28. Chapter 28

Bridget’s POV:

I absolutely hate it when Tina does that. After she gets the blood in her system, she gets crazy-like. And why did she have to use my boyfriend to have her blood bath. I didn’t keep him around for her. She could have used her boyfriend for that. Ugh! She makes me mad.

“Okay Tina. That’s enough.” I told her. “We have to find Justin.” She rolled her eyes and said, “Only if he comes.” She jabbed her pointer finger into Dakota.

“Fine.” I pulled Jacob with me. I grabbed my keys off of the lamp table and headed to my car. “Bridget. I was hoping I could find you here.” I turned around to see a muscular god towering over me.

“Hi dad.” I shyly waved at my father. “What are you doing here?”

“I’m checking on my beautiful daughter. How are you love? Why are you here? What’s going on?”

“Dad, I will tell you everything at a later ti-” He cut me off when he saw Jacob. “Who is this?” His voice pounded like thunder in my ears. I had to cover them to get them from hurting.

I looked at Jacob, who was on the ground in fettle position, I rolled my eyes at him. I looked back at my father. He had a lightening bolt ready to fire. “Dad, this is Jacob. He is my boyfriend.” I was hesitant to say the word boyfriend.

“You know you are not allowed to date humans.” He was such a hypocrite. He came down to Earth to meet my mother, who died giving birth to me. Then, he left her.

I am nothing like my father. I may have his God-like powers, but I look and act like my mother, according to my father. I have my mother’s body structure and personality, but my father’s eyes and passion toward task given to me.

“Do you hear me? You are not allowed to date humans,” he said after I didn’t answer him. His voice louder than it was before. Tina ran outside with Dakota. I looked at her and back to my dad. I nodded looking at the ground.

My dad wants me to marry another demi-god named Francis. Francis was a great guy. I have known him since I was a little girl. He had the biggest blue eyes with floppy brown hair. He was very muscular and very sweet. He was smart, too. I saw him more of a brother since I have known him so long.

“Tina,” my dad looks over at Tina and Dakota. “Come here.” Without hesitation, Tina scurried over to us. I giggled. She looked over at me and punched me in the arm. We both look at the ground ready for a scolding, but it never came. “You two have work to do. Figure out, why you are having theses dreams, Bridget. Tina help her, and leave those filthy boys here,” he said eyeing the boys. “It is to dangerous for them. Be safe.” With that my father disappeared. I hate when I get those surprise visits from him.

“We are taking the guys. We can’t just leave them here. What if whoever is doing this comes after them,” Tina looked at me and said.

“They won’t get hurt. They will be fine. Go figure this stuff out,” Zeus’s voice boomed over the sky. Humans couldn’t hear what he said. They thought it was just thunder and that it was fixing to storm. “Guys, maybe we should go inside. It is about to storm,” Dakota said proving my point. “Yeah, sure, I guess,” Tina answered him. “We have to make a plan,” she whispered in my ear. “A plan where the guys don’t come. If Zeus is right, we can’t take them.” I nodded.

When Jacob and Dakota go to sleep, Tina and I sneak out to the diner down the road. “What is the plan?” Tina asked me when we got a table.

“This isn’t a good place to plan. Don’t you think?”

“Well it isn’t but I’m hungry. And it isn’t like no one would understand us.” I looked around to see  an empty diner. The only people I saw was Tina, the cook, and the waitress. I nodded. The waitress came over, got our order and left.

“Do you have any ideas, yet?” I asked Tina. She shook her head and said, “Not yet. I have thought of where Justin would be. We need to go to the stables.” I nodded in agreement, but I have no idea why we had to go to the stables. We finished our meal and went out the car. When we got around the corner, we saw him. Justin standing by our car waiting for us. It was creepy, but perfect timing.

“Bridget! Tina!” he yelled at us. “Come here!”

“Maybe we don’t have to go to the stables after all.” Tina whispered in my ear as we walked over to Justin.

“Hey girls,” he said in a sweet voice. “Get in the car,” he said in a less sweet voice. What was he? How did he know where we were? How are we going to figure this out? Calm down Bridget! Calm down! Be cool! We climbed into the car with no argument. Tina sat in the back, as I got into the driver’s seat and Justin in the passenger. “Start the car.” Justin demanded. I started the car and backed out of the parking lot. “Turn left.” i turned left. He kept throwing commands at me and I did what I was told, to scared to disobey.

We pulled up to an old warehouse. “Park the car. And get out.” We got out of the car. Justin grabbed our elbows and lead us into the rundown building.

“Where are we?” Tina asked finally breaking the silence.

“Shut-up” Justin told her yanking us farther.

“Tina, this would be the time to get mad.” I told her.

“I said shut-up!” He pulled us into a room that was very dark. He pushed us down to our knees. “Ow.” I yelped out. A light came on but it was very small. I looked to where the light shined. I saw something I didn’t want to see. Jacob and Dakota were knocked out cold and tied up against the wall. “No!” I screamed. I looked over my shoulder at Justin. “Why? What did we ever do to you? Why would you do this?”

Justin looked distanced. His eyes were completely black and his skin was pale white. “I didn’t do it.” His voice sounded deep. It echoed off the empty dark room. “He did it.”

“What do you mean ‘he did it’? Who did it?” Tina demanded.

    “He did.”
