Phyre Gunner: The Spy (Editing Process)

Phyre Gunner. Teenager. Rebel. Spy. Troublemaker. Genius. American. Genetically Perfect.

After the passing of her father, Phyre became the imperfect daughter. After too many detentions and schools, LSA comes looking for the one person that can help them save the world, the same person that is genetically perfect, Phyre Gunner.

32. Tell or Lie

That couldn’t be true! Michael must know about this! Did he know? Didn’t they research people before they got close to someone from LSA? I was breathing heavily as I stared at my computer screen, if what I had here was true, it meant that I was in more danger than ever, I have to get out of here.

I gulped and started typing a message to Adam and Tyler, they could help get the message to Mr. Right and he could fix all this problem. The only issue left, was if I have to tell Michael or I keep it hidden.

“Phyre!” I heard Marianna shout. “Dinner’s ready!”

I closed my eyes for a moment, I hit the send button and hid once again my old laptop before washing my hands and walking towards the dinning room. I can’t believe that she would be part of it, there was no way that Michael could have not seen that. If he didn’t know it was because he didn’t do the research, and if he knew, then he’s a motherfucker and I will torture to him till the end of his days.

“Something wrong?” Michael questioned.

“No why?” I questioned.

“You seem kinda off.” Michael said.

“Oh no, I’m just tired.” I lied. “After dinner I’m going to bed.”

“Sure.” Michael smiled.

I sat on my designated seat and waited for Marianna and Michael to be seated down before eating. Throughout dinner, we spoke about our day and when Michael questioned Marianna why she had gone once again to the grocery shop, she claimed that she had forgotten some lotions that she needed. By the look that Michael mastered when he answered, I knew that he didn’t buy the lie, but that he wasn’t going to keep questioning any further and then he turned to ask me about my day.

After dinner I only half helped to clean the table before they shooed me so that I could rest as I had a long day at school. I thanked them and ran to get ready to go to bed, but I was more than sure that I wasn’t going to go to bed anytime soon. Once I was ready, I opened my super sealed box and took out a GPS tracker from it, once everyone was as sleep I will start my plan on figuring out why the hell I am stuck in here.

“Phyre?” Michael questioned.

“Yeah?” I replied opening the door.

“May I come in?” Michael asked.

I looked back and saw that my room was a mess so that there was no problem. “Sure come in.” I stepped back.

“Something’s up.” Michael said. “And I need your help to figure it out.”

“What?” I questioned confused. “What are you talking about?”

“Marianna has been very secretive for the past couple of months and I want to know what she is up to.” Michael explained. “I know that I asked you not to do anything that was spy related, but you are the best person that I know that would be able to find out what I need.”

“What do you need me to do?” I questioned with a smirk.

“Put a GPS tracker on her car, hack into her phone and see who’s she talking to and stuff.”

“Only that?” I questioned. “I can hack into her computer and check out emails and internet searches.”

“Do what you have to do.” Michael said. “I just want to know what she is hiding from me.”

I nodded and Michael stood up to leave my room. “Michael.”

“Yes?” He replied.

“I have something important to tell you about Marianna.” I said.

“What?” Michael questioned furrowing his eyebrows.

“She’s part of-” I was cut off.

“Honey!” Marianna called. “Help me please.”

“Tell me tomorrow.” Michael said and left.

I let out a frustrated growl. The good thing about this was the fact that I know had permission to do what I was already doing.
