Chapter 92

Harry’s POV

We had all pretty much already finished our ice cream by now, and were just staying in the parlor to talk for a bit longer. About halfway into a conversation where Liam was telling us about some supposedly cool thing that happened on a video game he had been playing, I remembered I needed to check the time. A sudden shock of panic was sent through me considering I forgot that I needed to be watching the time so I’d know when to leave. I clicked on my phone and looked at the time, and then I quickly got up from my seat when I realized I should’ve left about thirty minutes ago to get there on time.

“What’s wrong?” Zayn was the first to ask after my sudden outburst of getting up from the chair, and once again all eyes were on me.

“Nothing, its just I needed to leave a few minutes is all,” I said.

“What? Why?” Liv said looking up at me, clearly not wanting to leave because she was having a good time talking with us.

“I have a meeting,” I told her.

“I thought we were done with those,” she mumbled quietly as she got up out of her chair.

“This one is different,” I told her as I took her hand and guided her out.

We both said goodbyes to the boys and then opened the door to leave.

“So why do you have to go to a meeting?” Liv asked me.

“They just want to talk to me about everything that’s been going on,” I told her.

“Oh,” she said, “Are you going to get in any trouble?” she asked, mostly referring to the car accident.

“Let’s hope not,” I told her as we continued to walk across the street to my, well currently her car.

Liv unlocked the doors once we approached the car, and we both got in. I was in too much of a hurry to get the car moving that I didn’t bother to open the door for her this time.

“Okay so where are we going?” she asked.

I sighed and typed the address into my phone for her to use as a GPS. These are the times were I wish that I could still drive right now. Knowing Liv, it’s probably going to take us awhile to get there, even with the GPS. She almost always gets lost while driving in an area that’s new to her or one that she hasn’t driven in for a long time.

Liv started to back out of her parking spot and drove down the road. “Wrong way,” I informed her, and she looked at the GPS to confirm that she was in fact already going the wrong way. She let out an annoyed sigh drove the car into one of the nearby parking spots, then back out to turn the other way. Right now I was currently beating myself up in my mind for not remembering to check the time. I was planning on having Liv just drive us back to my house, since it’s closer to the building I needed to go to then her apartment, and then just take a taxi to the building. I wanted to do that for two reasons.

The first one being the situation I’m in right now of Liv being a terrible driver, I should’ve never given her keys to drive on the road and just let her stick with the, much more convenient right now, taxi.

The second reason I wanted to leave earlier is because now Liv is going to have to come into the building with me. And knowing Liv, she is most likely going to want to come up with me to the meeting room, which I don’t know if she understands that that’s a terrible idea, and will probably make things worse.

Thankfully I’m not positive she is going to ask that though, but either way I think it would’ve been better if she just stayed at my house or her apartment instead. There were probably other ways that I could’ve addressed this problem, like have one of the boys drive me, but at that moment I was too panicked about getting there on time that I didn’t ask either of them to drive me. Plus I knew Liv would what to drive me, and the boys would probably protest saying that I needed to let my girlfriend drive me if she wanted to. I knew what they’d really be saying in there heads though is that I’ve screwed up enough shit in her life that I should just let her drive me if she wanted to.

No matter what I would’ve liked to do instead or wish I would’ve done, there’s nothing I can do about it. Instead of complaining in my mind, I really just needed to enjoy the time with Liv I had in the car. Plus she was doing a pretty good job of driving so far, minus the starting the wrong way at the beginning of the drive.

Liv continued to drive down the road, glancing at the GPS every few seconds to make sure she was still going the right way.

“You know you don’t have to keep constantly looking at the GPS,” I told her, “I’ll tell you if you’re going the wrong way,” I added, realizing that it seemed to be stressing her out a bit to make sure she was going the right way.

“Okay,” she said, “I’m just trying to be careful to go the right way so you get to your meeting on time,” she told me.

“I know you are, but don’t stress yourself about it, we aren’t going to be late,” I said to her.

“Okay,” she answered.

After a few more minutes of driving and trying to convince Liv to stop constantly looking at the GPS, we were finally in eye’s view of the building. I went ahead and took my phone down from where I had it set up for her, and closed out of the GPS.

“Just turn down there,” I told her.

She nodded and once she was at the end of the road, she made the left turn and was now in front of the building. I told her just to park anywhere because it didn’t matter how close or far to the entrance we parked because we were a bit earlier than I thought we would be.

Once Liv found a parking spot, she parked the car and then took out the keys once she got the car in the placement she wanted.

“Do you want to go in now or wait a bit?” Liv asked me.

“I think I should probably head inside,” I told her.

“Okay,” she said and began to open the car door.

“You’re going in?” I asked.

“Well I’m not going to stay in the car,” she slightly chuckled.

I just nodded and began to open the door and get out of the car. Once both of us were out of the car, we walked down the sidewalk until we reached the glass doors that led inside the building. Liv walked with be as I headed to the front desk once we were inside. I told the lady at the desk who I was here to see and she told me she’d tell them I was here. I nodded to her at them walked away from the desk and towards the waiting area.

“How about you wait here when I get called up,” I told Liv as I led her to sit down on one of the couches.

“No, I want to go up there with you,” she said and moved my hand off my shoulder and stood up from the couch.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” I told her.

“Well it might not be, but if they tell me to leave, I will,” she said.

“I don’t think it’s a good a idea that they even know that you’re here,” I said to her.

“Why not?” she asked.

“I just think-“

“Harry Styles,” I heard the lady from the desk say, interrupting what I was going to say.

“Yeah?” I answered, and turned around to face the lady at the desk.

“They’re ready for you,” she told me.

“Okay,” I said and turned back to Liv to finish telling her what I was going to say before I went up.

Just as I opened my mouth to speak to Liv, the lady at the desk yet again interrupted me.

“They want you up there immediately,” the lady told me.

I sighed and just turned around and headed to the elevators. I prayed that Liv wouldn’t follow me, but just as I glanced behind me, I saw Liv walked along to the elevators with me. I was hoping the lady would tell Liv she couldn’t go up there or something, but she didn’t. I decided just to live with the fact that she was going up with me. I went ahead and grabbed her hand as we walked. I held it a bit tighter than usual because I was nervous as hell to get in that elevator and go up to the offices of my management.
