Writing with love - Friendzone

Love letters are kind of dated, they are not really written anymore. a simple letter written by hand and not some words on a printed out word document or like any others would send in a email now a days. no a real one, a genuine letter that gets you intrigued. that makes you want to know the person behind the words.

Allison writes a handwritten letter, after some serious talking her into it by her best friend. When she sends it to her favorite band member she didn't expect to get an answer. not at all in fact, because what world famous boy have time to write a letter right?

Liam has changed after the breakup with Sophia, he uncomfortable in crowds and more shy than before. He wants to change back to his old self but he doesn't know how. The boys get a box of fan stuff sent to the office and Liams eyes gets caught on a simple envelope with a all handwritten letters.
he feels like he need to answer it, so without the others noticing it he hides it and takes it home.

12. Dinner and an other thing coming

- Allison -

it was so different from any other boy I had ever met before.

Liam was kind, he was adorable and sweet and he showed so much care. we  talked for what seemed for hours and we more and more felt like we had known each other for longer than just a few months.

"hungry?" he asked when the clock over his open fireplace turned 6 o'clock.

"yeah, a bit." I answered him.

the tea had gone cold a long time ago. but we didn't care, we were to busy getting to know each other better.

"want to order some pizza? maybe some Chinese?" he asked.

"what's in your fridge?" I asked and stood up walking into his kitchen.

"uhm, I don't know. I usually eat out." he said.

"you don't cook at all?" I asked.

I had just opened the fridge door but looked up at him over the door. he was scratching the back of his neck and I noticed a small blush on his cheeks.

"well, I'm not that great at cooking and I usually don't have time to cook since my schedule is pretty packed but I enjoy it from time to time. doing it for survival." he gave me a little smile.

"well lets see what you got." I said and dove into his fridge.

"I'm not that sure you'll find that much in there." he chuckled.

"no, but sometimes you can make a really nice meal with what you got home." I smiled.

we found some fresh pasta, red onions, beacon, salad, cream, butter, cucumber, tomatoes and in the cupboard we found some crutongs, flower and some spices.

"so here's the deal, you chop theses things into a salad and I'll make a.. carbonara." I said giving him the items for the salad.

"where's your wand? you must have done some magic to find all that in my kitchen." Liam asked.

"there's no magic. you just have to wing it sometimes. not everything has to be after a recipe." I told him and watched him get out some knives and and pots and pans.

"to me it is." he chuckled again.

"well it's not." I joined in his chuckle.

we cook under silence. it's not like we couldn't talk, we have talked all afternoon. we shared looks and smiles and when Liam had finished the salad he started to set the table for us.

"foods done." I said getting the plates full of food to the table.

"candles?" Liam asked and pulled out a lighter from his pocket.

"sure." I smiled sitting down on the chair he had pulled out for me.

Liam was lighting the candles on the table when we heard a key being turned in the front door. he looked at me and then back to the door. he frowned and I felt like that wasn't a good sign. who had a key to his apartment? my heart was pounding so hard and loud I thought Liam could hear it, hell even the person trying to get into his apartment could have heard it for all I knew.

the door cracked open and Liams face dropped. he got pale and he had a hurt expression over his eyes. I stood up from the chair I was sitting on and got up to him. I didn't look towards the door, I was to afraid to. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it though, to let him know I was here for him.

"I barely turn my back and you move on?" a girl's voice sounded from the door.

"you broke up with me, you stopped loving me. you have no right to come here, into my house and say that." Liam said through gritted teeth.

"Li, don't be like that." the girl said.

It was then I looked at her, her long brown hair was hanging straight over her shoulders. she wore a light brown coat with matching knee-length and high-heel boots. she walked into the kitchen and set her bag on the counter laying her keys next to it. she started to unbutton her coat and revealed a black dress that hugged her curves very nicely.

"don't make your self comfortable Sophia, you are not staying." Liam said, again through gritted teeth.

"why haven't you returned any of my phone calls babe?" she said ignoring him asking her to leave.

"there's a reason for that. now leave!" he said.

"Honey, I know you have missed me. don't be like that. send the child home so we can catch up." she smiled evilly and watched her red painted nails.

"No, you are the one leaving." Liam insisted.

"Liam, Love.. don't be like this. I know you still love me." she smiled again but this time she was looking down on me giving me a frown.

"leave." Liam almost screamed.

"who is the whore?" Sophia said walking up to Liam trying to seduce him I guess.

"don't you ever talk to her like that. you are not welcome here. give me the key and leave." Liam said shaking of her hand as she tried to touch his arm.

"Li, baby." she tried to laugh it of but I could see that she was getting annoyed that he wasn't doing what she wanted.

she was getting more and more frustrated, she looked like a girl that got everything she wanted. I strongly disliked her from the start. she tried the hole puppy dog eyes thing, her eyes got a bit glossy and she gave Liam a look telling him that she wanted him back with just her eyes.

- Liam -

"That stopped working the day you said you stopped loving me. the day you said you had found someone else." I said.

I walked past her to the counter where she had put her keys and bag. I removed my apartment-key putting it in my pocket and grabbed her coat and bag walking over to the door. I didn't want her to be here. I didn't love her anymore, I did't want her.

I wanted Allison.

I opened the front door looking at Sophia letting her know that enough was enough.

"how can you choose that cow over me? she isn't even cute. she doesn't know you like I do. I haven't stopped loving you Liam." Sophia sniffled.

the thing was I could see right through that now. It was like she had had me under a spell before and that had worked on getting me under it again. but now I just saw her for what she was. selfish and arrogant and a mess. not even a hot mess just a mess.

a part of me even asked why I had even dated her in the first place.

"It's an easy choice Sophia. she will never treat me like you did. she would never even consider the possibility to act like you just did or over the past months. I don't hate you Soph, I just really don't want to be with you." I said giving her her stuff as she walked past me.

"I'm not giving up on us, I know that in a few weeks you'll come back to me." she said.

she stood up on her toes to give me a kiss on the lips but I turned so it ended up on my cheek. I could see that it hurt her that I did that but what did she expect? that I would welcome her back just like that?  I didn't want her back.

it wasn't just because how she had treated me, I just realized that I hadn't loved her as mush as I had thought I had. I cared for her but it would never be more than a friend.

"are you okay?" I asked Alli as I closed the door and walked back over to her.

"I'm fine. are you okay?" she asked and laid her small hand on my cheek.

"I'm okay." I said looking down on the floor.

"Wanna hug?" she asked.

I couldn't do anything other then laugh. it released the tension that had overtaken the room when my ex had walked into my apartment. I gave her a hug and she hugged me tightly back. I smelled the strawberry sent from her shampoo in my nose as I hid my face into the crock of her neck. she smelled so good. even if I couldn't see her face in that moment I knew she smiled. we hugged for several minutes just holding each other making sure that we both were okay.

"you hungry?" she asked and giggled while she drew letters and symbols on my back.

"yeah, starving." I chuckled and stepped back.

"then lets eat. I think we need some food." she smiled getting over to the table.

we sat down and had dinner together. the thought of my ex left us pretty fast after we started to eat and for the rest of the night she wasn't even mentioned. by the end of the night I drove her home to the hotel she was staying at and we had already decided to meet again.

I just want to say that for the record that this Sophia and everything she is doing in the book is fictional. Sophia is a beautiful girl and she seems like a really down to earth and really nice kind of girl. She made Liam happy and what's going on between them is only between them. As long as Liam is happy so am I.

what's your opinion on Sophia in this book verses the real Sophia?
