7. Dog Fight

“You okay, man?” I asked Dante when I entered the living room.

He was sitting on the couch with his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands.

Dante shook his head to my question the looked up to me. “I have a really weird feeling, its like a sick and scared feeling but it's not physical, I can just feel it in my head. I haven't a clue what's up with me, man. Maybe the stress of all this is getting to me.”

I sat down and watched him for a minute then said, “This is going to sound stupid but I seen on the T.V before that sometimes twins have a mind or body connection type of thing and can sometimes feel what the other one is feeling. Maybe.. maybe you're feeling a little of what Kyah is feeling.”

Dante contemplated on what I was saying for a moment. “I don't know why I didn't think of that,” he said softly then frowned. “Man, if what I’m feeling is her then she's really scared. I feel this way since we left the gym last night after we talked to her on the phone, I can't shake it.”

I rubbed my face, sighing. “We're going to get her back. The plans are solid.”

Dante scratched his chin. “Yeah, about the plans,” he smiled lightly. “Mind running them by me again?”

I gave him a look. “You can't of forgotten it already, I explained thoroughly last night!”

Dante shrugged. “I told you I've being feeling weird since we left the gym last night, I can't remember half the things you or the guys said to me.”

I sighed. “Okay, man. Listen up, I’m only explaining this one more time and you have to know it inside out. Got it.”

When Dante nodded I relaxed into the couch. “Harley and I are going to be following the rules and directions from the text we got last week and fight in The Arena. You and Jackson will be on stand by at a meeting point just in case something goes wrong like we lose and they don't give us Kyah or if we win and they still don't give us Kyah. Tony dying her hair just states he wants to mould her into something for himself and as much as I hate to say it, I just know he is going to snake his way out of this deal and try keep her but this time we will be ready for the mother fucker.”

I paused when Dante raised his hand. I snorted, he reminded me of a little kid in school trying to get the teachers attention so he could ask a question.

“What?” I asked, grinning over my thoughts.

He licked his lips. “How will Jackson and I know if something goes wrong if we're outside the MGM Grand?”

“I'm going to bring my a cheap phone with me and give you my one. I know we aren't suppose to bring them but I'll put it down my boxers or something so they won't feel it when the frisk me. If anything goes wrong I'll send you a text.”

Dante raised his hand again and this time I laughed.

“Just ask your question, don't put up your hand.”

Dante smiled, “Sorry.”

I nodded and waved him on to ask whatever it was that he wanted to ask.

“Okay, just say you send me a text that something is gone wrong, what the hell are we suppose to do? It's not like we can go inside, the place is huge. We'd lose them easily.”

I grinned. “True but you will be able to track Tony to where it is that he is staying.”

At Dante's puzzled expression I continued talking. “You will think this is a joke but I downloaded a few apps for my phone to trace the location of a call to an outgoing or incoming call. I didn't think it would work but Harley and I tested it out this morning. He drove somewhere without telling me where. I activated the app then rang him, kept him on the phone for more than forty five seconds then when the call was over, I clicked on the app and it gave me the exact location of where Harley's phone was.”

Dante raised his eyebrows. “Nice.”

I nodded. “Tony has let Kyah talk to us for longer than forty five seconds on both calls so far and even if he thought we would do something like this – which I doubt he will because he already played the tell-anyone-about-this-and-I-will-kill-her card - and manages to block it somehow the app will then triangulate the closest location it can get, based on signals from local transmission towers.”

Dante looked shocked and excited at the same time. “Holy crap, that's awesome!”

I nodded. “The only thing we can pray for is that each time we call her and we get the position of where the phone is, it has to stay in that same place. I mean, I hope after the fight his goes back to wherever the location of the phone reads, I'm guessing he has Kyah is a safe house or somewhere that he can work from easily without drawing attention to the place.”

Dante nodded. “It won't be in the city, that's for sure. Outside Vegas there is just desert and loads of factory and warehouses.”

