Chapter 6

Liv’s POV

I woke up the next morning I was sprawled out across my bed on top of the covers. My laptop had fallen next to me and I looked down to see that I was still in my clothes from yesterday. I didn’t get here until late last night and I probably finished unpacking around midnight, I guess I fell asleep while on my laptop. I sat up a rubbed my eyes before grabbing my phone from the nightstand to check the time. 11:30. I also had two text messages from Niall.

The first one was asking when I wanted to meet up and the other one was asking where I wanted to eat. I unlocked my phone to reply, I told him we could chose where we eat lunch and that I’d be ready in about an hour and a half.

After I replied I set my phone back down on the nightstand and went to the bathroom. I opened up my toiletry bag and took out my toothbrush and toothpaste and began to brush my teeth. Once I finished that I got out my face wash and my hairbrush.

I quickly washed my face, the cool water waking me up. After I brushed my hair I went back to my room to find something to wear. As I was searching through the closet I heard my phone sound. I stopped going through my clothes and went to get my phone. It was Niall telling me the name of a café to meet up at and to call him when I was heading that way. I replied with an ‘okay’ and went back to my closet.

After a few minutes I finally put together an outfit to wear and I got changed. I went back to the bathroom and put on some foundation and blush, followed by some mascara and eyeliner.

After I completely finished getting ready, I texted Niall to tell him I was about to head to the café. I grabbed my purse and keycard walked down the hall to the elevator. I got on and pressed the button to go to the lobby.

Once the doors open to the lobby I walked outside and walked up and down the street trying to get a taxi’s attention. I was relived when I finally got one to stop, only to have someone run up to the door before I could.

“Jerk,” I mumbled as they drove off.

“Olivia!” I heard someone yell.

I turned to see who it I was, I was guessing it was a fan or someone of the sort, but it wasn’t.

“Hey…um Nick right?” I asked.

“Yep that’s me,” he said while nodding.

“Are you trying to catch a taxi?” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said.

“Good luck with that, I would’ve suspected that you’d have a car rented or something like that,” he said.

I just shrugged, and proceeded to catch another taxi, only to result in it already being occupied. I let out an annoyed sigh and ran a hand through my hair.

“You need a ride?” he offered.

“Um…” I thought about it for a second, I just met this guy yesterday.

“Yeah, I guess that’s okay,” I said.

“Okay, my car is parked in the lot,” he told me as he pointed the parking lot next to the apartment building.

I nodded and followed him to the lot. We walked up to the gate and he typed in a code, that opened the gate and we walked in.

We reached his car, which was a dark grey Camaro. He opened the door for me before walking over to the driver’s side of the car.

“So where are you going?” he asked.

“Um hold on, let me see what he said it was called,” I said and I got out my phone from my purse and opened my messages from Niall.

I read him the name of the café and he told me he knew where it was.

“So who are you meeting there?” he asked.

“Oh it’s just my cousin, I haven’t seen him in a long time so we’re just catching up.” I told him.

“That’s nice,” he said.

Most of the car ride after that was silent, he asked me a few questions every now and then, but we didn’t get into a full on conversation. He pulled up into the small parking lot and I saw Niall waiting on the bench outside of the café, his attention focused down on his phone.

“Well thanks for the ride,” I said as he stopped the car.

“No problem, will you need a ride home? I can give you my-“ I cut him off “No it’s fine I’ll have my cousin drive me,”

“Okay,” he said, and I got out of the car.

I walked up to Niall, “Hey,” I said.

“Hey,” he said and smiled.

We started talking as we walked inside, and I felt my stomach growling indicating I was hungry. I realized that I skipped breakfast this morning because I had woken up so late. We followed the waitress to a booth and sat down and looked at the menus. I felt my stomach sound again as I read the menu and all the different food they served.

“Someone’s hungry,” Niall joked and I laughed along with him.

We ordered our drinks and began talking, I was telling him all about my tour and music and he did the same. After we ordered our food, I heard a teenage girl squealing at the entrance. I turned around to see what was going on and my mouth slightly fell open when I saw who was there.

Harry was at the door signing a napkin for the excited teenage girl who quickly got out her phone as well and snapped a quick picture with him. She thanked him then joined her parents who were impatiently waiting for the girl.

I turned back around and gave Niall a glare as he waved him over. Once Harry walked over to the table I looked up at him and he seemed as surprised to see me here, as I was to see him. He hesitantly sat down next to Niall in the booth. A waiter was walking by and Niall stopped him and asked for a menu for Harry who tried to protest saying he wasn’t going to be staying.

Niall ended up winning the quick argument, and Harry slumped in his seat as he opened up the menu.
