the story of my life //PERMANENT HIATUS//

"Just stop pretending already."
"That you care, that you even like me the slightest bit. You don't have to protect me from them I'm fine. This. Is. Nothing."
Shut everyone out. That is the best way to keep away pain, right? Or did it just bring more?

5. Chapter Four - Change (pt. 1)

- Niall -

“She's gone. She's not coming back, ever. What do I do?"

Tears roll down my cheeks as I hold the small note set in the floor of my empty room. She left. My love, she ran from me. She left one picture. I look at it again and again and more tears fall. In my hand I hold a picture of my daughter. The daughter I never knew I had. She kept it from me. For the 4 years we were together, she kept her from me. On the back of the picture is a small note. “Her name is Roxi. To tell you the truth, she really loves you. Well, your band. She doesn't know who you are. But I've told her you are the best guy ever. I'm just not good for you, Ni. Move on please." There were a few ink bleeds throughout both notes. It was from tearstains.

“If she fucking loved me, she would of tried to change. Hell knows I would. And it's one thing to leave, but to keep my own fucking daughter from me is sick!" I yell and kick the wall.

I get a call from Liam. I grab my phone. “Look, Liam I don't want to -" “Management." He breaths.“o-okay" I stutter, trying to stop sobbing. “Niall, what's wrong?" “W- what? Nothings wrong."

After our conversation I grab some new clothes, without tear stains, and I wash my face. I comb through my hair quickly and walk outside and to my car.

* at Modest! *

“Simon will see you now," the lady in the front desk says. We walk to his office. “Ah, boys. Please sit. We have something very important to discuss," Simon says, gesturing to the seats.

We all settle in as he speaks again. “Well, boys, as you may know, you are portrayed as very immature by the media. Now, I know there is nothing wrong with that, but mums don't want their daughters adoring childish 20-22 year olds."

“So, what should we do? Give up everything fun?" Louis asks.

“No, not at all. I was more thinking something along the lines of children..."

“So, you want us to get girls pregnant?" Liam asks.

“Heavens, no. You boys need to adopt a child."

I sit there, gobsmacked. (I love using that word. =p -Amy)

“N- No. No kids. Please," I beg.

“Why not, Niall, I thought you loved kids?" Liam looks at me with a we need to talk face.

I shrug. “I'm 21, I don't want one of my own at the moment." I lie.

“Like it or not, you are adopting a child. I want you to choose from Ann's Orphanage. They have lovely children. Very well put together. I expect an adoption by next month. That will be all, you may leave," Simon says and looks at us. He hands Liam a card. I caught a glimpse and saw an address and Ann's Orphanage on it.

We all leave and Liam pulls me aside. “What the hell is up with you? Something's off," he whispers.

“Allison" I breath. That's all he needed to know.

He looked at me with is chocolate brown eyes and whispers an, “I'm sorry."

I nod and mumble, “Me too." I walk away and we get in Louis's car.
