Mind Games

Alex Johns and Derek Morris are two of many who were picked to be a part of what survivors call "The Mind Games". There are a series of rooms, with something planned in each and every one of them. Some can be good, like new weapons, or bad, like vicious monsters. Some rooms trick you into believing something that isn't as it seems. Win, and Survive, Lose, and Die. Your decisions will decide on if you die, or live. How will these complete strangers do in this "Brain Teaser."

3. First Vote Day

*Week Later*

I began to get nervous. Today is the day of the first "Vote Day". I met up with Derek and walked there with him, Brady, and Jaylinn. I sighed and my stomach began to twist. I walked to the stage, where the voting was being held. Once everyone was arranged, a tall lady who looked about 30 something walked out. She wore huge heels, and a strapless dress. I began to play with my hands, and then Derek grabbed one and held it reassuringly. I gave him a quick, nervous smile.

"Hello everyone," the lady announced, "I am Jane Reddick, the designer of this new "game". Today is obviously the first day of the Voting, which means that 6 of you will be chosen today, 4 tomorrow, and 2 the next day. So there will be a total of 12 of you."

A tall man walked on stage by the microphone and announced that his name was Rob.

"Evening everybody. I am Rob Turner. I am one of many trainers for the people chosen to take part in this. Do not fear, this "game" is going to be fun. We have many different courses in this. Including rope climbing over water, mazes, underwater obstacle courses, and more. Okay, time for the voting."

He walked over to a table with a jar on it, full of slips. I swallowed hard and squeezed Derek's hand; I received a squeeze back. Rob walked over to Jane with the huge jar, and she reached in. She slowly opened it and nodded,  walking back over to the microphone.

"And the first person is... Aries Freddrick," she announced, "please come up."

A tall, pale girl slowly walked up. She looked about 14.

"Come right here dear," she announced, "next person."

She slowly pulled out a slip and uttered, "Brady Johns."

I swallowed hard as he bravely walked onto that stage.

All bunch of people from ages 13 to 19 were being called. Me, Derek, and Jaylinn never got picked, but we still have two days left. I looked at Brady.
"If any family of anybody's has been called, please have them here at 6 a.m. tomorrow morning, and say your goodbyes," she pleaded, "See all of you tomorrow."

She walked off of the stage.  Goodbye? Why goodbye? I thought. I looked at him as he walked off of the stage and to us, directly staring him in the eye.

Something isn't right...
