The Burning of Blood

This is a true story of mine. I was going to put it in my diary but I feel that this is something I will never forget. If you want one of the worst memories of mine, then here it is. This is a short story, with a whole world of hurt.

2. The Aftermath

A day later I saw him and ran up to him. He was limping and stumbling across the pavement with a crutch. The expression on his face showed it all as I asked him if he was ok. He didn't answer but kept looking at me. I then asked him if he knew what had happened to the gang, and he shook his head. So I told him that they had been suspended for two weeks and have been cautioned by the police. If they were to ever lay a finger on him again then they would all be arrested. He smiled vaguely and I comforted him. He told me how terrible he felt and he said that he felt terrible because of how much I cried. I was touched by his kindness and sweetness. I held his hand and cradled it, I asked him if things would be alright. He looked at me but didn't answer. Although he didn't answer, the look in his eyes said it all.
