SWAG! YOLO! HASHTAG! TURNUP! I hate those words. Like, hate them with a passion. Hi, I'm Jaiden. I hate my school, and the people at it. ESPECIALLY Treylon Riddle. He's the worst swagfag of them all! I mean, seriously. I can't stand him! Don't give me that look! I don't like him! I hate him! Plus, I like the new boy...

4. Chapter 4

Treylon's p.o.v.

Jaiden gave us a sour look before pushing up her glasses and walking past us, Hailey walking proudly beside her. I guess she was responsible for Jaiden's transformation. Jaiden's hair was pulled into a side ponytail, curled perfectly, and she was wearing a beautiful casual blue dress along with black Converse and her huge nerd glasses. I have to say, I was impressed.

"Hey man...you alright?" Rick asked, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Of course, man," I said, snapping out of my trance, "YOLO, right?" Rick grinned before joining Yolanda, who was making her way over to Jaiden. I followed slowly.

"One step closer and I'm ripping your fuckin' heads off," Jaiden hissed, coming to a sudden halt and spinning around.

"Ohhhh, feisty today, aren't we?" Yolanda teased, taking a few steps closer. Jaiden lashed out, but Hailey caught her.

"It's not worth it," She kept whispering frantically into Jaiden's ear. Jaiden jerked away and turned back around, continuing to walk as if nothing had happened.

"Come back, four eyes! Don't you want to play?" Rick asked with a laugh, catching her by her backpack, causing  her to fall to the ground. They were provoking her. I could see Jaiden's fists clench by her sides as her breathing grew deeper.

"That's no way to treat a beautiful lady, now is it?" A voice asked from behind us. A boy with black hair, covered partially by a hood, and these weird colored eyes was the source of the voice. He walked past us and helped Jaiden up off the floor. I expected her to snap at him or say something rude, but boy, was I wrong.
"Thanks," She said sheepishly, looking at the floor. I don't know why, but at that moment, I felt a strange hatred towards that boy.

"I haven't seen you around here. Are you new?" Yolanda asked flirtatiously, grabbing the boy by the arm. I could hear Rick suck in a sharp breath. Him and Yolanda have this on-off relationship because it's good for their reputation. It ups their Swag factor. They're currently on, but not for long.

"It's cause I just started today," the boy said, seeming mildly annoyed. I saw Jaiden take that opportunity to slip away. Funny thing is, I don't wanna stop her.

"Omg, like, Turn up! I'm Yolanda. I'll show you around if you want," She squeaked, trying to sound sexy.

"Um, no thanks. I'm good. I don't hang around #SwagYolos," he rejected, walking away down the same hallway Jaiden took. I went rigid all over. The only other person that calls us #SwagYolos is Jaiden.

Jaiden's p.o.v.

"Hey wait up," I looked back to see the boy who had helped me earlier. He walked up beside me, his hands stuffed in his jacket pockets.

"Does that happen to you everyday?" He asked, staring at the floor.

"Pretty much. I'm Jaiden, by the way. Make fun of my name and I bash your head in," I stated simply, waving bye to Hailey as she disappeared down the hall to her design class.

"I like your name. It's nice," He said with a smile. I stopped walking, realizing what was going on.

"Did they put you up to this? This is a joke right. Ha-ha, you got me," I said sarcastically.

"What? You mean the #SwagYolos? No, why would you think that?" He asked, disgust clear in his voice.

"Who else? Wait, you call them #SwagYolos too? I thought only I called them that," I asked curiously, fiddling with the strap on my backpack.

"Your not the only one because it makes perfect sense. I'm Cole," He said, holding out his hand for me to shake. I looked hesitantly at his outstretched hand.

"Come on, Jade, I don't bite," He laughed.

"Jade?" I asked as I shook his hand. The boy with the hazel eyes.

"Yep. That's your new nickname," He said with a grin.

"I like it," I said truthfully. I really did. It was a nice name.

"Glad you do. Can you tell me where Theatre Arts is?" He asked, looking down at his schedule. I leaned over and looked at his schedule and, what a surprise, he had all of my classes except 3rd period. He had advanced art and I had track.

"Looks like we're spending the day together," I said in a bad Shakespeare voice.

"Good. I'd really like it if you'd show me around," He said, just as the warning bell rang.

"We've gotta go now, or Mrs. Valentine will have my head!" I squealed, grabbing his hand and pulling him with me as I ran down the hall. I heard him laughing as he ran.

Treylon's p.o.v.

I lay in theatre with my eyes closed, half asleep. Rick, Yolanda, and I only took theatre because we needed the fine arts credit. Of course, I'm the only one of us three in first period.

"Late again, Ms. Carter. What's your excuse this time?" Mrs. Valentine said, with the same tone of affection she always used for her favourite thespians (actors/actresses.)

"Sorry, Mrs. Valentine. I was helping your newest student find his way to class," she said sweetly, sounding out of breath. My eyes popped open, and there stood Jaiden and the new boy hand in hand, panting like they had just run from the other side of the school. The sight made my blood boil. Wait, what.....

"Well, I guess that's as good an excuse as any. You may take your seat, Jaiden," Mrs. Valentine said. Jaiden lingered with the new boy for a minute before releasing his hand and taking her seat right in front of me on the middle row.

"Hello, I'm Mrs. Valentine. Would you mind introducing yourself to the class. Say your name and where you came from. Also tell us if it's your first year in theatre," Mrs. Valentine.

"Uh, sure. I'm Cole, I'm from Ithaca, and it's actually not my first year in theatre. I've been taking it since 6th grade," 'Cole' said awkwardly.

"Ah, another experienced thespian!" Mrs. Valentine said happily, clapping her hands together. The only other person in the class who was in Theatre 4 was Jaiden. Of course, it had to be Jaiden.

"Everyone split into groups of three. Pronto!" Mrs. Valentine said, and everyone got up to pick their group members. I saw Cole begin to walk over to Jaiden, and I don't know why, but I slid in between the two.

"Um, hey Jaiden, you wanna work in a group together?" I asked before I could stop myself. Jaiden looked at me as if I had lost my mind.

"You've got to be kidding me. After all that's happened, you want to work in a group with me?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"Isn't this nice! Two theatre 4 students willing to help out a Theatre 1! I love it. You three are now one group. I hope you like spending time together, because this is going to be a big performance grade," Mrs. Valentine said, popping up beside Cole. I just got put into a group with the school's most gigantic nerd and the new boy. Gggrrrreeeeaaaaatttt....
