Still Mine

What if someone said something to you, trying to discourage you from following your dreams. Would you give up on that dream? Or would you follow that dream and prove them wrong. What if the person who tired to discourage you came to an event of your dream that is now reality and tried to win you back?

My name is Olivia Wilson, and I know what I'd do.

Chapter 2

Liv’s POV

I was crouching down in a cramped space under the stage, I was about to have the platform under me rise, pushing me to the top of the stage.

I smiled to myself, still so ecstatic about how far I’d come. I was currently about to start my last show in London, ending the European part of my tour. After this I get a two-month break before I start my shows in Australia.

As much as I love my job, it’s nice to get a break every now and then to look forward to. One of the stage workers handed me a microphone and gave me a ’10 seconds’ sign as I grabbed the microphone. I nodded and positioned myself better in the small space.

I look over at the stage director counting down the seconds. I felt the shudder of excitement that washes over me every time I’m about to perform.

“Bring her up,” I heard the stage director say through his headset.

I felt the platform beneath me begin to rise up, bringing me to the top of the stage.

“Hello London!” I said, my voice echoing through the microphone as the music started.

Harry’s POV

“Olivia Wilson will be here in London tonight finishing the last show of her Euro-“ I quickly muted the TV.

I was sick and tired of people talking about her. I felt as if they were mocking me. I knew I was being paranoid, but I still heard the mockery.

All interviews, magazine articles, the rumors, the advertisements, everything. I tried to stay away from it all but I couldn’t.

She is like a drug to me, addictive and manipulative, and no matter how mad at her I was, I couldn’t stay away.

I had to watch those interviews and throw pillows at the TV every time someone mentioned out relationship and she changed the subject.

I had to read the magazine articles and throw them in the trash every time a rumored relationship of her and someone was mentioned.

I had to listen to the songs she wrote and find the ones she wrote about me and the hurtful thing I did.

I was mad at her, damn was I mad at her, I couldn’t stand her, but at the same time I couldn’t get enough of her, even though she isn’t in my life anymore.

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair as I stared at the muted TV. I heard my phone ring and I picked it up without looking at the contact name

“Hello?” I said.

“Hey mate,” I heard Niall’s voice.

“Hey,” I said back to him.

“Liv’s in town tonight,” he began.

“Yeah, I heard.” I said and glanced back up at the TV before finally turning it off.

“Yeah, so a few weeks ago she had sent me some tickets and backstage passes for her show here in London and-“

“I’m not going,” I said cutting him off.

“C’mon, you should go.” he said.

“Why? She doesn’t want me there and I don’t want to be there.” I replied.

“C’mon Harry, you don’t even have to talk to her. I would just like someone to come with me,” he begged.

“Just take one of the other guys, Liv would love to see them. I’m sure Liam would go.” I suggested, trying to get myself out of this.

“He’s busy,” he said and shrugged.

“Louis? Zayn?” I asked.

“Please just come to the concert with me,” he begged again.

“Did you even ask anyone else?”

“Well I thought I’d ask you first. I was thinking you might want to see Liv again and ya know apologize,” he explained.

“Apologize?” I snapped, “I have nothing to apologize for. She left me!” I fired at him.

“She didn’t want to leave you, she got offered a once in a lifetime opportunity. You both would probably still be together if you would have just supported her instead of losing your temper and saying ridiculous things to her.” he fired back.

I sighed, knowing he was right. I should have just supported her, we’re both just used to the whole long distance relationship thing from my previous tours.

“None of it matters anymore Niall. We’ve both moved on.” I told him.

“So why don’t you just come to the concert with me?” he asked.

“Fine,” I said giving in. “I’ll go,”

“Thanks Harry, it means a lot,” he said.

“Yeah, I know,” I said and hung up the phone.

A few hours had passed and I was getting changed from my sweats into something decent. I put on a white shirt and black jeans, and grabbed a black blazer. I picked up my shoes and walked into my living room and set my shoes down.

I then went into the kitchen and found I quick snack to eat before Niall came over to get me. He insisted that we ride together in his car to the concert. I had protested, but he wouldn’t budge, he was set on him driving us. I knew it was because if I took my own car I could leave whenever I wanted, and he wanted me to stay for the whole concert, and some meet and greet shit.

I finished the cup of yogurt I had got out from the fridge and threw it in the trash. I walked back into my living room and lay down on the couch and closed my eyes. I was interrupted from my relaxation by my phone ringing. I sat up and picked up from the coffee table.

I looked at the screen and read the contact name, ‘Niall’ I should’ve known. I pressed the answer button and brought the phone up to my ear.

“Hey Niall,” I said.

“Hey, I’ll be at your flat in about two minutes,” he told me.

“Okay,” I said and hung up.

I still couldn’t believe that I had agreed to go to this damn concert. I wonder what she’ll say when she see’s me. I think I’ll try to avoid her, hopefully I can get out of this backstage meet and greet that Niall want’s to go to. I let the thoughts drop from my mind as I slipped on my shoes and waited for Niall.

I was mindlessly scrolling through my phone when I heard a knock at my door. I locked my phone and got myself up from the couch. I opened the door to reveal a smiling Niall, a kind smile that can only appear when he gets to see Liv.

Him and Liv are really close, they’re like best friends, I’ve never seen two cousins so close. That’s why I was surprised a few years ago when he actually let me take her on a date. He’s protective of her, she’s like his little sister, but he hasn’t gotten to she her very much lately, with her being on a tour and everything.

“Ready to go mate?” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said.

I grabbed my keys from the hook so I could look my door. I walked out of my house, closing the door behind me. Once I finished locking it, Niall and I headed to his car. We got in the car and he drove to the concert arena.

It only took about fifteen minutes to get there from my house, so we arrived pretty quickly. I got out of the car and looked around to see many excited fans running around with their parents and best friends. Many of them holding signs with various colors and writings on each, glitter adorning the borders of the paper.

I rolled my eyes and followed Niall up to the entrance of the stadium. We were standing in a line to give our tickets to the stadium worker. I listened in on a few of the conversations happening from other people in the line. Most of them teenagers squealing over there ‘role model’ I guess is what some girls recognize her as.

Others had headphones in and were singing along to some of her songs. I rolled my eyes again; I just wanted to get out of here. Niall was going on about how proud he was of Liv and how inspiring she is to so many people. I just wanted to slam my face into a brick wall, no, I wish I could slam Liv’s career into a brick wall.

We finally reached the front of the line and Niall and I gave the guy our tickets. We walked around the stadium, trying to find the entrance with our seat section written on the top. I looked at the ticket stub from where the guy tore it, and I tried to match the number on the ticket with a number imprinted in black letters on top of each of the openings into stage arena.

“Hey Harry want to go get some merchandise?” Niall asked pointing to the table filled with shirts, posters, and other items with Liv’s picture and signature on them.

I knew he was joking, but I wasn’t going to play along.

“No,” I answered.

Niall and I walked around the stadium until we found our seat section, we got stopped by a few fans on the way, but we eventually made it. We showed the usher our ticket stubs, and he led us to our seats.

Once we sat down, Niall and I talked for a while, it was mostly me trying to get out of going to the backstage party or meet and greet party, whatever the shit was called.

It was official though; there was no way I was getting out of it. Niall never told Liv he was coming so he wants to see her and surprise her. I rolled my eyes at that, receiving a light punch in the arm from Niall. I changed the topic of conversation and we talked until the concert started.
