Chapter 82

Liv’s POV

Harry and I somewhat awkwardly walked down the hall to his room. Once we approached the room, Harry opened the door and we walked inside. I looked around at his room as we stepped in, it looked the same as I remember it, just a whole lot messier.

“Your room is a mess,” I told Harry as I moved a few dirty t-shirts that were on his bed to his hamper.

“Yeah, I know,” he said rubbing the back of his neck.

Harry then went to his dresser to get comfortable clothes to sleep in. After a while of going back and forth, Harry finally agreed to change in his bathroom instead of out in the open in his room. while I cleaned up his room the best I could. It was mostly that he just had dirty shirts and pants all over the place.

Just as I put the last shirt into Harry’s hamper, the door opened and Harry walked out dressed in sweat pants, and a thin white t-shirt. I usually can see his tattoos when he wears that shirt, but now they are covered with a bandage.

“I was going to offer you some of my clothes to wear, but then I remembered you were already wearing pajamas,” he told me, and I laughed at his random comment.

I started to get a bit nervous when I noticed Harry walking closer and closer to me. I took a small step back as he came nearer to me. He just smirked at me as he leaned his head down to my ear, “Your in the way of the hamper,” he whispered, then showed me his worn clothes.

“Oh,” I quickly stuttered out and moved away so he could put his clothes in his now full hamper, smirking at me the whole time.

“What did you think I was going to do?” he asked amusingly.

“Put your clothes in the hamper,” I told him.

“Really? That’s all you thought I was going to do?” he asked, once again walking closer to me as my nerves grew back again.

“Yeah,” I said. He took a few more steps towards me, and for once I didn’t feel myself step back.

This seems to be what always happens with us, he’ll walk closer, I’ll back away and pretend I don’t want him, when in reality I do.

“Now moving away I see,” he smirked once he was only inches away from me, just as he was in the pharmacy.

He waited for a few more seconds, wanting to be sure that this was actually happening, that I was falling into his tempting me. After those few seconds passed, he took no moments hesitation to put his lips onto mine. As the kiss deepened, he put his hands onto my hips, and lifted me onto his waist.

By the time our lips unconnected, a few minutes had passed, and we were now on his bed.

“What are you doing?” Harry asked me.

“Putting up a barrier,” I told him.

“Why?” he asked with a dry laugh.

“I don’t want you to bother me during the night,” I said.

“Well if you’re as tired as you look, you’ll be asleep by the time your head hits your pillow, and then I can move you so called barrier,” he said, obviously proud of his plan.

“You wouldn’t,” I jokingly gasped.

“I would,” he challenged. I reached out to hit him, but I stopped myself, remembering what happened last time.

“Don’t worry about it,” he said once he realized what I was about to do,

“The medicine is working pretty well,” he told me.

“Looks like I didn’t mess it up then,”

“Don’t be so sure, you delayed it, it could’ve been working really well right now,” he said.

“Whatever, I’m going to sleep,” I said, and laid down and pulled the covers over me.

I heard Harry laugh at me, and then he turned off the lamp that was lighting the room, and got under the covers himself.

Just as I knew I was about to fall asleep, I had a question I wanted to ask Harry.

“Hey Harry,” I said, tiredness evident in may voice.

“Yeah?” he answered quickly.

“Did you really mean it?” I asked.

“Mean what? What I said about you ruining the medicines ability to work faster? Because I was just jok-“

“No, not that,” I interrupted.

“Oh, well then I did mean that,” he told me.

“Did you really mean what you said in the pharmacy?” I asked him the question that I had been trying to ask.

“Of course I did, I meant every word,” he assured me, his voice getting a bit more serious.

“Why?” I felt the need to ask.

“Because I love you,” I thought I heard him say. I wasn’t sure if that’s what he said, but I felt it best not to ask as my eyes closed and I drifted off to sleep.

•••

I was woken up the next morning by the sound of a light snoring near me ear. I turned my head, still lying down, and I saw Harry right next to me with the barrier of pillows dismantled. I wondered how long he’d waited last night before he moved the barrier. I contemplated on moving him and getting up, but I decided against it. I wanted to stay here with Harry right now. He had given me a little bit more confidence in that pharmacy aisle in front of those people yesterday, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else than in his arms.
