20. Chapter 20

Niall's POV

In my true, honest, opinion Riley was beautiful. All I ever wanted in girl. But Louis was in love with her, and apparently Riley loved him before the suicide incident. "This is cute don't ya think?" She turned to me holding up a shirt for Lottie's baby. "If you think I'm cute, you should see my uncle." I laughed. "Which uncle?" I raised my eyebrow. "The cute one." She winked and skipped off to Lottie. I smirked, Riley was quite the flirt. I watched her giggle with Lottie. "Hey man!" I jumped. I turned to Louis. "Louis! You scared me!" "I know! What are you staring at?" I panicked and grabbed a random onesie. "T-this." "Kiss me, I'm Irish." He shook his head. "Hey, I'm gonna ask Lottie when we can head to the Food Court." He walked away. I looked at the onesie. I smiled to myself. "The Irish luck lives on." I nod proudly, hanging it back up on the rack. "RILEY!" I turned my head to the voice to find a blonde woman waving her arms wildly in the air. I glanced at Riley, to find her looking at me. "Who's she?" I mouthed. She shrugged as the woman wobbled over to her. I made my way over to them. When I get there I see it. Her stomach is huge. "Riley! We've missed you so much!" Riley raised her eyebrow. "Who is this we?" Suddenly this man probably in his forties, walked over breathing heavily, sweating. "For a pregnant woman, you move fast Chloe." The woman shook her head. "Mark look it's your daughter!" She squealed. I turned to Riley and her eyes were wide. "Oh, hey Riles. Look what I said. I didn't mean it. It'd mean a lot if you still came for the weekends. We want you to be apart of your sister's future." "That's really sweet sir, but I don't know you." She shrugged. "I'm your father. Come on, stop playing foolish. This is no time for games." "Dad, Riley lost a significant amount of memory a few months back. She didn't even remember me." Leah explained. "I-I don't understand." "One day she had her memory, the next she didn't." Lottie shrugged.

"Hey, you know what they say, hare today gone tomorrow!" She joked. I couldn't help but chuckle at the terrible joke. "No?" She frowned looking around the group. "Okay." She gave up. I chuckled. ""I'm gonna have to talk to your mum about this. I gotta go." he walked away, slowly. Chloe waved and left too.  "Aren't they a weird couple." Riley laughed then skipped over to a rack in the far end of the store. I shrugged and followed her.
