What if the person who tired to discourage you came to an event of your dream that is now reality and tried to win you back?

Chapter 59

Liv’s POV

“We are starting our descent into Heathrow, please turn off all portable electronic devices and make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full up and right position,” the flight attendant spoke through the intercom.

I sat up in my seat and pressed the button to make the seat go back up. Then I grabbed the cup on the tray table in front of me, and pushed it up. I held the cup in my hand until one of the flight attendants finally came down the row to pick up everyone’s trash.

A few minutes passed, and we had now landed, and the pilot was driving the plane to the terminal. The flight attendant said something over the intercom real quickly, once the pilot stopped the plane, that sounded like ‘prepare doors,’ but I’m not sure. A few seconds later they told us we could get up and begin getting our stuff. Once she said that everyone immediately got up from their seat. I never understood why people were in such a rush to stand up. I mean most of the people can’t even get their stuff yet because they are in a window or middle seat and they have to wait for whoever is in the aisle row. And the people in the back are going to have to wait awhile until they get off. I get they want to stand up, but they’ve been sitting for ten hours, I think they can handle five more minutes.

I went ahead and stood up anyway, considering it’s a bit awkward to have everyone around standing while you’re sitting. I was closer to the front and in a middle seat, and before I knew it I was up getting my suitcase and then I walked down the aisle and exited the plane.

I yawned as I walked across the airport, I was still so tired. I tried to sleep on the airplane, but it was hard since I was in a middle seat. The people next to me were either taking up the armrests, or had the overhead light on.

Once I walked outside the airport, I realized I didn’t know how I was going to get to the apartment building. If I wanted a taxi I’d have to walk down the block because the taxis don’t come to the airport, they just drop off. Buses and shuttles were the only transportation at this airport. The shuttles only go to hotels in the area so I suppose I could just take a bus and have it drop me off at a nearby bus stop. I should probably see if Niall would come pick me up before I result to taking a bus.

I got out my phone and pressed on Niall’s contact name, and brought the phone up to my ear. He soon picked up on the last ring.

“Hey Niall,” I said once I realized he had picked up.

“Hey Liv,” he said quickly.

“Can you come pick me up from the airport?” I asked him.

“Um, as much as I’d like to, I can’t,” he said rushed.

I furrowed my eyebrows, “Why not?” I asked him.

“I just can’t, I’m pretty busy right now,” he said, and I heard a voice in the background.

“Oh, um, okay,” I said, deciding not to ask him who was there with him.

“Sorry Li-“ he began, but I hung up.

Guess I’d be taking the bus back to my apartment. I walked over to the list of the buses, and found the one that would stop near my apartment building. Then one I needed was going to come towards the end of the lot, so I walked down the sidewalk in front of the airport until I was where I needed to be. I sat down on one of the benches along with two other people as we waited for the bus.

A few minutes or so passed, and I finally saw the bus driving up. Me and the other two people got up and got onto the bus. The bus was completely empty when I got on, except for the other two people that I was getting on the bus with.

Once the bus had starting driving, it had made a few stops before it finally arrived at the stop I wanted. The two people who had gotten on the bus with me at the airport had already gotten off, and were replaced by one person who got on at one of the stops. The bus had fully stopped at the bus stop, and I picked up my suitcase and purse and got off the bus. I looked around at where I was, and I would just have to walk down the street and I’d be at my apartment building. I began to wonder if the coffee shop would be open. I knew I should probably put my bags in my apartment, and then I could worry about getting food, but thinking about it, I was much hungrier than I thought.

I walked across the street and went into the small shop, pulling my suitcase behind me. Once I was inside, I got a few weird looks from the few people inside, but I didn’t care. I walked up to the counter, and ordered a muffin and apple cider. I didn’t need the caffeine from the coffee, and the hot chocolate reminded me too much of Harry.

The guy behind the counter gave me my muffin in a bag and told me my drink would be ready soon as I paid him. I walked over to the other counter where the drinks were put when they were ready, and waited for my apple cider. I set my purse on my suitcase and opened up my bag with the muffin in it, and began to break off pieces of it to eat.

They soon called my name and placed my cup up on the counter, and I grabbed it and took off. I walked back across the street, and made my way inside my apartment building. It seems like its been forever since I’ve walked across the lobby and rode up the elevator, even though its only been a couple of days.

Once I had gotten into an elevator, I pressed the button of my floor and waited until the elevator reached my floor. When it did, I grabbed my suitcase, and down the hall.

As I was walking, I was digging in my purse trying to find my keycard. Once I found it, I looked up and saw someone sitting on the ground in front of my apartment door. He had his knees up, and he was looking at his hands while he seemed to be mumbling things to himself, completely unaware of my presence.

I took a step closer, it was weird seeing him, I’m not sure why but it was.

“Harry?” I soon heard myself say, and his head quickly popped up.
