Chapter 7

Harry’s POV
I was woken up the next morning by my phone ringing. I sat up and yawned, I didn’t get to sleep until late last night because of the concert. It took me over an hour to fall asleep.

I ran a hand threw my hair as I picked up the phone.

“Hello?” I yawned again.

“Hey Harry,” I heard Niall’s cheerful voice through the phone.

“What do you want?” I asked.

“Whoa somebody’s cranky,” he laughed.

“You woke me up!” I pouted.

“Well maybe you should go to sleep earlier,” he said.

“I couldn’t, I went to that ridiculous concert with you last night and didn’t get home until eleven.” I said, and he started laughing.

“Okay you had your laugh now tell me why you called,” I said bringing up out of his laughing state.

“I was wondering if you wanted to get lunch,” he told me.

“Yeah okay, what time?” I asked.

“I’m not sure yet, I’ll just text you when I know,” he said.

I nodded, but then realized he couldn’t see me, “Okay,” I said and we said bye to each other then hung up.

I lay back down on my bed and dozed off for a few minutes before finally waking up completely. I unwillingly got up from my bed and began to get ready.

About an hour or so had passed and I was sitting on the couch watching TV. Niall had just told me to meet him at a café in forty-five minutes because he had some things to do first.

I was getting really bored at was to just go there early, but I decided against it, I would be just as bored there waiting for Niall. I decided I might as well get a quick snack to tame me hunger for a while. I go into the kitchen and grab a banana and a glass of orange juice and go back into the living room.

Once I finished, I left the empty glass on the coffee table and put the banana peel there too, telling myself I’d just pick it up later.

I must have fallen asleep again because I jolted awake when I heard my phone ring. I picked it up to reveal a text from Niall.

‘Where are you?’ Is what he asked, I quickly replied telling him I was at home.

‘I texted you ten minutes ago that I was ready to meet at the café.’

I furrowed my eyebrows at the text and scrolled up to find that he did indeed text me. How did I not hear it but I heard this one? I guess I was knocked out with sleep when he sent the first one.

‘Sorry I fell asleep, I’m on my way.’ I texted him back then locked my phone and got up to slip my shoes on before heading to the door. I walked out to my car and quickly got in and started up the car.

The café was about a ten minutes drive; I hope Niall hadn’t already started eating yet. I finally pulled up and parked my car into the parking lot. I got out and locked my car as I quickly made my way inside. Just as I opened the door and stepped in I heard a girl start squealing.

I looked around until I noticed the girl walking over to me. She wanted me to sign a napkin and take a quick picture with her. I happily agreed, I loved it when I got to sign something for a fan, knowing that I’d made them content.

After I finished and the girl went back to her parents, I noticed Niall sitting at a booth, waving me over to him. I walked over to him and I noticed someone sitting with him. I couldn’t see the face because it was turned away from me, but I immediately knew who it was by seeing the blonde hair. I almost turned around and left but decided against it.

She probably wasn’t going to stay long I told myself, doubting what I just said. I sighed as I walked over and sat next to Niall in the booth, avoiding eye contact with Liv and her tempting grey eyes. Niall called over a waiter to give me a menu. I tried to protest and tell him that I wasn’t going to stay but he wasn’t hearing it. I ended up with the menu; I opened it up and stared at it, not bothering to read all the choices of food.

I should’ve known this was going to happen. Sure Niall was protective of Liv and I did hurt her, but Niall wasn’t concern by that anymore. He always liked us together and I honestly thought he was going to murder me when he found out he had broken up and how it happened. It’s obvious he’s over it now, and I honestly wish he wasn’t. I didn’t want him to still be upset with me, but I didn’t want him to go all matchmaker with us.

“So Harry, what did you think of Liv’s concert last night?” Niall asked, breaking the silence.

“It was okay, I’ve seen better” I mumbled, my eyes focused on the menu.

“You would say that,” Liv scoffed silently and rolled her eyes.

“What’s that’s supposed to mean?” I asked, purposely trying to pick a fight with her.

“It means that you basically hate everything I do because you think I left you,” she shot at me.

“You did leave me,” I shot back at her.

“No I didn’t, a great opportunity opened up for me and I chose it. You’re the one who didn’t want a long distance relationship when it involved me being the one who was going to be away. To you its okay when you’re the one gone, but it’s not okay the other around, is it?”

I opened my mouth to reply but stopped, maybe she was right, I had never thought of it that way. I quickly stopped those thoughts in my mind, what she said isn’t true, it just isn’t.

“That’s not true,” I said, repeating the words I just told myself. “Sure it isn’t,” she sarcastically remarked.

After a moment of silence, Liv started to speak.

“Sorry Niall but I think I’m going to go,” she said and handed him some money she took out from her purse, “Just pay the waitress when she brings my food,”

Niall just nodded and she got up and stomped out.

“This was not supposed to go like that,” Niall mumbled softly to himself.
