Marriage Contract [ON HOLD]

"You may not kiss the bride"

Keira Bright is a talented girl. She's a fashion designer and a supermodel. Not only talented, professionalism also courses through her veins. However, one day, she had to face financial problems caused by her father, who is addicted to gambling and eventually fled - leaving her behind to pay back his depths. That's when she met Harry Styles, the head owner of the most well-known resort throughout the whole world, World Resort Hotel. Harry instantly fell in love with her from the moment he saw her but problem is, she doesn't feel the same way. "Here, I'll help you out with your financial problems, only if you become my bride." Out of desperation, she had no other option. In the end, all she needed to say was, "I do."

9. We Are Married

"We truly admire your passion, Keira. In fact, you've become quite an icon for the youngsters these days, you've inspired them in a way nobody could," said Kelly, the hostess for the interview. I was moved, it was an incredible feeling to hear such words coming from her. This interview meant a lot to me, it was an opportunity to forward my achievements until eventually, I was on top of the world. However, today I had to dismiss that chance and focus on something that was more important. "I'm sure there's something you'd like to share with us, Keira," Kelly motioned to me and everyone's eyes were fixed to mine.

"As a matter of fact, I do. It's about-"

"Us," Harry rise from his seat amongst the crowd. He was wearing a disguise, which explains why nobody noticed him there. He carefully took off his disguise and revealed himself to the public, which made everyone stared in awe. He lifted his eyes and met mine, slowly he made his way towards me and eventually stood in front of me with his hand reaching for mine. He smiled, a deep dimple digging its way through his cheeks. His warm grey eyes sparkled. I heaved from my seat and took his hand. There, we stood hand in hand facing the audience.

"Oh my, this is a surprise," Kelly lifted her eyebrow. I clutched his fingers in mine, a smile evaporated from my lips, "We've something to say," I turned to look at him, "The truth." He nodded understandingly at my signal. We turned to face the audience once again - my hands were trembling, I've never had to confront such a large crowd, he gripped my hand tighter to reassure me. I wondered how it felt having my skin pressed against his.

"We are married," both of us announced at the exact same time. Now, the crowd was in an even greater shock, including the staffs in Kacey's. Harry lifted my hand to his lips and kissed the back of my palm. That wasn't part of the plan. I intended to scold him but when I stared into his eyes, it made me blushed madly. Why is he so gorgeous?

"There you have it, folks. A shocking confession from both Keira Bright and Harry Styles. Let's give them a huge round of applause," Kelly cheered. Harry seemed accustomed with the excessive attention from the crowd while I was still settling in. I wasn't quite familiar with the attention I've been receiving, sometimes I'm just too nervous but with him by my side, I felt somewhat comfortable. I've always been unsure of this feeling, was I really falling for him? I felt at ease whenever he's around, he was my savior. He has helped me countless of times. Would it be alright even if I did have feelings for him? Would he feel the same way? I wonder if these feelings were also part of the contract. I wonder if it was real or was it the other way around?

As soon as the interview ended, I didn't bother to explain myself to Kacey. I didn't think this was part of her concern, "Keira! Tell me what happened back there," she instructed, I know I should try to make things clearer for her but instead of doing so, I skedaddled along with Harry. She shook her head and sighed but deep inside her heart, she was happy for me. For the first time since my dad abandoned me, I was able to smile again. Not an ordinary smile but the kind of smile I've worn before mom died, before dad left - the kind of smile that shone brighter than the sun, radiating with pure happiness.

"Yes! Everything went according to plan!" I almost jumped with joy. Another problem solved for today, after this, the press will surely get off our backs. They won't be trailing us any longer since we've personally announced ourselves live on TV. "Well, not exactly everything went according to plan," he confessed. I stopped once and recalled the scene when he kissed my hand. "O-Oh, that one. I'd let that slide," I fumbled over my words as I took a step forward, then another awkward step. He seemed relieved with the response. I took a quick glance at him and turned before he noticed. What's going on with me? Was I coming up with a fever or my mind's playing games with me again because somehow he looked exceptionally attractive. I wasn't paying attention to where I was walking to, when suddenly I stumbled upon Hana and Cale.

