57. I'm Not Afraid

***Beth's POV***

You and I'll be safe and sound.

The words of my song ran through my mind as I sat up against the wall, playing with a stray string on my shorts. I stared at the blank walls of peeling yellow wall paper and the creaky, beat up wooden floor. Everything looked so sad, so dark. I felt like something could jump out any minute from the dark corners. I wasn't afraid though. I wasn't afraid anymore. I no longer flinch when I hear the booming footsteps or jump when I see his angry face storm through the door. I know there is nothing he can do to hurt me more than he already has. Not even killing me could scare me now. I heard the familiar pounding footsteps in the hallway and the door flew open. I looked up at him with my gray eyes, no fear in them at all.

"Get up you slut!" He yelled.

I looked up at him for a moment before looking back at the ground. He took a step closer.

"I said. GET. UP." He said through clenched teeth.

Sill I sat there, my eyes never meeting his. He grabbed me and pulled me up and slammed me hard against the wall.

"When I say get up, I fucking mean get up. GOT IT?!" He yelled.

I looked up at him and just stared at him, no fear in my eyes, no hatred, no emotion at all. I felt his hand come into contact with my cheek and he slammed me against the ground. He hunched over me and his knees.

"You think by acting like this that you'll get out of here?" He chuckled evilly.

Finally words left my dry lips.

"No. I just know that you can't take anything more from me." I said in my quiet raspy voice.

A smirk spread across his face.

"Oh I can't?" He asked.

"What more can you take? Mum is gone. Liam, all of my friends, Liam's family. Those are the only things I care about and you've already taken me from them." I choked out.

"Oh wouldn't it be a shame if I paid your little Liam a visit?" He laughed.

My eyes burned into his. "Don't go near him you ass hole."

He slapped me.

"What did you call me?" He spat.

"Ass. Hole. Got it?" I hissed as he held me down.

He slammed my head against the chipped wooden floor. I pushed his head away from me and pushed him off of me. I jumped up and he stood up after me.

"You always were a strong little girl." He smiled evilly.

I swiftly lunged for the chair that was sitting in the corner  and took it into my hands.

"You were never really smart though." He chuckled.

I lunged at him and slammed the chair over his head. He fell to the ground, as he was getting up I ran to the unlocked door and flung it open. I ran down the long hall way, I could hear his shouts behind me.

"Get back here you little bitch!" He screamed angrily.

My bare feet ran quickly down the stairs and I ran to the front door. I flung it open and ran out into the cold pouring rain. I began to run, not looking back. I needed to get away. Away from him. Away from everything. I could hear his pounding footsteps running after me but I just kept running. My bare feet splashed in puddles and the rain fell upon me. I didn't know where I was going. I ran through the empty field of gray grass and looked up at the ash colored sky, the raindrops hitting my face. I felt myself gasping for air and my limbs beginning to fail. I was weak. I fell to the ground and I could hear his thundering footsteps approaching me. My vision began to blur and I could barely make out the outline of the figure hunched over me. I couldn't move, I could barely breathe. I knew I was dying. I was dying slowly. The world around me went black and I lost all my consciousness.

My eyes weakly fluttered open and I slowly glanced at my surroundings. I was in my room but found myself tied to a chair. My wrists were bound behind me and there was tape over my mouth. Each of my feet was tied to a leg of the chair. My whole boy ached, I had no doubt that he had almost beaten the life out of me while I was still unconscious. The door flew open and he stepped into the prison I call a room. An evil grin plastered on his face, he lumbered over to me.

"You shouldn't have tried to run away." He said in a creepy voice.

I gave him a death glare. His hand came into contact with my cheek and I winced at the pain. He ripped the tape off of my mouth and quickly put a finger to my lips.

"Say a word and your little friends will get it." He spat.

My lips did not part. His hands moved to the back of the chair where he untied my hands.

"Try anything and I'll kill them." He hissed.

Finally when my hands and feet were free I sat in the chair and stared at the ground. His face was close to mine, anger in his eyes.

"What did I say I'd do if you ran away before?" He asked.

I didn't speak.

"ANSWER ME!" He screamed in my face.

"Y-you would k-kill me." I mumbled, to weak to fully answer.

He chuckled and stepped back and slowly began pacing in front of me.

"Good girl. But here's the thing, I'm not going to kill you." He grinned evilly, showing his rotten teeth.

He picked me up and threw me onto the small mattress on the floor. He straddled me and put his hands on either side of my head.

"I've decided you need to be taught a lesson." He smirked.

His hands moved under my shirt and I tried to push him off of me.

"P-please stop." I choked out, tears running down my pale cheeks.

His hand cane into contact with my cheek. "Shut up you little bitch!"

I knew I couldn't fight back as he began to remove my clothing. This was all part of his master plan. He knew I was weak. That's when I was most vulnerable. He had tried this a few times before but I was always strong a enough to  push him off of me and get away. This time though? This time there was no escaping it. I knew then and there, my father was going to rape me and I couldn't do a thing about it.