I furrowed my eyebrows together. “Your right, he is into drugs and if he has a big operation like we think he does then with dealing them he will needs space for it all. Not to mention the girls he takes, he would need some place big.”

Dante scratched his head. “A factory or a warehouse, that's our best bet. All we can do is pray after the next phone call that a location is a factory or warehouse that we can definitely go there even if the app only works once. He will own that plot, he won't be able to pack up and run off quickly so that will give us time if things get fucked up.”

I nodded in agreement with Dante. “He has to have some cops on a pay roll though, all them factories and warehouses have to be inspected annually so somebody is turning a blind eye to what's going on there in exchange for money.”

Dante groaned out loud. “The cops, man? Shit, if that's true they would turn a blind eye to people protecting that building. Them fuckers will have guns I just know it, what the hell can with fight guns with, if we have to actually go to that factory to get her back? No offence, but I doubt your brawling skills will do jack shit against a pistol.”

I smirked at Dante which had him raising his eyebrow. “You knew they would have guns?”

I nodded. “All drug lord/ human traffickers/ crazy motherfuckers have guns. Everyone has a gun now a days, bro.”

“I don't have a gun,” Dante grumbled.

I chuckled. “I have that sorted out.”

Dante eyebrows shot up so high the almost disappeared into his hairline. “How the hell have you sorted that out? Where would you get guns?” He hissed.

“From me,” Harley said as he strolled into the living room from the hallway.

I heard the apartment door close shut.

Dante snapped his head to Harley. “And where the fuck would you get them?”

“From me.”

Dante's eyes almost popped out of his head. “Dad?”

I glanced to where his dad came in a gave him a nod in greeting. “Andrew.”

“Justin,” he nodded back to me then turned to Dante who was looking so bemused it actually brought a grin to my face.

“Why the hell would you have guns? Where the hell would you get guns?” Dante spluttered.

His face was a mask of confusion.

Andrew smiled, “Just some buddies of mine from my college day's are helping me out.”

Dante stared at him blankly, blinking.

He shook his head then. “If you're trying to tell me you're in a gang or something, you aren't do a good job.”

Andrew snorted then changed his expression to a serious one. “Son, I’m not in a gang. I'm just calling in a favour to get my daughter back.”

Dante lowered his head a little. “So you know then, huh?”

“Yeah, your brothers told me last night,” Andrew explained.

Dante's head shot up as he looked to Harley. “Why didn't you or Jackson tell me you where going to tell him? I didn't say anything because you told me not to speak to anyone about what happened to Kyah!”

Harley rubbed his neck. “I know little man but-” “Don't fucking call me that! Don't be treating me like I'm the baby brother who is last to know everything, not now or ever!”

Harley winced as if Dante's words actually struck him. “Bro, I didn't purposively leave you out of the loop, we just told dad and you weren’t there.”

Dante was so fuelled up with annoyance and confusion that he charged at Harley. Knocking them both to the floor. I sat back with wide eyes and just watched Dante pound into Harley. I usually would stop fights like this but something told me Dante needed to vent like this and plus Harley was telling him to “Let it out, bro,” so I sat back and watch the fight on the floor.

I made a face a couple of times when Dante landed a nice punch or did a sweet move. Just watching him fight putting a stamp on who he is, there is no denying it, he is an Edwards brother down to the core.

“Dante, I’m on your team! I'm your brother,” Harley growled and punch Dante in the face knocking him backwards.

Just as Harley hit Dante Rayne entered the apartment with Jackson, Anna, Baila and Jazzy behind her.

She screamed and dropped her bag and phone to the floor. “You culo,” she screeched at Harley and ran at him.

Oh, crap.

I jumped up to grab her but she is extremely fucking fast and before I got to her she planted a kick into Harley's stomach making him roar and stumble back onto his butt. Rayne wasn't finished though she jumped on Harley, pulled his hair and slapped him.

“Stop it, Rayne. Stop hitting him!” Anna yelled and tried to run to them but Jackson caught her lifting her up.

