17. Surprise!

I struggled to escape the guy's grasp, squirming and kicking him best I could.

"Lindsay! Lindsay! Calm down!" The voice said, quickly letting go of me and backing up. I pivoted on one foot, arm cocked and fist ready for launch. But I stopped before collision when I locked eyes with my suitor.

"Surprise!" He said, exploding his hands into the air, exposing his underarms and chest muscles. He had a joyful expression plastered on his face, but his eyes still showed he was worried of how I would react.

"Why the hell did you do that! You could have been a rapist or serial killer!"

"And if I were, I assure you I would go after your pretty face first," he said, finally beginning to relax.

I playfully punched him on the arm, feeling he still deserved it. His blonde hair was gelled upwards, exposing more of his face that I'd seen before with his hair down. He had a perfect tan, bulging arms and his volleyball shorts began perfectly at his waist. His happy trail of blonde hair ran up his stomach, and was unnaturally cute... Wow.

"Sorry. I work here on the weekends, and I'm bored almost all the time. I couldn't resist messing with the one girl here that is adorable," he said, obviously flirting with me. But was I flirting back? Pretty much being hypocritical again?

"How ironic, we come to the beach and you work here," I said, "What exactly are you?"

"A lifegaurd. Alan the Lifegaurd, to you,"

"Well, Alan the lifegaurd, nice to know you're here in case I slip and fall, although I have Niall," I spoke, somewhat scornful.

"Yea, so I'll get out of you and invisible Niall's hair. Bye!" Alan gave me a smile and jogged back to his stand on the beach.

This isn't going to help...
