Still Mine

What if someone said something to you, trying to discourage you from following your dreams. Would you give up on that dream? Or would you follow that dream and prove them wrong. What if the person who tired to discourage you came to an event of your dream that is now reality and tried to win you back?

My name is Olivia Wilson, and I know what I'd do.

Chapter 55

Harry’s POV

I had just left the café where I was eating lunch with Niall. Liv was there, but she left because we got in an argument, and she was mad at Niall for bringing me because she hasn’t seen him for a few years. To be honest, I was pretty relieved when Louis texted me saying he needed to see me, because I was not really enjoying my lunch with Niall. All he would talk about was Liv.

Liv Liv Liv. I’m so sick of that name, its all over the radio and tabloids ever since she started her tour.

To make matters worse, Niall kept going on about how Liv and I should get back together, and claiming that I still like her when I obviously don’t. The only way to get him to shut up was to act like I’d consider being with her again, even though the thought really just left my mind.

I wasn’t sure what Louis needed, he just said he needed to talk to me and to meet him at the building where we have meetings. I walked out into the parking lot and got into my car and drove off.

A few minutes or so passed, and I soon arrived at the building, and I parked my car and got out. Once I locked my car, I got out and walked through the sliding glass doors to the inside of the building. When I walked towards the front desk, I noticed Louis and one of the assistant managers waiting there.

“Hello Harry,” the assistant said.

“Hey,” I said back.

The three of us headed over the elevators and got into an open one.

“So why am I here?” I silently asked Louis.

“You’ll see,” he said and let out an annoyed sigh.

I leaned against the wall of the elevator as it went up to the floor. The ride up was completely silent, and I desperately wanted someone to start talking or something, there wasn’t even that annoying but catchy elevator music, it was just silent.

We soon arrived at the desired floor, and we got off the elevator. I still wasn’t sure what was going on, but I just continued to follow them until we got to the usual room we have meetings in. Once we walked in, I noticed two other guys sitting at the table.

“So can someone tell me what this is about?” I finally asked.

“It’s about Olivia,”

I rolled my eyes; here we go again, more about Liv.

“What about her?” I sighed as I sat down at the table, and picked up the glass of water that was in front of each of us.

“We need you to date her,” he said just as I had brought my cup up to my lips.

I had spit the water back in the cup, receiving weird looks from everyone, but I didn’t care, only one thing on was going through my mind right now.

“What?” I asked, making sure I heard him right.

“You guys are going to start your next tour in a few months, and we need more publicity so more people will buy tickets,” the assistant said.

“What does that have to do with me and Liv?” I asked.

“Well since Olivia is so popular now, and so many people liked you both dating before, we think that if you both get back together, you’ll draw in more of Olivia’s fans to you guys. Her fans will stop think you broke her heart, and they’ll probably start becoming fans of the band again,” he explained.

“So why is Louis here?” I asked.

“Well we first pitched the idea to him, because he was here, and we both have different ideas of how this should work,” the assistant said.

“I don’t even want to peruse this idea, so I sure as hell don’t care how you think this should work,” I said.

“Harry, you need to do this,”

“I don’t want to do this,”

“I don’t want him to do it either,” Louis said, finally saying something after being silent this whole time.

“Then why do you have an idea of how this should go?” I asked.

“Because they are going to make you date her, so I might as well have come up with an idea to make it easier for everyone,” Louis said.

“Nobody can make me do anything, I’m not going to date her,” I protested, now talking to everyone in the room.

After what seemed like forever of all of us arguing, and them trying to persuade me to agree to their idea, I finally gave in just to shut them up.

“It took you long enough,” the assistant said once I agreed.

“How long do I have to do this?” I asked.

“We’re not sure yet,” he said and I sighed and lean back in my chair.

“So what are your and Louis’ ideas?”

“Well it doesn’t matter because we are going to use my idea,” he began, but stopped once Louis gave him an angry look. “But we’ll let you hear both anyway,” he finished.

“We think that you shouldn’t tell Olivia about this whole thing because it will seem more real if Olivia is really into the relationship,” he said, obviously proud with his idea that I think he didn’t even come up with.

Louis cleared his throat, “I think you should tell her because if you don’t she’s going to end up getting hurt in the process,”

“She won’t get hurt if she doesn’t find out,” the assistant argued.

“There is no guarantee she won’t find out, you guys will be calling Harry in all the time to discuss this whole scam, don’t you think she’ll get suspicious of him being called in all the time,” Louis said.

“That’s ridiculous,”

While they were arguing, I thought about this whole situation. I think this might be better if Liv didn’t know; it would make everything more believable. And I’m not saying I want to hurt Liv, but since she left me, I wouldn’t mind upsetting her some, its not like it will scar her or whatever. Plus who says she’ll even want to get back together with me.

“So what do you want to do?” they asked me.

“I think I’ll go with the first idea, this way there is a way that this will work, because if we asked her to do this she’ll say no, and none of this will happen,” I instantly regretted what I said, I should have went with Louis’ idea.

She would’ve said no and then I’d be out of all this.

“That’s my boy,” the assistant said and patted my back. Louis was giving me a stern glare, and I tried to avoid eye contact with him, but I still felt his glare on me.

“Could you give us a minute?” Louis asked.

“Sure, but you better not talk him out of it,” the assistant said as him and the other guys in the room got up and left.

Louis looked towards the door to make sure they were gone before speaking, “Are you out of your mind?”

“Excuse me?” I asked.

“Why did you agree to do this?” he asked.

“Well it’s not like I really had a choice,” I said. We went back and forth for a while until we finally decided just to stop and tell the management guys they could come back in.

“Okay so we just need to go over a few things, and then you both can go,” the assistant explained as he sat back down at the table.

The other guys didn’t come back in, so I’m guessing they left, which doesn’t make a big difference because they weren’t really talking, its just less presence of people.

“Okay,” the assistant began, “Harry, you need to persuade Olivia to fall for you again. Be nice to her, charm her; I don’t care, just do it. Louis you just have to keep an eye on them, we don’t need Harry developing feelings for her, because we will want them to break up at some point. And lastly, if either of you tell anyone, especially Olivia, about this you will be in a big amount of trouble,”

“What will happen if we tell her?” Louis asked.

“Just don’t tell her and you’ll have nothing to worry about,”

 End of Flashback

I did my best to sum up everything that happened that day to Niall.

“So what happened after that?” Niall asked.

“You had invited me to go bowling with you and Liv, and I had to be nice and everything to her, and acted like I wanted to spend time with you and Liv,” I explained.

“Oh,” Niall said.

“Well I should probably get going, I need to figure out what I’m going to do when Liv gets back,” I said and got up from the table.

“Good luck,” Niall smiled and I smiled back as I left the restaurant we were at and headed out to my car.
