Safe And Sound (Triquel to Red)

"Elizabeth Ashton was more that just a girl to me. She was my best friend, she was the love of my life, she was my light. Since the day I met her when we were 5 years old there hasn't been a single day that I didn't love her. Without her, I wouldn't be the man I am today. She taught me so many things. She taught me to never give up on myself and to never let anyone tell me who I am, who I want to be. She taught me to believe in myself even when no one else did. Through the 15 years that I knew her, just the thought of her made me smile. Now I can't help but look back on all of the memories we made. The pillow fights, the sleep overs, the ghost stories. She made me happier than anyone else ever could. She put a smile on my face even when I was on the verge of tears and she always knew what to say. So much of the world knows Elizabeth Ashton as the girl who broke free from her past and created a future...

68. Disney By Day

***Beth's POV***

"Wake up ladies! Get your bums out of bed!" I heard El's voice echo through the massive suite.

Of course, there was no reply. Last night we had arrived at LAX late and we were all tired after the long flight. As soon as we arrived in our suite, we crashed.

"C'mon! Don't make me come in and get your bum up for you." El called.

"Five more minutes." I heard Perrie mumble loudly from her room beside mine.

"You're asking for it." El said cheerfully.

I slowly rolled out of my bed, rubbing my tired eyes as my feet hit the white carpeted floor. I lumbered out of my room feeling like a zombie that had just risen from the dead. I probably looked like one too. When I walked out of my room I observed my surroundings. I walked down the stairs and walked over to the full length windows that looked over the Los Angeles shore. I stood there a moment admiring the view. I wonder where Liam was right now...

"Thank god I don't have to drag you out of bed to!" El exclaimed from behind me.

I turned around and saw her walking down the stairs, Emily, Miranda and Perrie lumbering tiredly behind her.

"Yeah well I didn't feel like staying in bed all day." I told her. I looked around the vast suite. "This is some place you got..."

"Beth honey, its your bachelorette party. You only deserve the best." She told me.

"This must have cost a fortune though." I told her.

She shook her head. "Not that much. We got a deal when we explained that it was your bachelorette party."

"Elizabeth Ashton's bachelorette party or just a girls bachelorette party?" I asked.

She narrowed her eyes at me. "You're welcome."

I walked away from the window and made my way to the kitchen. "I just hate it when I get advantages just because I'm famous. I shouldn't be treated any better than the average person." I sighed.

"I actually agree with you. Its really a bit sad when you get treated better when you go places than the other people around you." Perrie told me.

"Thats why I really hope the paps don't find out my bachelorette party is here. Disneyland would be crazy and I'd get special treatment and I hate it." I told them, opening the fridge.

"We'll just keep a low profile and hope no one notices us." Emily said.

I observed the various foods in the fridge.

"Did the food come with the suite?" I asked El, still examining the contents.

"No. I had a bunch of food delivered before we arrived so we can just pig out when we're hungry." El shrugged.

"I like that idea." Emily grinned.

"Alright, so we need to eat. Then we need to get dressed and meet in the lounge. I've got a little something to give each of you before we leave." El told us.

"More presents?" I asked El, looking at her. "El, I love you and I get that you're my maid of honor but honestly, this whole trip is enough already."

She looked at me. "Beth you only get married once. These next nineteen days are your last days as a potentially single woman. The point of this week is to live while you're still young and free. I just got a few little accessories. Thats it." She told me.

I narrowed my eyes at her and smiled slightly. "Fine. But no more presents."

She chuckled a little. "Okay. No more presents. I promise."

I grabbed some strawberry yogurt out of the fridge and began to eat that.

"Harry just texted me. They just woke up and they're about to go out and do stuff. I've got no idea what that stuff is though." Miranda told us.

I just sat there and pouted.

"And Beth, he told me that Liam's been sulking all morning because he misses you." Miranda told me.

I laid my head down on the counter and groaned. "I miss him too. I hate you guys for taking my phone away."

"Rules are rules." Emily said.

"There should be a rule that the bridesmaids and maid of honor should all give their phones to the bride so that the bride can send their boyfriends a shit load of weird and stupid messages." I muttered.

"And thats why you don't make the rules." El chuckled.

I finished my yogurt and threw the container away.

"Well I'm going to go get dressed." I told them.

"Remember, meet in the lounge." El told me as I made my way up the stairs.

I waked back into my bedroom and sorted through my clothes. Finally I found a pair of baby blue high waisted shorts and a white cropped tank top. I slipped those on and walked into the bathroom attached to my bedroom. I plugged in my curling iron and got out my makeup. I did my makeup lightly and as soon as I was done I began curling my hair. Twenty minutes later my hair was in long, loose curls. I walked back into my room and grabbed my white converse and slipped them on. I grabbed a necklace and hooked it around my neck. Finally I took my ring off the bedside table where I had placed it last night and slipped it on my finger. I sat there a moment admiring it. In nineteen days this ring would be replaced with a new one. I would walk out there in my white dress and right then and there, I would commit the rest of my life to one man. Was I scared? No. Because I know with everything in me that Liam Payne is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. Nothing would ever change that. I snapped out of my thoughts and stood up. I walked out of my room and made my way down the stairs and into the lounge. Emily, Mir and Perrie were already sitting there talking.

