1. Chapter 1

It's dark where Riley sits. Her room trying to pay attention to the TV, but her mind wanders. Did they really mean what they said today? No, they're just haters. With that she tried to redirect her attention back to the TV, but her mind decided that wasn't the end of this conversation. Why'd they say if they don't mean it? Cause they haters. Riley began to frustrated as she turned up the volume on her TV. Where would they get those ideas? Like I'm a fat ass? It's true. No. It's not. You have no proof it's true. Actually look in the mirror, do I look fat to you? She didn't know who she posed that question to. Herself of coarse. She turned the volume up again, attempting to drone out the sound of the voices also the sobs of her mother as she worked in her office. Yes, yes you do look fat. She muted the TV. That was a first. The voice in her head never insulted her before. It was always on her side. You're fat and ugly. She unmuted the TV turning it up three notches. But the voice only got louder. As if it was screaming at her. No one likes you! She shut her eyes, turning the TV up another three notches. You're a loser! The voice was getting louder. You're not a loser Riley. The second voice repeated. The first voice only got louder. You slut! You're not a slut. The second voice was getting quieter. Riley turned the volume up louder. It wouldn't budge. It was at it's loudest. "RILEY! TURN IT DOWN!" Her mom screamed over the TV. DROP DEAD! This time the second voice said nothing. The first voice repeated itself only getting louder and louder. She shut the TV off, pacing the room. Tears are streaming down her face as she tugs at her hair. All of sudden it became quiet. In her head and around her. Her mom was no longer sobbing. There was no moving all around her house. It was pin drop silent. She breathed heavily. Beads of sweat trickled down her forehead. She ran her hands over her face, calming herself down. She never experienced that. Sad thing is she can't tell anyone about this. They'll all turn on her. Call her a freak, a loser, a fat ass, tell her to drop dead, no one likes her, no one needs her. She can never tell anyone. Everyone is against her.