Dante was back on his feet as well, he looked calm but quickly moved to Harley and Rayne.

Harley had Rayne's hand in his so she couldn't slap him any more. He got right his her face. “Rayne! Stop it, it's me. Stop.”

Rayne struggled against his hold. “I know it's you, you culo. You punched Dante, I saw you with my own eyes!”

She was pissed and with an furious scream she bared her teeth and actually snapped at Harley who was moving his head like a boxer to avoid her teeth.

“Don't bite me. Damn it, put your choppers away. Dante!” Harley yelled dramatically. “A little help here, bro?”

I snorted which earned me a slap in the back of my head off Baila then another one off Jazzy. I frowned and rubbed my head, I didn't even do anything and I'm getting slapped.

“Mami, come here.” Dante purred to Rayne, placing his hands on her hips.

She let him lift her up away from Harley, who honestly looked relieved that she wasn't trying to bite him any more.

“What is wrong with you!” Harley snarled to her as he stood up.

Rayne growled at him. “You punched mi novio who need I remind you is your hermano!” She bellowed then fired a line of Spanish curse words at him.

Harley shook his head. “I don’t understand the Spanish words, speak English woman”

I rolled my eyes and said, “She said you punched her boyfriend who is also your brother.”

Everyone turned their line of sight to me, I smiled and shrugged. “What? I listen when you and Kyah talk to each other.”

Rayne smiled and me then looked back to Harley with a cold expression. “Don't hit him again, if you do, I'll kill you. Entender?”

Harley stared at her either from being threatened to be murdered or because he didn't understand was entender meant.

“It means understand,” I mumbled to Harley.

“Ohhh,” he said then looked to Rayne. “I can't believe you just threatened to kill me”.

“Well, believe it!” She snapped.

Harley gave her a look. “Dante attacked me, not the other way around!”

Rayne was about to snap back with a retort but she stayed quiet and glanced over her shoulder to Dante. “Really?” She asked.

Dante nodded.

Rayne turned and smacked him right across the head. “You culo, I thought he was attacking you. You're his hermano, why would you hit him?” She demanded.

I wanted to laugh at how quickly she turned on Dante and defended Harley but I didn't because I didn't want to get slapped again.

“Damn mami, stop with the hitting.” Dante winced.

“I second that,” Harley grumbled.

“Ask questions first in future Rayne in stead of attacking people, would you like me to attack Dante like you did Harley?” Anna snapped to Rayne who frowned slightly and shook her head to Anna's question.

Anna then wiggled away from Jackson and moved to Harley side. She frowned and rubbed his face then kissed him where he had red marks from being hit.

I could see the smile tugging at Harley's mouth, this bastard was loving the attention he was getting from his girl. No doubt he would turn it into a pity fuck later.

“Answer mi question Dante!” Rayne asked Dante with a sigh.

Dante sighed also. “Jackson and Harley told my dad about Kyah being kidnapped and left me out of the conversation.”

I glanced to Andrew who was sat comfortably on the couch watching the scene before him. I raised my eyebrow at his calmness and he grinned.

“They fought all the time growing up, you get use to all the noise and yelling after a while,” he explained.

I nodded because I guess you would get used to your son's fighting over every little thing. Rayne and Kyah too, they grew up together and have claimed to bet up the guys on more than one occasion.

When Andrew chuckled at me the girls each snapped their heads to him when they heard him. I mentally snorted because they didn't see him when they entered, Rayne went red in the face.

“Sorry, Mr Edwards,” she apologised for what I'm sure was for attacking Harley.

Andrew waved her off. “Don't mind me," he grinned.

Jazzy – who was a foot away from me - openly stared at Andrew and it freaked me out so I reached over and shoved her, making her stumble and snap out of her weird trance.

“You're so childish!” She hissed at me.

I pulled a face at her and shook her head at me. “Seriously, out of two hundred thousand sperm, you where the fastest? Unbelievable!”