"El isn't down here yet?" I chuckled. "I'd have thought she'd be the first one down."

"I'm not late!" El exclaimed from the top of the stairs, a large white box in her hands. "You four are just simply early. A queen is never late."

I laughed. "Did you just quote the Princess Diaries?"

"Yes I did. Problem?" She asked.

"You're a dork." Emily chuckled.

"We're all dorks. Its okay." She said. "Now, I know you're probably wondering whats in this box. Well, I'll go with the bridesmaids first so I'll save the best for last. El opened the box and pulled out three pink sashes with BRIDESMAID written on it in rhinestones.

"Oh my god. You didn't." I grinned.

"I did." El smiled.

Each sash had Emily, Perrie or Miranda written in rhinestones on the back. El handed each of them their sashes.

"And I have a shash that says Maid of Honor." El told us, pulling another pink sash out.

She slipped it over one shoulder and began rummaging through the box.

"And the best for last, the bride." El grinned, pulling a white sash out with bride to be written in cursive rhinestones. On the back 'Elizabeth' was written in cursive with rhinestones.

"Oh my god." I grinned as she handed it to me.

I slipped it over one shoulder and admired it.

"Thats not it though. We're going to Disneyland. Might as well get into the theme." She grinned.

"Oh god." Miranda laughed.

She pulled out four pink minnie mouse ear headbands.

"Since the wedding color is pink, I thought pink would be the most appropriate color for this." El told us, a smile on her face.

She handed three of the headbands to Mir, Emily and Perrie who slipped them on their heads.

"And Beth, of course since you're the bride, you need to stand out." She told me.

"Oh god, you didn't get me a huge hat to wear did you?" I asked.

She shook her head. She pulled out the same minnie mouse ears that the girls had but white and there was a veil and a small tiara instead of a bow. She handed it to me and I examined it for a moment.

"Is it weird that I actually love all of this?" I laughed.

"No. This is all part of the fun." El grinned.

I slipped the headband on my head and fixed the veil so that it was behind me.

"Well ladies, now that we've got our outfits complete. Lets go to Disneyland!" El exclaimed.

We all stood up and grabbed our bags, each of us had huge grins on our faces.

"You know, this whole trip is finally letting it all sink in." I grinned as we walked to the door. "I'm getting married."

"Exciting isn't it?" El asked.

I nodded. "Its almost unreal."

We walked out the door and got into the elevator. I pushed the button for the lobby. Thankfully the whole way down no one got on.

"Alright, one more surprise for today. Its for the whole week though." El said as we stepped out of the elevator.

As soon as we walked out of the hotel we immediately knew what El was talking about. In front of the hotel, a pink, stretch hummer limo was parked, already blasting music inside.

"You really out do yourself don't you?" I asked her.

"Its not every day one of my best friends gets married." She told me. "Now get in."

We walked up to the limo and the driver opened the door for us. I examined the inside quickly before sitting down. The girls followed me inside and the driver shut the door. Moments later the limo pulled out of the parking space as it blasted the song 'I Love It'. The whole ride to Disneyland the girls and I sung the lyrics to the songs at the top of our lungs. I was having the time of my life already and the main part of the trip hasn't even begun. Finally when the limo pulled up in front of the entrance to Disneyland and the girls and I slipped our Ray- Bans on. We hopped out of the limo and made our way to the entrance. We paid to get in and as soon as we were inside the park I turned to the girls.

"Which ride first?" I asked.

"Matterhorn." Miranda announced.

We all agreed and make our way in the direction of the large mountain shaped roller coaster. I examined the super long line and let out a groan.

"And I know you said you hated the advantages but I had a feeling none of us would want to wait in this line for an hour so I got us all fast passes." El smiled.

She held up five paper cards and I took one out of her hands. "I love you. No more though."

She grinned and we followed her to the front of the line. We showed the man our passes and he let us onto the ride instantly. We took our seats and placed our bags below our seats. We were strapped in and waited for the ride to start. As soon as the ride started it made its way up a hill slowly. As soon as it reached the top though it shot almost like a bullet through the course. It dipped up and down and side to side and at one point we got a little bit wet as it passed a waterfall. When the ride came back into the station the girls and I couldn't wipe the grins off our faces. We got off and made our way to the exit.

"That was only the first ride. Imagine what the others'll be like." El grinned.

"Lets go to Space Mountain next!" Emily exclaimed.

We nodded in agreement and made our way to Space Mountain. Again, we used our fast passes to get to the front of the line and got onto the ride. As soon as the ride started I could tell it was going to be one of the best. It shot out of the station at full speed and mate twists and turns, ups and downs. By the time it pulled into the station I could almost feel the energy inside of me growing. After we got off the ride we made our way to a few more rides before we passed Cinderella's castle.

