Chapter 88

Liv’s POV

After bugging Harry about not putting on his ointment and taking his medication, I continued to drive. I wasn’t sure if I remembered exactly what street the restaurant  was on, but I was sure I could find it. These are the moments that I wish Harry would be driving right now. He knows his way around the London streets a lot better than I do. I could’ve just told him the name of the ice cream place across the street from the restaurant and he would know exactly where to go. That’s why I don’t understand why the boys make fun of Harry for supposedly being a bad driver when he’s really not, I guess they just do it to mess with him.

As always I was tempted to ask Harry the street the ice cream place was on because then I would know exactly where the restaurant was, but I decided against it. I knew he would tease me about never being able to remember directions. Especially now more then ever since I got on to him about his medication, he would see this as the perfect time to bother me just I as bothered him.

I finally arrived at the outdoor area the restaurant was at. The area was divided into rows of streets with different stores and places to eat. I picked a street at random, because I saw a pizza place at the front of it, and drove down.

As I drove down it, not spotting what I was looking for, I almost decided to just turn of this road and go to the next one. Thankfully though just as I was thinking about turning, I spotted the familiar dark wood paneling and gold cursive writing on the front of a small building, with a small ice cream parlor across the street. I mentally gave myself a pat on the back for remembering and successfully making it to where I needed to go without asking for help. I proudly drove down the road and found a parking spot to park Harry’s car. Once I found a place to park, I stopped the car and took out the keys.

“We’re here,” I informed Harry, who might I add was about to fall asleep.

“Okay,” Harry mumbled, and sat up in his seat.

I waited until he was up and had his seat belt unbuckled before I got out of the car. Once he had his hand on the door to open it, I did the same and got out of the car. After I was out, I walked up to the sidewalk and locked the car once Harry shut his door.

“It’s just right down there,” I told him as I pointed down the sidewalk.

“I know,” he said as he ran a hand through his hair.

“What?” I asked confused considering I never even told him the name of the restaurant. “I was there that one time you were with Liam,” he reminded me.

“Oh yeah,” I said.

“Lets go,” he said and grabbed my hand as he began to walk down the sidewalk.

We walked past the stores that were near the restaurant as we headed down the sidewalk. There weren’t any parking spots closer to the restaurant, so I had to park a few stores down. As we were walking and neared the restaurant, I noticed Harry looking at the cars parked near the restaurant.

“What are you looking at?” I asked him.

“What? Oh nothing,” he said and took his attention away from the cars,

“It’s just those cars look oddly familiar all together,” he told me as he looked at the cars one more time.

“Okay…” I said, a bit confused by his fascination with that group of cars.

He finally let it go and stopped looking at the cars as we approached the restaurant. Harry let go of my hand momentarily to open the big cherry wood door that led into the restaurant. I thank him as I walked in, and then he walked in behind me and grabbed my hand with his again. Once we were inside, Harry walked up to the podium at the front to get us a table. I began walking up with him, but I stopped once I saw familiar blonde hair sitting down at a table. I turned back around to where I had seen the head of hair, and sure enough there was Niall sitting at a table, and along with him were Zayn, Liam, and Louis sitting around the table with him.

They must have been the owners of the cars that Harry was looking at. It makes since to me now why he was so focused on those cars, it’s not everyday you see for cars parked near each other that look like your friends cars just parked in a public parking lot. I walked over to where Harry was getting us a table and pulled him away from the podium.

“I was trying to get us a table,” Harry said, “Why’d you pull me away?” he asked.

I answered his question by pointing over to the table where his friends were sitting.

“That’s why,” I said once I knew that he saw them.

“Oh,” he said, and he seemed a bit upset that his friends go together without him.

“Why do you think they didn’t invite you?” I felt the need to ask.

“I don’t know, I guess they knew I was with you,” he told me.

“Do you want to go over to them?” I asked him.

“Yeah, if there here might as well sit with them,” Harry said.

“So are they mad at you or something?” I asked him, I was still pretty confused as to why Harry wasn’t invited to their lunch.

“No they aren’t mad at me. They probably didn’t ask me to come because like I said, they knew I was with you, I was texting them earlier today,” he told me.

“Oh okay,” I said. I was a bit surprised that this wasn’t bothering him, because if it were me and my friends got together for lunch without me, I’d be pretty upset, but I guess that’s just me, not Harry.

“Sir,” the lady at the desk said, “Do you still want a table?” she asked.

“No, we are just going to join some friends,” Harry said, and the lady nodded as we walked off towards the table the guys were at.

Harry and I then made our way over to their table. As we got closer, I saw Zayn get Louis’ attention and tried to subtly point out Harry to him, although his attempt to be subtle with his action didn’t work out too well considering I noticed it.

By the time we made it over to their table, they already saw us walking over to them, and all their eyes were on us.