I stared at her. “I feel like you're calling me stupid.”

“I am calling you stupid.”

“I have all A's in my classes though.”

“You're still dumb, Justin.”

“Shut up you two,” Rayne hissed to Jazmyn and myself.

Jazzy rolled her eyes while I just grinned, I grin my way out of a lot situations.

Rayne snorted at me and I inwardly fist pumped.

Bitches love my grins.

“Why did they not include you in the conversation?” Rayne asked Dante suddenly serious again.

“That's what I want to know.” Dante snarled to Harley and Jackson.

Jackson rubbed his neck. “Listen bro, Kyah being gone is affecting us all but you.. well, you have a whole other bond with her that none of us will ever have. You're her twin man,” he paused and sighed. “We just want you to be thinking clearly, you've hit rock bottom without her and we just want you mind focused on the back up plan – which I'm sure Justin explained to you – in case we need to use it.”

Dante let out a roar and tried to attack Jackson. Andrew however was off the chair like a light, standing between his sons. “Stop this, I’ve had enough!” He shouted. “Kill each other after Kyah is home but for now focus on getting her home!”

Dante stepped back from his father but he met his gaze and his brothers head on. “I'm not going to mess up my part in this. Everything you said is true but its because I miss and need her so much that I won't fail if we need to go to the back up plan. You all need to understand that I'm not a child, I’ll kill to get her back. Believe that!”

Harley stepped forward and pulled Dante into a hug. “I'm sorry man, we'll never leave you out of the loop again. We trust you 100%!”

I heard a in take of breath and glanced to Baila who was chewing on her lip.

I leaned down to her. “You okay?” I whispered.

She nodded still looking at the guys. “I don't know why, but that is making me real emotional.”

I awed her making he chuckle.

“Shut up,” she mumbled.

I nodded towards Jackson who was talking to Dante as well. “You and him are back together, right?” I asked.

Baila nodded. “I can't remember the night Kyah got taken, I was drunk and apparently hysterical. What I said to him didn’t mean anything, I didn’t break up with him. I think I was just so upset about Kyah that I took it out on Jackson.” She explained.

I sighed in relief. “Well, thank God for that.”

She side hugged me. “This is probably a stupid question but how are you holding up?” She asked in a soft voice.

I leaned against her and sighed. “I'm hanging in there but honestly Bails, I miss her so damn much it hurts. I’m forcing myself to sleep and eat, I just feel like apart of me is gone with her.”

Baila wrapped her arms tightly around my waist. “You remember that when you're in The Arena, use your love for Kyah and hate for Tony to help you and Harley win.”

I nodded and kissed her forehead.

Jackson turned our way and gave me a playful warning look to back away from his girl. I snorted and kissed Baila's cheek, keeping eye contact with Jackson who moved towards us at the moment my lips touched her cheek.

“I'm playing,” I said jumping backwards while he swooped Baila into his arm making her laugh.

“Are you ready to talk now?” Andrew's voice cut across Baila's laughter as he spoke to the boys and myself.

We nodded and looked to the girls.

“Jazzy, go to your room for a little bit.”

Jazzy crossed her arms over her chest and raised her eyebrow in defiance.

I pinched the bridge of my nose. “We can do this the easy way or the hard way, you choose.” I said.

She stood staring at me blankly, blinking.

I grinned. “Hard way it is then.”

Jazzy opened her mouth to speak as I stepped forward but she squealed instead as I grabbed her and flipped her over my shoulder. She smacked at my ass and back swearing to murder me in my sleep with my own pillow as I jogged to her room. I dropped her on her bed and bailed out of the room grabbing the key from behind her door as I ran. I slammed the door shut and locked her in just in time for her to bang on the door.

“You're dead, Justin! Do you hear me? Dead!” She bellowed.

I laughed and I pocketed the key to her room and went back into the living room. “Was that necessary?” Andrew asked me with a chuckle.

