3. Slumber Party!

"No way!" a Addy screamed. "You've got to be kidding!"

"I wish!" replied Maddie, flicking back her long blonde hair. "She walked right up to me and said ' You've got to be joking! That skirt with those shoes?'"

"She's got nerve to mess with you after what you did to Amy," Natalie scoffed. "She's going to pay, right?"

"Of course she is!" Maddie exclaimed. "Why wouldn't she?"

The three besties nodded as they dove into the bowls of candy. Natalie pushed her sleeping bag across the carpet and leaned closer to Maddie, who was sprawled gracefully across her bed.

"So what next?" she asked, shoving a handful of M'n'M's into her mouth while pushing a piece of brown hair out of her face. Addy crawled closer too, braiding her black hair, with a mischievous look on her Asian face.

"I've got an idea!" she said. The other 2 girls looked at her expectantly. "I've got a great ghost story to tell you guys!" They all chorused their agreements. Maddie scrambled up to turn off the lights while Addy got out a flashlight. Turning it on, Addy started her story.

"A long time ago, this house belonged to a Victorian family. A mother, a father, and two twins. The girls were beautiful, with long, curly blonde hair and sparkling baby blue eyes. They were only 7 when a horrible accident happened."

"What happened?" squeaked Natalie, her eyes wide.

"The girls' aunt and uncle came to visit one day. They were out playing Ring Around The Rosie, while the adults were watching. It was a favorite game of theirs. Later that night, when Aunt Eleanor and Uncle Spencer had gone to their guest room, something happened. But nobody knows what. They only know that the next morning, when their mother came to wake them up, that one of the twins was DEAD! She had a knife buried in her chest, and her face was frozen in fear. And to this day, nobody knows what happened to her. But some people say that at night, they can hear a little girl singing, 'Ring around the rosie, pockets full of posies, ashes, ashes, we all fall down.'"
