Pulling apart the curtain was the hardest part, since she had so much light to show the world.
But from the moment I saw her, I knew she would have an effect on my life. Maybe not at first, but underneath, I saw the beauty bright enough to light a thousand lanterns. the lanterns that would lift her up.
Catherine, the name worth of a million dreams.

12. chapter 9

Harry's POV:

I arrived at her door the next day, rang the doorbell, and waited for an answer.

It took awhile for me to realize they might not be home, but I rang again, just in case.

I new they weren't home, so eventually I turned around and walked next door to my house. On my way back, I had texted to see where she was.

Almost immediately after I sent the text, I saw the little bubble come up, and she texted me back.

I read her message, and it turned out she was at a science museum. That seems believable.

I walked Inside, went upstairs and stayed on my phone.

I did that until I got a text saying we couldn't meet today, which was ok with me. Kinda.

I needed up going downstairs for dinner early, and coming upstairs and watching television, until 9:00, when I went to bed.

Catherine's POV:

The room temperature hadn't changed. It was still freezing.

Also, it was raining, which didn't help my situation.

After a while, A man lead me to the glass panel, where I sat face-to-face with my father.

"I murdered someone." Said my father.

I looked up to him with tears, not because I was shocked, but because I already new.

"I thought so."

"Cath, it was a long time ago! I didn't think I would have regretted it, but-" he stumbled.

"Why?" I asked.

"Why didn't you think you would go to jail? You thought you'd get off with a warning for killing someone?"

"Cath, I was mad!" He said.

"Well you should have thought before you acted." I said.

There was a quiet moment of silence, in which I decided it was time to leave.

"Child services is coming to the house tomorrow." I whispered.

With that I stood up, turned around and walked away.

I walked to my car door, and drove home. Away from my problems.
