He said sarcastically, looking at me disbelievingly.
"Oh, right." I nodded, sucking on my teeth.

I looked at the big square thingy which had four screens all around it. Colorado VS Ottawa. The Senators. That's odd for a team name, in my opinion. But everything that has to do with sports is wrong in my opinion, so let's not over analyze it.

I looked as one of the players swiftly skated across the rink, slamming the pock against his hockey stick, sending the pock into the net. Everyone screamed, earning a standing ovation, leaving me sitting awkwardly. As Joey sat back down, he readjusted his jersey.

"That's a point, right?" I frowned, my lips pouting in confusion.
"You're irritating me." He grumbled, concentrating on the game. "Why did I bring you?"
"I wonder too." I looked at him amusedly. "Every second I'm wasting, actually."

A loud buzz sound scared me shitless, making me jump in my seat, placing my hand over my chest, breathing irregularly. Holy Queen of England. I snapped my head towards the rink, seeing the players reach the banner, opening the small door to walk in their chamber, or whatever they're supposed to call it.

"Is it over?" I asked excitedly.
"No, but first period is." He shrugged.
"W-Wait." I stuttered, looking at him incredulously. "There's periods?"
"Yeah..." He trailed, like he was pointing out the obvious. "Three."
"Damn it." I breathed. "I hope that's all..."
"Oh, if there's a tie, they do another period and if it's still even after that, they pick three players of each team to shoot in the other team's net with their goaler trying to stop it." He rambled, but the only thing I picked out of it is that it can get longer... just great.

The game was long, too long. It felt like it was taking forever. I almost fell asleep on the man who sat on my other side. But as it finally ended, I breathed in relief, thankful there wasn't any extension of some sort.

After passing the traffic to get up the stairs and in the huge corridors, Joey started speed walking towards a certain place. Literally running after him, I noticed he kept getting quicker by the second and it got me out of breath easily.

"Stay here." He ushered. "I need to go to the bathroom!"

He shouted the last part over his shoulder, not going to lie, it kind of embarrassed me as people turned around to stare. Never heard an adult state his need to go to the bathroom? Because I did... just did.

But as my eyes wondered, I spotted an empty corridor, making me smile at how peaceful it seemed comparing to the hectic atmosphere I was presently standing in the middle of. Without a second thought, I found myself standing calmly against the cold brick wall.

I noticed a black metal door a little further down... I guess my curiosity got the best of me, because I found myself standing in front of it in matter of seconds. My mind told me to step back out in the chaos going on back there, but as soon as my hand met the handle, those thoughts quickly escaped my mind.

Closing the door quietly behind me, I only found myself into a huge hall, multiple doors crowding the cream coloured walls. I inspected them closely, noticing the metallic plates with different things written on them.

One had nothing written on it and that picked my curiosity. Don'tWhat if there's police officers in there? What if you go to jail-

But I had already twisted the doorknob, turning around to look close it as quietly as possible, but it was complete silence in here. I doubted anyone could possibly this quiet, it was as if I'd hear a rain droplet three miles away.

Chuckling, my dumb thoughts made me laugh. Adjusting my cap, I swiftly looked to my right, seeing a hanger with a clean vest hanging on it. Raising my eyebrows, my gaze shifted to the left, spotting a clipboard. Confused, I spun around, my eyes widening.

I was damn wrong.
