28. The cricket game

“Mason have you got anger issues?” I asked as I walked into the kitchen after talking to Dylan.

“Yeah didn’t you know that,” he said then he glanced at me, “Yeah there wasn’t really time was there.”

“No not really I was too busy running for my life from my crazy mother to bother asking,” I said smiling.

“I don’t mean to be rude but do you think your mother is still alive or not,” he said stammering as he saw my reaction, “You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.”

“No it’s fine,” I said smiling, “Well I thought you were dead but you’re not so I don’t know I don’t remember killing her but she could be dead I don’t know.” He nodded and turned back to what he had been doing as I had walked in.

“Hey how are you?” Dylan asked walking in holding a tennis ball then he turned to Mason, “Hey look man I’m sorry I was just trying to help Angel I didn’t mean to tick you off are we mates?”

“Yeah were mates,” Mason said turning to face Dylan and smiling, “I’m sorry too it’s not your fault I have anger issues you know and sometimes I go a bit over the top.” I smiled at them both they were making up which was great.

“So you want to play tennis,” Dylan said tossing the ball in the air, “Although I don’t have a racket just this ball so.”

“Yeah go on let’s have a game,” Mason said smiling, “I got two chopping boards we can use they worked for cricket so they might work for this.”

“Cool let’s go,” Dylan said and I watched as the two of them went outside and started hitting the ball between the two chopping boards. It looked like great fun but I was worried that they were making too much noise but I relaxed when Molly came downstairs.

“What are they doing,” Molly said smiling, “They look like right idiots.”

“They do don’t they,” I said giggling, “Apparently they are playing tennis with a tennis ball and two chopping boards it’s kind of strange but I’m more worried that they are making too much noise and I don’t want them to attract the switchers anywhere near here.”

“Yeah me either but I don’t want to break up there wonderful game,” Molly said laughing at them, “You go they won’t hate you.”

“Ok fine I’ll go,” I said and I pulled a face and ran outside to break up there amateur cricket game.
