Why earth? Why? Of all the planets they could have come to why did they chose us? It still rings in my head the words my mum said that day, the way she looked at me like I was a snack it made me sick. My own mother, a monster, one of them. Now just how could that be?

It had happened four days ago at dinner. I was in the forest behind the old rusty house that I called my home. I let my wobbly legs drop to the hard ground and felt the soft gritty earth underneath me; it felt mushy and smelt rusty but I needed to concentrate. I thought hard but I couldn't shake the feeling that there was someone trying to control me.

“Stop it,” I yelled angrily, “You can’t control me you just can’t.” I sighed and dropped my head to the cold earth.

“Get in here now!” my mother yelled at me. I couldn't help noticing that there was a slight edge in her tone. It was the kind of tone that made me feel very suspicious.

“Coming,” I yelled and I rushed off towards the old ruin of a house. When I entered my mother was trembling like she was hyped up on sugar. Her hands were vibrating so violently that she struggled to plate up the meal.

“Here mum let me do it,” I said reaching over to try and help but she slapped my hand away hard.

“NO!” she snapped glaring at me, “Oh just get away won’t you.” I looked at her with a puzzled look in my eyes; but sauntered of to the dining room anyway. It wasn't really a dining room it was just a four chair table shoved into the old study, but that was the best mum could do.

When my mum had finally plated up dinner she brought it to me and my sister. She was muttering something that sounded like this:

“No please no don’t make me do this I want them to live please.” I had no idea what that meant but I wasn't going to argue with her. Suddenly without warning my mother slammed her jittery fists on the table and screamed her eyes turning red, her veins turning black.

“YOU WILL DIE!” she screamed at me which made me jump back in fear, “COME HERE SO I CAN KILL YOU!”

“What,” I stammered stunned at what she said, “I don’t understand what do you mean, why are you doing this?”

“DIE NOW!” my mum screamed and she picked up the Kitchen knife and razed it to my throat.
