What if the person who tired to discourage you came to an event of your dream that is now reality and tried to win you back?

Chapter 35

Liv’s POV

As Harry drove off, I waved at him as his car drove out of sight. I happily walked back inside the building, a smile never leaving my face. I was really happy things were now working out between Harry and I. I skipped into the elevator and pressed the button for my floor. I leaned against the wall of the elevator, still smiling as I thought about Harry. I was in such a daze that I didn’t realize when the elevator had stopped at a floor on the way to mine. I was brought out of my daze by someone clearing their throat.

“Hello Olivia,” I heard a familiar voice say. I looked up to see the preteen girl who was in the elevator with Harry and I last week.

“Hey,” I said not really acknowledging her presence.

She was not threat to me, so why should I give her the attention she so desperately craved.

“I heard you and Harry have been getting close,” she crossed her arms.

“You’d be correct,” I answered, standing up a bit straighter.

“Some people aren’t happy about that,”

“I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but you don’t scare me, you’re 12,” I told her.

“I’m 13,” she snapped.

“Big difference,”

“There is a difference, I am officially a teenager.” she said back.

“Okay,” I said, just hoping this conversation would end.

Thankfully she stopped talking, and the elevator finally arrived at my floor. I got off, relieved that she didn’t follow me, because I was worried she would. The last thing I needed was a teenage girl, who hated me, following me. I got my keycard out of my pocket and slid it in the door and opened it. I walked in and set the keycard on the table and sat down on the couch.

I stared at the TV screen, which was paused at where Harry and I left off watching the movie before he had to go. I had only been sitting on the couch for a few minutes, and I was already bored and missing Harry. It’s amazing how much affect he already had over me. When we were together a couple of years ago, he is what consumed my thoughts day and night. We just got back together, and it’s already feeling like old times.

I decided just to get on my computer, not wanting to continue the movie without Harry here. I grabbed my laptop that I had on the coffee table and opened it up. I decided to scroll through some of the news stories to see what was going on in the world.

I skipped the ones that had to do with Harry and I. I knew what they were all going to say, and some of them would be rumors that would just anger me.

Looking through the news only consumed about twenty minutes of my time, so I just watched some videos on YouTube.

Harry still hasn’t called me saying he was done, and I was driving myself crazy trying to find things to entertain me. I didn’t want to leave the apartment, because I knew the second I did, Harry would be calling saying he’s coming back over, and its just to much of a struggle having to keep catching taxis. It was times like these that I wish I had a car here. Even though there was really no point in getting one considering I’m always with Harry, and riding in his car.

I was now just sitting on the couch, listening to music. It has been almost three and a half hours since he left. I guess it does take a while to write a song, but I wish he would text me at least once.

As it got later, I eventually gave up and decided to get ready for bed. I walked to my room and turned the water on, deciding to take a quick shower.

After I finished my shower, I changed into some sweatpants and t-shirt and went back to the living room. I wasn’t very tired yet, so I decided to stay up for a bit longer. Just as I was about to sit down, I heard a knock at my door. I got up to answer, and I was pretty sure I knew who it was. I opened the door, and sure enough Harry was there with a half smile on his face.

“Hey,” he said,

“Hey,” I said back, letting him inside.

I wasn’t sure if I was upset with him or not. I mean he never gave a time when he’d be back, and songwriting does usually take a while, I just wish he would’ve texted me.

“Sorry I didn’t call,” he said almost reading my thoughts.

“Its okay,”

“And sorry I couldn’t take you to dinner tonight,” he told me.

“That’s fine, you never even told me you were going to,” I answered.

“I didn’t?” he asked. “Nope, you just said we would finish the movie when you got back,”

“Oh, I guess I just told Liam and Louis I wanted to take you to dinner,” he told me.

“Well how about you take me for breakfast tomorrow,” I said.

“Sounds good,” he smiled and we walked into the living room.

“So how’d the songwriting go?” I asked as we sat on the couch.

“Pretty good actually. We finished most of the song we wanted to finish.”

“Well that’s good,”

“Yep,” he said.

“Shall we start the movie?” he asked, grabbing the remote.

“We shall,” I smiled as he pressed play and wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

The movie was almost over, and I understood it more than I was earlier today. As the movie was nearing the ending, I felt myself beginning to doze off. I leaned my head against Harry’s chest and my eyes began to close.

“Liv,” I heard Harry whisper and tap my arm.

I answered by opening my eyes; I was too tired to say anything.

“You want to go to sleep?” he asked and I nodded.

“Okay, lets go,” he said and helped me up and we walked to my room.

He opened the door and laid me down on the bed, and he walked over to the other side, getting in next to me. A few minutes passed, and I guess Harry thought I was fully asleep as he draped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.

“Goodnight Liv,” I heard him whisper as he placed a kiss to my forehead.
