Writing with love - Friendzone

Love letters are kind of dated, they are not really written anymore. a simple letter written by hand and not some words on a printed out word document or like any others would send in a email now a days. no a real one, a genuine letter that gets you intrigued. that makes you want to know the person behind the words.

Allison writes a handwritten letter, after some serious talking her into it by her best friend. When she sends it to her favorite band member she didn't expect to get an answer. not at all in fact, because what world famous boy have time to write a letter right?

Liam has changed after the breakup with Sophia, he uncomfortable in crowds and more shy than before. He wants to change back to his old self but he doesn't know how. The boys get a box of fan stuff sent to the office and Liams eyes gets caught on a simple envelope with a all handwritten letters.
he feels like he need to answer it, so without the others noticing it he hides it and takes it home.

17. Troubles

- Allison-

I groaned and turned around to reach for the phone. I didn't want to open it really. I didn't want to ruin the moment that we were having. I felt so content and safe and so so happy laying there next to Liam and I really didn't want to ruin that.

but it could have been Miranda telling me that she ha checked out of the hotel and was on her way to get me. it was time to go home.

I didn't want to go home though. I wanted to stay, with Liam.

spend more time with and get to know him more. I sighed and rolled over on my back again holding the phone over my head unlocking the screen and navigating into the messages.

my heart stopped at the picture that filled the screen. it was my grandfathers bookstore. it was totally destroyed. books were scattered over the floor and pages ripped out and crumbled up into balls all over the place. shelf's were laying on the floor and it was total chaos. on the wall behind the counter where my grandfather had had old pictures of celebrities that had visited the store and his wedding picture along with my parents wedding photo as well was covered in big bold red letters. I could see that the picture frames was scatted on the floor as well and the glass was everywhere. I looked at the letters and my heart stopped once again and my eyes welled up with tears.

it said. my breath hitched and Liam then reacted pulling the phone out of my limp hands looking at the picture as well. I could feel how he tensed up and then how the bed dipped as he got up. he took his own phone and dialed a number as he started to walk back and forth on the bedroom floor. I sat up against the headboard and just watched him.

"Paul, I need your help." was all he said before he laid his eyes on me.

he gave me a small reassuring smile before he left the room with both mine and his phone. I had total faith in him. I trusted Liam with my life, I knew he was going to keep me safe.

I sighed and crawled out of bed to make some tea in the kitchen. Liam was nowhere to be found but as I reached the kitchen I could see that the balcony door was slightly open and that he was paceing outside with a cigarette tightly between his fingers that he once and a few seconds took a new drag from. I frowned upon the fact that he smoked but then I felt like I couldn't really judge him. he was grown up and it was his choice. I just didn't think he did it.

that was when it hit me that we didn't know small things like that about each other. I started to make some tea I saw how he lighted a new cigarette before sitting down on one of the chairs that was close to him at that point. he looked worried. he drew  his hand through his short hair, visibly sighed and while still holding the cigarette rubbed his eyes, still on the phone.

he then nodded and took a new drag from the cigarette before ending the call looking out in the distance. he was in deep thought.

as I was finished with the cups I grabbed them and two blankets from the couch and walked out to him. he looked up as he heard that I opened the door and got out to him.

"are you okay?" I asked as I put the cups down on the little table next to the chair and wrapped one of the blankets over his shoulders and sat down on his lap draping the other one over our legs.

Liam took one final drag from the cigarette and put it down in the ashtray before he reached for a cup and gave it to me before leaning back and holding me tight into his chest. I leaned my head on top of his. it was like he thought I would disappear if he let go.

"I should be the one asking you that." he whispered into the crook of my neck.

"I'm fine. I'm just so angry, why would he do that to my grandfather? that was his whole life's work. he opened that shop when my mom was just a newborn, my mom loved that shop and she was spending just as much time in there as I do when she was my age. he was planing on giving it to her when she turned 40 so that he could go into a early retirement. but that never happened." I sighed and looked at the view that was in front of us.

"you never really talked about you parents." Liam said as he leaned back a bit to look at me.

"they died when I was 11 years old. they were the happiest couple I have ever seen. they really loved each other." I told him.

"I'm sorry." he said.

"it's a long time ago now. I still miss them but I'm always going to miss them. I'm always going to wish they were here when the big things happen. I wished they could have met you. I think they would have loved you. My mom would have thought you where this perfect prince charming that she would bake cookies for since she would think you were to skinny and my dad would have lectured you about being safe and not to hurt me because he knew karate and that he would kill you if you hurt me. he didn't know karate by the way. he couldn't even kill a fly even if he had tried. they were the kindest people to live on this earth." I laughed at the memories I had of them as well as the thought of what they would have done if they would have met Liam.

