Danny and Owen. Two young lovers. Banned from seeing each other by disapproving parents. They do everything they can to stay together. But their parents are onto them.

4. Cinema-Owen

I checked my watch again. If Danny didn't hurry up would get rubbish seat behind a really tall moody bloke. c'mon Danny. Hurry up. I stayed outside the cinema for another ten minutes before Danny showed up. I smiled at her as she got out but she didn't return it. She looked furious and then I saw her mum getting out of the car too. I stared wide eyed at Danny as she looked in my direction. She just shook her head and looked her feet as she shuffled towards me.

"Pretend you don't know me" Danny murmured as she shuffled past but it was too late. Her mum had seen my confusion and panic.

"I assume your the person my daughter is meeting today." She glared down at me as if I was a stain on her favourite white dress. Danny spun on her heel and looked at me apologetically. I cleared my throat.

"Er. Yeah, I'm Owen." I extended my hand but Danny's mum ignored it. Her stare became nastier. Her eyes narrowed. I stole a worried glance at Danny. She didn't  say anything but instead took my hand in hers and stared defiantly at her mum. This seemed to infuriate her even more. Her mum drew herself up to her full height.

"I would like your mother's number." I stared at her, shocked. I glanced at Danny who closed her eyes and seemed to deflate as if remembering an embarrassing memory. I fished out my phone and scrolled through my contacts list.

"Um, 07956442739" Danny's mum typed it into her phone and put it to her ear. The same words looped round in my head, I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dead. I prayed that mum wouldn't pick up the phone. But she did.
