Lily Potter and The Eight Zones of The World

It's Lily Potter's first year at Hogwarts and she's really excited. From what she had heard from her older brothers, James and Albus, and her cousin, Rose, Hogwarts sounded amazing. But then a new Dark Lord comes into power and steal the Wizarding World's protective relic, the Sword of Gryffindor. Will Lily be able to stop the Dark Lord before the Eight Zones of the world fall under his rule?

2. Chapter 1

It was September 1st and Kings Cross Station was busy as usual. The platform filled with muggles. I was walking with my family, struggling to push my trolley. Then my dad took over. As he did so, my two brothers, James and Albus, disappeared through the wall between platforms nine and ten. Both Mum and Dad helped me push my trolley through the wall.

Then we walked over to the train and loaded my bags. Before I jumped onboard, Mum caught me in a hug. “My little girl’s, off to Hogwarts.” She sobbed dabbing at her eyes with a hankie. “ Don’t worry, Mum,” I said with a smile “I’ll be fine. I mean if James and Albus can survive their first year I’m sure I can too.”

“That’s my girl.” Dad grinned broadly then kissing my on the forehead. After saying goodbye to my parents, I found Albus and James who had already found a compartment with our cousins, Rose and Hugo.

“I’m so excited about my first year at Hogwarts.” I said eagerly. “Don’t get too excited,” James muttered “You’ll be wanting to skip class before you know it.”

“James, don’t be mean.” Rose cut in. “Oh, don’t worry,” I giggled “I’m sure I’ll love every single minute of this year.”  Then a girl with elbow length brown hair with blonde streaks came into our compartment. “Hey, James.” she smiled. James blushed as Rose, Albus, Hugo and I giggled.

“Oh, hi, Annie,” said James “of course you know, Albus and Rose. But this is my younger sister, Lily and Rose’s brother, Hugo.” I smiled at Annie, who smiled back. “It’s nice to meet you, Lily, Hugo,” Annie chirped “Anyway, James, Ollie asked me to tell you that he wanted to talk to you.” James got up, told us he’ll be a few minutes then walked off with Annie following behind. Rose, Albus, Hugo and I sat and talked for bit as they waited.

After a long time of waiting it was time to leave the train. I was left alone with Hugo, as Rose and Albus didn’t have to follow Professor Hagrid to the Black Lake. We both climbed into a boat and glided across the Lake. Then Professor Hagrid led us up a flight of stairs where a tall man was standing. “Good evening,” he said “I’m Professor Longbottom. Now before you enter the Great Hall I have a few things to explain.”

Then Professor Longbottom went on to explaining about houses and house point. After that he led us into the Great Hall. It was probably the most amazing thing I had seen in my life. The ceiling was like the night sky, just as Albus and James had told me, with a waxing crescent moon that lit up in the sky.

Once we reached the front of the Hall, Professor Longbottom started to read out names.

“Hartung, Dylan.”

“Weasley, Hugo.”

“Brody, Jeanette.”

“Soyer, Morgan-Leigh.”

Then it was my go. I was really shaky when I went up to the stool at the front of the room. So took a deep breath and sat down. After a little bit of waiting the hat yelled “Gryffindor!” so I ran over to the table where Hugo was sitting. “This is so cool.” Hugo said once the sorting had finished and the food had appeared on the table. “I know right!” I squeaked tucking into a couple of chicken legs.

After a hearty dinner, we were lead to the common room by Gryffindor prefect, Hope Mathison. The common room was warm and welcoming with crimson red sofas and armchairs and a lit fire. Then I went upstairs to meet who I was sharing a room with. When I entered the room I met my roommates, Dana McPhillips, Xylie Berry, Viola Rushe and Beryl Stern.

All four of them had a massive shock when I introduced myself. “Really!” Xylie gasped. Dana and Beryl just stood with their mouths open. “So you’re Harry Potter’s daughter.” Viola said. “Yep, I sure am.” I beamed proudly.  The four of them all asked me what it’s like to have a dad who’s famous. It wasn’t really much different than any normal life that contained magic. Once the grandfather clock in the common room struck nine o’clock, Dana, Beryl, Viola, Xylie and I climbed into our four-poster beds.

I couldn’t sleep. I was too excited about starting lessons. But I knew if I didn’t get any sleep I’d be grumpy in the morning. So I squeezed my eyes shut and eventually dropped off to sleep.
