Still Mine

What if someone said something to you, trying to discourage you from following your dreams. Would you give up on that dream? Or would you follow that dream and prove them wrong. What if the person who tired to discourage you came to an event of your dream that is now reality and tried to win you back?

My name is Olivia Wilson, and I know what I'd do.

Chapter 45

Liv’s POV

It was the next day, and I was walking down the hall back to my apartment. Harry was with the boys recording at the studio, and I had just finished eating lunch. Once I got into my apartment and headed to my room. I threw my purse on my bed and I sighed as I looked around my room. I probably should go ahead and start packing for my trip to visit my parents. As much as I was dreading packing, I knew I should do it now while I have some free time or else I’d probably wait until the last minute like the procrastinator I am.

I took out my suitcase and set it on my bed and opened it up. I went into my closet and began to find some clothes to bring. Most of the clothes that I brought to London with me were winter clothes, which were no help to me right now because I knew it was pretty warm right now in California. I did have some clothes that work in warm and cold weather, and I also had some clothes that I bought when I was online shopping with Harry that arrived a few days ago.

I put some clothes in my suitcase, along with a few pairs of shoes. I really didn’t need to pack too much because I was only going to be visiting for a few days.

As I was packing, I heard my phone ringing on my bedside table, an excuse for me to stop packing. I stepped over to my phone and smiled once I saw the contact name.

“Hey Harry,” I said once I answered the call.

“Hey Liv,” he said back.

“How’s recording going?” I asked.

“Pretty good, I think we’re about done so I’ll come to your apartment once we are,” he told me.

“Okay,” I said. Harry and I talked for a bit longer, he said he was done recording but he had to wait for Louis to finish.

“Hey Liv,” I heard Niall and Liam say in the background, and I laughed, “Hey guys,” I said, I wasn’t sure if they heard me, but Harry told him I said hey back.

I was walking around my apartment as I was talking to Harry, looking for anything that I might want to pack. Harry was going on about their new album, I probably should be listening more to him, but he talks about the new album a lot so I just didn’t feel the need to.

As I walked past my kitchen, I noticed a small blue box on the counter. Confused, I walked over to the kitchen and picked up the box. My mouth dropped open slightly when I saw the Louis Vuitton logo on the top. I rested my phone between my ear and shoulder and opened up the box.

I was frozen in my place once I saw what was inside. It was the pink gold Lockit bracelet that I’ve been wanting for so long but never working up the courage to buy one, telling myself that I could use that money for something more useful than a bracelet.

“Harry,” I said, stopping him from his rambling. “Yeah?” he said.

“When were you going to give me my Christmas present?” I asked him.

“You didn’t find it yet?” he asked confused.

“No I did,” I smiled, “I just wanted to make sure it was from you,” I said.

“Well it is,” he said and I could hear the smile in his voice.

“You like it right? Because if you don’t I might be able to return it I-“

“Harry,” I cut him off from his panicked state.

“What?” he asked. “I love the bracelet,” I told him.

“You do?” he asked, the panic leaving his voice.

“Yes, I just have one question,” I said.

“What is it?” he asked.

“How did you get it in my kitchen?” I asked him.

“Oh when you were getting ready in your bathroom before we went ice skating, I went to your kitchen and put the box there,” he explained.

“Okay, one more question,” I said.

“Why didn’t you give it to me on Christmas Eve?” I asked.

“I don’t know, I guess I wanted it to be more special then giving it to you in front of everyone,” he said.

“And having me get it in my kitchen is your definition of special,” I lightly laughed.

“I hadn’t quite thought it through,” he chuckled.

“And I thought this way was unique and like a mystery,” he added.

“Well I still love it,” I said.

“Good,” he said, “I thought you would have found it earlier though,” he said.

“Well I don’t have any food in my kitchen yet, so I haven’t really ever gone in there,” I told him.

“What made you go to your kitchen then?” he asked.

“Well I was packing for California and I was just looking around my apartment for anything I might want to bring,” I told him.

“Oh you bought your ticket?” he asked.

“Yep,” I said.

“How many days are you going to be gone?” he asked me.

“Around three days, I’m not staying long because my parents have to drive to Anaheim after New Year’s, something about my mom’s work,” I told him.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do with those three days of my life,” he said.

“I’m sure you’ll find something to do,” I told him.

“I don’t know, but I hope you like phone calls really late at night or early in the morning, because with the time difference, those might be the times I’ll be calling you,” he chuckled.

“We’ll figure something out,” I smiled. “Okay,” he said.

“Do your parents know we got back together?” Harry asked me.

“I don’t think they did, they haven’t said anything to me. I’m a bit nervous to tell them thought because after the breakup, my dad was plotting your death,” I said and Harry laughed.

“You’d think they figure out from the tabloids,” he said.

“I was hoping they would, but I guess they haven’t. I’ll just tell them when I get to California,” I told him.

“Maybe saying it to them over the phone would be easier,” he joked.

“Probably if I was just talking to my mom and just have her tell my dad,” I told him.

“Yeah,” Harry said, and I heard talking in the background.

“Yes Niall she got the gift,” I heard Harry say.

“He was really excited about you getting the gift,” Harry explained to me. “I bet he was,” I said.

Niall knew how much I’ve wanted that bracelet, he kept telling me that he would just buy it for me when I first wanted it, but I wouldn’t let him.

“Okay we’ll I’ve got to go, some people need to talk to us, but I’ll call you when I’m heading to your apartment,” Harry said.

“Okay bye,” he said bye back and we both hung up.
