Still Mine

What if someone said something to you, trying to discourage you from following your dreams. Would you give up on that dream? Or would you follow that dream and prove them wrong. What if the person who tired to discourage you came to an event of your dream that is now reality and tried to win you back?

My name is Olivia Wilson, and I know what I'd do.

Chapter 46

Liv’s POV

I looked around my room one more time, and I was pretty sure I had everything packed. Well except for my toiletries, which I would pack before I left my apartment tomorrow after I used them in the morning. Once I finished, I sat down on my bed and scrolled though my phone, Harry was at a meeting again so I had nothing better to do. I really wish Harry didn’t have so many meetings lately, I’m leaving for California tomorrow and we’ve hardly got to spend anytime together before I leave because he’s always in meetings.

I was beginning to feel suspicious of these meetings, if they even were meetings. Being the worrier I am, I had stayed up almost all night last night creating ideas of what he was really doing, which ended up only scaring me some. He’s not the kind of person to have a wandering eye, especially when he was dating someone. I’d have to ask Niall how many meetings he has had to go to, they are about to go on their next tour so maybe their management has a lot to tell them. I just think they’d all get called in for a meeting all at once, not separately. Harry does call me when he’s at meetings, so if he were with someone he probably wouldn’t call right?

I sighed once Harry’s contact name lit up on my phone, signaling he was calling me.

“Hello?” I said once I hit the answer button.

“Hey Liv,” Harry said. “How’s the meeting?” I asked him, considering if he was in a meeting he probably shouldn’t be calling.

“It’s going good, we’re taking a quick break so I decided to call you. What are you up to?”

“I just finished up packing,” I told him.

“Well if you’re bored the boys are all hanging out at Louis’ house if you want to go over there and I’ll come by to pick you up when I’m finished here,” he suggested.

“Okay, I’ll go ahead and go over there,” I told him.

“Good, because Louis’ house is closer to the building I’m in so that way I can see you sooner,” he said and I could hear a smile in his voice, and my worries went away for a few seconds.

“So I’ll just text you his address and then I’ll call him and tell him you’re coming,” he told me. “Okay,” I said.

We exchanged goodbyes and then hung up.

I sat up and slipped my phone in my pocket. I quickly changed out of my oversized shirt and got a more fitted shirt and a jacket out of my closet. I brushed my fingers through my hair and quickly looked in the mirror before I grabbed my purse and headed out of my bedroom. I grabbed my keycard, and then walked out into the hallway. I made my way to the elevator and pressed the button, and to my luck to elevator opened right away. I stepped into the elevator and pressed the button marked for the lobby and waited for the ground to start going down.

The elevator soon made it down to the lobby and I got off and walked across the lobby and to the exit. Once I stepped outside, I was relieved to find that there wasn’t as much wind today. I adjusted my purse further up on my shoulder and began to try to catch a taxi. To my luck, I quickly caught a taxi and I hopped inside. I took out my phone to tell the driver the address that Harry sent me, and he drove off.

I looked at all the passing buildings and cars and occasional small parks that I saw as I stared out the window.

Of course it took awhile to get there, because Louis’ house is on the other side of town near Harry’s.

Once the driver arrived, I paid with my debit card and got out of the taxi. I walked up the driveway as the taxi driver took off, and I saw the other boys cars parked in the driveway and at the side of the road. I quickly skipped up the steps and rang the doorbell and waited for some one to answer the door. A few seconds passed, and the door was soon opened.

“Hey Liv,” Louis greeted and opened the door so I could step in.

“Hey Louis,” I said back once I was inside.

“We’re pretty much just sitting and talking in the living room, we just ordered a pizza a few minutes ago so it should be here soon,” Louis explained as he walked down the all to the living room.

“Okay,” I said and we stepped into the living room.

“Hey Liv,” everyone said and looked up once they say me.

“Hey guys,” I said and took a seat on the couch next to Niall.

The five of us had been sitting on the couch talking pretty much since the minute I got here.

“That pizza was so good,” Niall said and sat up to throw his crust in the empty pizza box.

“I still don’t get how you don’t like the crust,” I said as Niall leaned back in the couch again.

“Well I would’ve eaten the crust if Zayn would have let us order the cheese stuffed crust,” Niall said and shot Zayn a joking glare.

“Sorry man, I am not a fan of cheese stuffed into pizza crust,” Zayn laughed and Niall rolled his eyes.

“So Liv,” Liam began,

“Yeah?” I looked over at him.

“How’s your and Harry’s relationship going?” he asked.

“Pretty good,” I said.

“Really? You don’t sound so sure,” Liam said.

“Well there is one thing that has been bothering me,” I began.

“What is it?” Niall asked.

“Well first of all, how many meetings of you guys had to do in the past week?” I asked.

“Um, I don’t know, a few,” Louis hesitated.

“What are you talking about Louis? We’ve just been called in for one group meeting,” Niall said.

“Harry said he’s been called in for meetings just him by himself, he’s at one right now,” I told them.

“So what are you saying?” Liam asked.

“Well I’m kind of thinking he is with someone else instead of, you know, at a meeting,” I explained.

“So you think he’s cheating on you,” Zayn stated and I cringed, I hated when people flat out said ‘cheating’ its just such a morbid word and there are better ways to say it.

“I know it seems a bit stupid to think that since we just got back together not to long ago, but I can’t help but think that he is or at least something close,” I said and I looked over at Niall, and worry was evident on his face.

“He’s not cheating on you,” Louis said, looking down at his hands and Liam and Zayn shot him looks that I couldn’t make out. “How do you know?” I asked him.

“I um, I just do,” he said.

“Well can you tell me how you know so I can believe that he isn’t…cheating,” I said to him.

“Well um, when our management found out about you coming to London, and that Niall had contact with you, he called Harry in and told him that he had to try to get you to get back together with him. They wanted to get Harry more in the tabloids again, so they thought that this would give him more publicity for our upcoming tour. They’ve been calling him in for more meetings lately because they are trying to figure out more ways to get both more in the news. I could say more, but that pretty much sums it up.” he finished.

“What?” was all I could manage to say, but no one else said anything.

“Did you know about this?” I asked Niall and turned to look at him.

“No,” he said, and he began to clench his fists.

“Did the rest of you know?” I said and turned to look at Liam and Zayn, and they both nodded.

“Louis was the first to find out, Zayn and I found out a couple of weeks ago.” Liam said, and my heart sunk.

I was utterly heartbroken, I felt destroyed. This was all just for publicity, him and his management had everything planned out to get me to fall for Harry again. I should have been suspicious from the day at the park, telling me to let the paparazzi take pictures, telling me that all publicity is good publicity.

I wasn’t sure what I was feeling right now. I just wanted to scream and beat the shit out of Harry, but I also wanted to curl up in my bed and cry. I finally grabbed my purse and got up from my seat and stormed out of the house.
