Writing with love - Friendzone

Love letters are kind of dated, they are not really written anymore. a simple letter written by hand and not some words on a printed out word document or like any others would send in a email now a days. no a real one, a genuine letter that gets you intrigued. that makes you want to know the person behind the words.

Allison writes a handwritten letter, after some serious talking her into it by her best friend. When she sends it to her favorite band member she didn't expect to get an answer. not at all in fact, because what world famous boy have time to write a letter right?

Liam has changed after the breakup with Sophia, he uncomfortable in crowds and more shy than before. He wants to change back to his old self but he doesn't know how. The boys get a box of fan stuff sent to the office and Liams eyes gets caught on a simple envelope with a all handwritten letters.
he feels like he need to answer it, so without the others noticing it he hides it and takes it home.

18. maybe it's all over

- Allison -

it took us nearly an hour to get ready to go back home. Liam let us get ready in his bathroom while he was packing a little overnight bag with stuff he could need. he seemed exited to meet my grandparents. he seemed really exited by the fact that I would meet his family too.

he had already won over Miranda so I didn't think that my grandparents would be that big of a deal actually. they just wanted me to be happy and the hole legend or what ever thing with the love at first sight thing made it easier for them to understand.

I'm 20 years old and I have found the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with. Our friends have proven to work very well together and that meant so much for me since Miranda was practically my only friend and her opinion meant so much more.

I had called my grandfather just before we got changed and he told me what happened. they were alright but a bit shaken up about what happened in the bookstore. I was so relived that nothing had happened to them.

I don't know why Jamie did such a thing to the bookstore that my grandparents owned when it was with me he had an issue. but I guess he thought it was a good way to get to me and he was kind of right. Both Miranda and Liam had convinced me that it was time to go to the police when we got back.

This hole thing needed to stop, before somebody got hurt. Liam had asked Paul to do a background check on Jamie and we waited for Paul to get back to us. Liam was looking through some folders by the kitchen counter while Miranda and I made some sandwiches for the road.

our bags were repacked and ready by the door. I walked around the counter and looked down into the folder over Liam's shoulder. it was house prospects. was he looking for a house?

"what are you looking at?" I asked him as I folded my arms around his neck.

"houses." he mumbled and caressed my arm absentmindedly as he kept reading the prospects.

"what kind of houses?" I asked curiously.

"I was thinking of getting a house with a garden. a house to build a family in, I just don't seem to find a good one." he said frowning.

"can I see?" I asked as my curiosity was getting the hold of me.

"sure, but nothing seems to stand out of these though." he said pushing the folders closer to me next to him.

I watched through the folders and he was right, nothing seemed to stand out. I sighed and gave the folders back. I kissed his cheek and went back around the counter to help Miranda again.

"none of those seemed to.. be a right fit for you." I said cutting the sandwiches into triangles and cutting the crust of.

"I know, I could go past the agency-thing and get a set of new prospects though." he said taking a sip of his cold ice tea.

"sure. nothing to loose on that." I said nodding, putting the sandwiches in some bags to later put into the cooler we were preparing.

"okay." he said simply and got the folders into a pile with a smile.

I smiled back and it was like we were having a moment of magic. Like it was suppose to happen like this. Like this was the way we were suppose to find our house, the house we wanted to live in. Like he hadn't found a house because in some weird twisted way he had waited to meet me.

Suddenly the silence broke by my best friends giggle.

"What?" both me and Liam asked at the same time.

"you are so adorable." she chuckled and packed the last stuff into the cooler.

Liam's phone started to vibrate and the batman signature melody broke the air. Liam pressed the green button and he instantly had an serious face on. It must have been Paul that called.

As the called went on I got more and more worried. It was like I could read that something was terribly wrong and that Liam did not like the things that he heard. he sighed and shook his head before ending the call.

"what's the deal?" Miranda asked as she came up and pulled me closer to her by her arm around my shoulders.

I felt like I was in some kind of chock. Like it could be nothing good that had come out of that conversation. Paul must have found something really terrible about Jamie for Liam to look that pissed.

Liam's hands were tightly shut into fists and his whole face screamed of anger. he took some deep breathes and tried to calm himself down.

"Li?" I asked but I didn't need to hear it, I knew that it wasn't good.

"He has done this before, more than once. he was arrested about this kind of thing before. One of the girls he did this to is in a psych-ward in Alabama." He said.

"Oh my god." Miranda gasped.

"he is wanted in the US for this."

"he said that he just moved here but he didn't sound like an American. he doesn't sound like a foreigner." I gasped.

"He's not going to get away with this. he's going behind bars." Liam growled.

it was quiet for a few minutes before all of us started to shuffle around to get on the road. we all knew the seriousness of the matter and we didn't need to talk about our fears about it more than necessary.

Me and Miranda were tucked into her car and Liam was driving his car right behind us. we all needed space too cool of and to get our mind straight, to understand what all of this meant.

Halfway on our journey I got a text from Liam saying we should stay at a rest stop just a few minutes up the road. I text him back saying agreeing to take a break. Miranda smiled as I told her about the stop and turned into the rest stop and parked. Liam parked right behind us before getting out of the car like we did. there was a small picnic table right by our cars and some bathrooms at the end of the stop. Liam sighed and pulled me into a hug and squeezed me tight before kissing my forehead. it was okay, we were okay. I let a breath out that I didn't even knew that I really had been holding. it wasn't really a fight, we hadn't fought. it was just.. I couldn't explain it but it didn't matter anymore, because we were fine and the tension that had been building ever since we found out the truth about Jamie just disappeared. it was like we were all back to our chatty self's and we joked around a bit before getting on the road again. it was starting to get dark out since we started the ride much later that we first had planed since we had waited on Paul to do the background check. I offered to drive the last bit and Miranda was tired so she happily agreed.

it took us a other couple of hours before we were nearly back into town. I was starting to recognize some of the landmarks and I couldn't help but to smile at the fact that I was nearly home and that Liam was soon to meet my grandparents.

it was just a few miles left when met a car going quite fast with the headlights on it's brightest level on. I couldn't see anything, the lights where blinding me. suddenly the car was going right at me and I could hear the brakes squeak as I stood on them and tried to stear out of the way. I was so scared and my heart was pounding.

All I could think about was Liam, how much I loved him and I much he meant to me. Miranda had woken up by the sudden movement. she screamed and then it all went black as the other car went straight into the drivers door and made Miranda's car volt down the ditch of the road. the glass were breaking and the car made a pirouette in the air before landing on its roof.

then it went quiet. only the birds that was still up and the wheels that was still spinning were heard. it had all happened so fast that I couldn't really understand that it really happened at all.

this was just things that happened on the news to other people. not to me, not to my best friend.

"Li.. Liam?!" I tried to scream his name for him to help me, for him to find me.

"Allison!" I heard his voice but it was getting further and further away.

I heard it again and I saw his face with a stream of blood from his temple. when our eyes connected I felt safe, just like I did every time he was around.

So I just closed my eyes and was filled with the darkness that surrounded us out on the dark road in practically the middle of no where.

I was going in and out of conciseness, Liam was crying and Miranda was screaming again. she was panicking and it was nothing I could do to help her, to calm her. the last thing I heard before it all went black again was the sirens of the ambulance.

I griped Liam's hand as tightly that I could and waited, the more the black took over the more something made me loose my grip on Liam.

oh shit.. I'm sorry... I did not plan on this.. what made me do that?