"they sound like really nice people." Liam smiled and softly drew his fingers up and down my back under the blanket that was covering us.

"they were." I smiled.

we sat in silence for a few minutes before my phone started to ring. I looked at the screen and saw Miranda's face covering the it.

"Hello?" I said.

"you text me saying it was urgent. are you okay?" she said sleepily from the other end.

"We have to go home, like now. Jamie was in the bookstore and trashed it." I said standing up and walked up to the railing on the balcony leaning on it looking out over the houses and at the grayish dull sky that was painted above me.

"he what? yeah i'll be right there. I'm packing all our stuff and check out." she rushed and I could hear her ruffle with the covers.

"you need to leave" she said.

"Leave where?" I asked deciding to act stupid since I knew that she had had a guy over last night.

"what? no not you Alli. Kyle, I need to leave. no it's my room. I'm sorry." she said and kept rushing around in the other end.

"I'm going to get something to eat now and I'll see you later at Liam's." I chuckled and only heard her grunt a good bye before ending the call.

I smiled and turned to see that Liam wasn't in the chair anymore. I kept looking out over the town for a few more minutes before getting inside. I closed the balcony door and walked over to the kitchen where Liam was frying some eggs and making some more tea.

"how domesticated you are." I chuckled and hugged him from behind.

"I know enough to survive." he said and joined in my chuckles.

"that's good enough." I said and kissed the spot right above the shirt neckline on his neck before letting him go to set the table.

"you think?" I asked and looked surprised at him.

"I only just found you, i'm not letting you go." he said.

the atmosphere become serious but it wasn't like it was uncomfortable or terrifying in any way. this was actually the first time the subject of our future came up. it was a really good opportunity to talk about where we were going and what we where. what we where suppose to be. I kept looking at him and he kept looking at me. it was harder to breath but in a good way?

"would you like to come with me back to meet my grandparents?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.

I don't think he know what a big deal this is for me. how much he meant to me to actually be introduced to them. he smiled and I knew that he understood then.

even if I hadn't told him he didn't need to be told. he just knew.

"yeah, we could make it a road trip and maybe go see my parents too? I really would like you to meet my family" he said and blushed.

"yeah, I would love that." I smiled and I didn't know how but suddenly we were just a few inches apart from each other.

he leaned in and just as we were about to kiss the doorbell rang. what was it with things to interrupt us all the time? I sighed and shook my head smiling at him. he went back to the stove to check the eggs and I got over to the door.

I checked my face in the mirror before opening the door, I didn't want to look weird or anything when I didn't know who was on the other side of the door.

the smile I had plastered on quickly faded when I saw that tall brunette on the other side of the door. the smile she had had disappeared and was replaced with a scowl. as she was about to open her mouth to say something the door to the elevator opened and my best friend appeared with both mine and her bags and a coffeecup-holder with three cups whizzling on a tune I was positive she had played in the car on the way to London a week ago.

"Hi darling, I brought us coffee." she said as she came up, totally ignoring Sophia standing there beside.

"Liam's in the kitchen." I said and stood back to let her pass me.

Sophia was about to walk pass too but I held my hand up. Liam didn't want her here, so I wasn't about to let her inside if he didn't say it was okay.

"I don't think you are welcome." I said.

"Liam still loves me, he will come around. let me in, you do not decide." she said and sounded so bitchy.

"no." I said sternly and wouldn't budge.

"Liam's mine. you are just some.. money seeking bitch that is for the moment taking up his time to make him forget but doesn't have to waste his time on you anymore, I'm back and I'm not going anywhere." she smirked as she said that like she knew something that I didn't.

that was when she looked over me and saw what I was wearing. I was still in Liam's grey sweats and his old batman-shirt.

"I think that you got it all wrong. you don't know him anymore and I don't think that you have the right to call him yours. you lost that right a long time ago when you guys broke up." I said.

"you don't know him like I do." she tried.

"no not yet but I'm getting to know the real him. and now it's time for you to leave and you don't have to come back." I said and waved shortly before shutting the door in her face.

that felt so good. I didn't hit her like I firstly wanted to do but I got the final word. I turned around and was met by my best friend and Liam looking at me.

"what?" I asked.

"so proud." Miranda smiled shaking her head and got back into the kitchen.

"I agree." Liam said and opened his arms for me to come into a hug.

I hugged him back and when we let go we got into the kitchen to eat the breakfast that Liam had prepared for us.

I was so happy at the moment. I had nearly forgotten the chaos that was waiting for me back home.

I'm sorry for the wait guys. writers block sucks and a death in the family doesn't really help. this chapter is a bit unedited but I wrote this not really knowing where the writing was going to lead me but I'm quite happy with the outcome actually. at least the block was lifted long enough to give me this.

enjoy the reading and tell me what you think about the chapter. :)