"Oh, hello," she greeted. That was probably the most unfriendliest tone I've ever heard coming from her, paired together with a fake smile plastered upon her lips. "Hi Keira, it's been awhile. How are you doing?" Cale stepped forward and reached my hand for a shake. He had the same charming smile he used which made me fall head over heels for him. It seems his politeness was still attached, I'm glad it wasn't driven away by Hana.

"I'm doing great," I acted natural. I shifted my gaze to Hana, our eyes met. It was an unpleasant feeling and the radiating cheerfulness I had a few seconds ago dimmed. Who would've thought that this girl used to be my best friend? The girl who used to have lunch with, the girl I've shared my problems with and the girl who I've trusted with my whole life. Even so, I should be thanking her. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't become who I am today. "You must be Keira's husband," Cale interrupted us. He couldn't withstand the intense aura which sparked between us and decided to lighten the mood. Both of us turned to Harry, who was standing right next to me. He was quite confused with what he's seeing, especially the one between me and Hana. I'm sure he was unaware of the intense spark floating in the mid air. Hana surveyed him from top to bottom, "Harry Styles," she tipped her head to the side. "What a surprise," she continued.

"Hana told me everything. Congratulations to both of you," Cale's smile widened. "Thanks," Harry replied. Hana and Cale, it was unusual to see both of them together in public. Hana didn't seemed pleased and she doesn't seem to be in the mood to converse. "Where are my manners, I'm Cale Williams and this here's my wife, Hana Devonne," he introduced himself and Hana. Harry nodded once, "Hana" he repeated her name, "You must be Keira's friend," he gestured to her. She laughed sarcastically, "Yeah, I'm her friend."

I grabbed Harry's hand, which startled him, "Cale, Hana.. I bet you've heard about him. This is Harry Styles, my husband" it was my turn to introduce him. "We've heard," Hana narrowed her eyes. I simply remained quiet, ignoring the conflicting emotions warred within me. "Uh, Harry, I remembered we had other business to take care of," I turned to Harry, my urgent eyes searching for his. I wanted to leave and that was the only polite way to excuse ourselves. Hopefully he got the message. "Y-Yeah, that one," he decided to tag along although he was unsure of what I was talking about.

Cale seemed to understand as he gave a pat on Harry's shoulder, "I get it. Take it slow." What the hell does he meant by that? I shook my head, I didn't meant that. "Wouldn't want to bother these two newlyweds," he winked. "Let's go, Hana," he wrapped his arm around her waist. I narrowed my eyes, refusing to look at any of them as they departed. I almost forgot that I was still holding Harry's hand. I quickly pulled my hand away and continued walking. Harry tried to keep up with me, unsure what was going on. He didn't understand, only because he didn't know.

"Keira, what's going on," he walked along beside me, "Tell me what's wrong." I didn't stop instead I kept walking. It was excruciatingly painful to see them, too painful. "Keira," he grabbed my wrist. I stood frozen, my eyes remained fastened to the ground. "Keira," his voice softened. He pulled me towards him, he held out his hand, tipping my chin upward to meet his eyes. "Tell me," he requested.

"Hana and Cale," I took a shaky breath, trying to steady myself from breaking into tears. "Hana, she used to be my best friend and Cale.." I trailed off. "I used to really like him," I continued, "I even tried to impress him by passing the final exams. I swore that if I did, I'd tell him.. but it was a bit too late."

"What happened?"

"He.. and Hana," I sighed and turned away, "They began dating, a bit sooner than I thought. Honestly, I wasn't surprised but it tore me apart. Then, a few years after that, I've received news that they were married. That one, shattered me into pieces." He studied my face, appraising me from head to toe. "He made a unwise choice by letting you go," he took a step closer. I let a half smile find my lips as I tipped my head to the side, " You think so?" Somehow I felt a lot better to release this restless feeling I've been having for a long time.

"I know so," he grinned. "It would be best to move on and forget the past," he advised. I lifted my eyes to meet his, "Good idea. That would be my new plan." He laughed, "This girl surely is full of surprises," he thought to himself. I reached for his hand, somehow I'm becoming more used to this interaction, he didn't seemed to mind either. "Starting today, we'll be husband and wife," I announced. "Although this isn't real," I reminded him, "Let's just try and make it look real."
