Phyre Gunner: The Spy (Editing Process)

Phyre Gunner. Teenager. Rebel. Spy. Troublemaker. Genius. American. Genetically Perfect.

After the passing of her father, Phyre became the imperfect daughter. After too many detentions and schools, LSA comes looking for the one person that can help them save the world, the same person that is genetically perfect, Phyre Gunner.

28. First Normal Day

     “Clear?” Michael questioned.

“Clear.” I replied as I strapped my backpack. “I can’t act like a spy.”

“You’re a normal teenager.” Michael said. “Please behave.”

“I will try my best.” I winked. “See you later I guess.” I added and walked outside to meet with Mariana.

She gave me a sweet smile before entering the car. I followed her and as soon as I got in she started the car. None of us spoke on our way to school, I didn’t have anything to say, and I’m pretty sure Mariana didn’t have anything either...

The ride lasted twenty minutes, we said a nice goodbye and she parted towards the teachers office whilst I made my way to the office so that I could get my schedule and stuff.

“Hello.” I smiled to the secretary. “My name is Phyre Gunner and I’m here for my schedule.”

“Oh.” The secretary smiled. “Miss Gunner, give me a moment please.”

I gave her a simple nod. “By all means.”

I walked over to a bench and sat down waiting for the lady to call me back up, I’m pretty sure that they are looking for someone to show me around school, as if they only knew that I already had hacked into their database and know every possible secret and escape routes from this school.

Perks of being a spy.

“You called me?” I heard a sweet baritone voice speak. I lifted my head and saw the back of boy. He had black hair, was wearing a white shirt and some jeans with boots.

“Oh yes sweetie.” The lady smiled. “You have to show around to Miss Gunner.”

“Okay.” He said. “Where is she?”

“Here.” I replied standing up next to him. “Phyre.” I smiled.

“Brad.” He replied with a wink. “I have your schedule and if I am not mistaken we share every class so it won’t be a problem.”

“Perfect.” I smiled. “Shall we start?”

“Right behind you.” Brad smirked.

“Not the time to check out my ass.” I winked as I passed by him.

I heard Brad chuckle, and he soon caught up with me. I need to know more about this Brad dude before lunch, there has to be a way of figuring him out, and no, I don’t mean by playing 20 questions with him, I mean by the spy stuff.

“You’re from America right?” Brad questioned as we walked around the empty hallways.

“I guess my accent told you so?” I tilted my head to the side.

“You are right.” He winked. “I like it. It is different from ours.”

“Well kinda obvious.” I shrugged. “What class are we going to?”

“Math.” He replied. “Up to it?”

“I’m always up for a challenge.” I replied and entered the classroom.

If this was going to be the start of my normal life, I couldn’t wait for it. I might not be allowed to do ‘spy’ things, but wanna know something? It’s even better to do it when you are not allowed.
