This is the first ever piece of poetry I have written, so excuse the rubbish-ness of it. I hope you like it, just as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

1. Shiver.

Press your lips against my neck,

because every time, I shiver.

Your mouth marks the trace of your love,

imprinted on my throat.

I'm suffocating.

I'm drowning.

Your breath chokes my life right out of me;

You're stealing my soul.

The flames of desire creeping up the kindle that sets our love alight,

will never be extinguished by the clear blue waters.

Neither will they be smothered by the wind,

rasping and fierce in the smoky atmosphere.

They can do nothing.

The dew on your back glitters with brilliance in the gloom.

The world may be dark, though our love would light the duskiest place.

All we do is shiver.

For that is all we can do,

for now.