"Lets have someone take a picture of us in front of the castle." El said excitedly.

She walked up to someone and asked if she could take a picture of us. She nodded and El handed her her phone. The girls and I got into position in front of the castle, me in the middle. At first we were hesitant in taking our sunglasses off but ended up doing it anyway. After getting a few pictures the woman gave El her phone back and we slipped out sunglasses back on.

"Guys lets go meet the princesses." I grinned.

"You, a twenty four year old wants to meet the princesses?" Emily chuckled.

"Always have, always will. Now shut up and lets go." I grinned.

We made our way over to where the princesses were and stood in line.

"I'm guessing you were one of those girls who wanted to be a disney princess when you were younger?" El chuckled.

"No El, I wanted to be THE disney princess. I wanted to be all of them combined. I was literally obsessed with Disney Princesses when I was younger." I told them.

"Didn't you and Liam dress up as Belle and the beast one Halloween?" Miranda asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. When we were six. When we were seven he convinced me to dress up as Jessie while he dressed up as Woody."

"God, you two are adorable." Perrie groaned.

"They're like Cinderella and Prince Charming." Emily grinned.

"If each of the boys was a Disney princess who would they be do you think?" El asked.

"Zayn would be Jasmine from Aladdin." Perrie said.

"Niall would be Cinderella." Emily said.

"Harry would be Sleeping Beauty." Miranda told us.

"Liam would be Belle." I smiled.

"I think Louis would be Rapunzel." El told us.

"Wait till we tell the boys about this. They'll think we're so weird." I laughed.

Soon we made our way to the front of the line and one by one we met each princess. Once we were done I couldn't stop grinning.

"Oh my gosh. Guys. We just met the princesses." I grinned.

"I swear, its like both you and Liam still have a bit of your five year old selves in you." Perrie grinned.

"We keep each other young. Sure, we may be growing up but that doesn't mean we can't act like children from time to time." I told them.

"Remember the time we came over after Danielle's conviction and found you and Liam in the middle of one of your pillow fights?" Miranda asked.

"Oh my gosh." I laughed. "That was actually really funny. Honestly, we may be together, we may be getting married but there still a part of us that are the five year old that are best friends. Thats the best part about him. Our relationship isn't awkward. Ever. We can be weird with each other and the other won't care."

"And you two have playful fights almost twenty four seven. Thats adorable." Emily grinned.

"And you all love teasing Liam and I about very personal things." I told them.

"Its just so fun to tease both of you because you get embarrassed so easily." Mir told me.

I let out a breath full of happiness. "You know, even after I've been broken and beaten down. Even after everything I've been through, I still love my life. Not only am I marrying the most amazing guy on the planet in nineteen days but I have the best friends a girl could ask for. Sure, you embarrass me, you make fun of me in playful ways, we're weird. But honestly, thats what makes me love you guys. And I'm talking about not only you four girls when I say this but the boys too. You're like my family and I'm so incredibly lucky to have all of you."

We pulled each other into a hug.

"Well for what its worth, you four are like my sisters. Blood related or not. I love you girls and I wouldn't trade you four for anything." El told us.

"Lets promise, even after all of us get married, if anything happens in our lives, we'll always be the five that couldn't be broken. Harry may have changed me a little but you girls changed me as a whole. I wouldn't trade the past six years of my life for anything." Mir told us.

"The five of us, we're forever. When it comes to us, no guy can or will ever tear us apart. No stupid slut will take one of us from the others. And no crazy psycho will cause us to break. We're sisters and no one will ever change that." I told them.

"Sisters." Emily smiled.

"Now lets give Beth an amazing Bachelorette Party!" El exclaimed.

We pulled out of the hug and  made our way to the next ride. As we were walking I spotted out of the corner of my eye Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. I quickly ran over to them, the girls quick to follow.

"Oh my gosh. Jessie and Woody. Can I have a picture?" I asked.

"Of course." Woody said through his mask.

Jessie got on one side of me and Woody on the other. The girls each took pictures and I just stood there grinning.

"One of you get this on video." I told the girls.

They all switched their phones to video and I grinned.

"ANDY'S COMING!" I yelled.

I watched with amusement as Woody and Jessie fell to the ground and stayed still like they were dolls. Jessie and Woody stood up and walked away and I grinned at the girls.

"Liam and I have wanted to do that since forever." I laughed.

"Well I just sent Louis the video and told him to show Liam." El grinned.

"That was one of the most amazing moments of my life." I grinned.

"Why did they fall anyway?" Mir asked.

"If you come to Disneyland and see a character from Toy Story, yell 'Andy's Coming' and they're supposed to fall to the ground like they're toys." I grinned.

"Thats amazing." El laughed.

"When Liam and Beth have kids, I have no doubt that their children will love Disney." Emily grinned.

"Yeah, well no one will love Disney more than their parents." I grinned.
