9. Chapter 9

We drive in silence. The boys are texting their girlfriends what is going on.

If Joe gets her, he'll kill her. Then I won't have a purpose to live. I live because I her. She is my reason for life.

"Guys, what if he gets her?" I ask worriedly. Louis sighs. "Remember that time Payton kicked me in the leg and I screamed and fell to the ground?" Louis asks. I nod. "We'll, she's a tough girl. She can handle herself mate," he says. His words give me a sense of hope.

We finally pull into the parking lot if the hotel.  We all walk in and I catch a glimpse of Joe. My eyes widen as he goes upstairs. He's looking for her room. "Liam! Take it from here!" I say and begin chasing down Joe.

He takes a turn down the hall. Harry texted me the room number. Room 142. He heads into the hallway which has their room. He reached the door and I hide behind a plant. He put the key card into the slot and was about to swipe but I scream, "Joe!" He looks in my direction and smirks. "Horan. What a pleasant surprise," he says. "Just give me the money Horan and you can keep your girl," he adds. I shake my head, "I did give you the money. 3 times to be exact. You keep saying I owe you but I don't. The truth is you're broke an you need money for your drugs and alcohol." He stares at me and squints his eyes studying me. He throws the key card in my direction. I stop to pick it up. He rushes into the room he previously unlocked when I bent over. "Payton!" I cry. "Harry!"

I run into the room and Joe is pointing a gun at me. I stop sea in my tracks. I glance over at Payton who is crying. Her head in head in her hands. Harry stares at me in disbelief.

Joes hands tighten on the handle of the gun. I close my eyes tightly. Lets get this over with. Then the gun shot goes off.