“If you wanted a private conversation then yes, she can hide aware when she wants to be nosy.” I said and the guys chuckled.

Dante glanced to Rayne. “Are you going to go quietly or kicking and screaming?” He grinned.

She scoffed. “I live here you know,” dhe stated then glanced to me then back to Dante. “I'll go to my room though but only because I want to not because you're telling me to.”

She strutted out of the room like she owned the place and it made me want to laugh especially when Anna and Baila quickly followed her stating they weren’t being carried anywhere.

I shook my head as Dante creped towards Rayne room. He gestured for us to stay quiet, thirty seconds past when he suddenly yelled and banged on Rayne doors. We heard the girls screams and noise's of them falling.

I laughed as did the guys.

“You're all too nosy around here!” Dante stated as he went into Rayne room and turned on music then left the room again. He must have swiped the key to her room because he discretely locked it then pocketed the key.

“Women.” He stated shaking his head.

Andrew threw back his head and laughed. “Wait till you all get married then come and complain to me about women!”

We widened our eyes and the mention of marriage making Andrew laugh again as he sat down on the couch. We filed around the room sitting down also.

“Okay,” he rubbed his hands together. “Harley and Jackson filled me in on everything, I’m fucking pissed none of you felt the need to know my daughter was kidnapped!”

I widened my eyes, I guess he was just be nice while the girls where in the room because he was like a different man now. A very, very pissed of and hurt looking man.

Suddenly I wish I didn’t lock Jazzy in her room.

Harley began. “Dad-” “Shut up!” Andrew snapped.

Harley did as he was told but he didn't look happy about it.

“I've vowed I would never let something like this happen to Kyah after when she went through all those years ago but how can I fucking do that when her brother's don’t confined in me? She is my daughter for Christ sakes, how could you not tell me about this?”

I knew he was equally as pissed at me as he was the guys so I did a smart thing for one and kept my mouth shut.

“Dad,” Harley started again. “We thought we could handle this by ourselves but until after the tournament at Jeds we didn’t know how serious this would actually be. We only caught onto that Tony deal in drugs and women through things he and Kyah said over the phone. We.. we didn't want to worry you.” He finished looking to his hands.

Andrew sighed. “What's done is done, all I care about now is getting Kyah back and that's all you four should care about. Understood?” He asked.

“Yes sir.” We all replied in unison.

He nodded once. “Good. I've ask my old college buddies if they've heard of this Tony and the word is he is a big boss in the drug and women trafficking ring. This man doesn't take crap. You cross him you die and I don't want any of you guys or Kyah to end up that way so I’m going to help you.”

I raised my eyebrow. “We were told not to include you in this, sir.” I said after I cleared my throat.

Andrew glanced at me. “Do I look like I give a fuck?”

I shook my head.

Damn, I guess I know where the guys got their tempers from.

“Good, because I don't,” Andrew said then leaned back into the couch. “Besides my involvement will be background work, I’m getting you the weapons and transportation you need to get in and out of where this guys safe house or work place is. You four are the men on the front line, mainly you two,” he pointed to Harley and I. “Because Jackson and Dante are in the background as fair and Tony is considered.

He sighed. “I'm sure he will suspect you two to pull a fast one but once he sees you are doing as you're requested inside The Arena it might knock him off his game play a little and tip the odds in our favour.”

Me and the guys nodded then Andrew snorted as he looked at Dante. “What, son?”

Dante shrugged. “I feel like I’m in the middle of a Mafia movie.”

I snorted because I felt the same way, things got fucked up fast.

“Nothing fake about this situation, son,” Andrew said as he stood up. “I'll ring you guys off a secure line if I need to contact you, don't come around me any more than you usually would just in case Tony has you guys tailed.”

We nodded, agreeing to what he was saying.

“Good.” With that said he left the apartment leaving us sitting in the sitting room staring to the couch he just vacated.

“Bro, your dad has contacts that he calls 'buddies from his college days'. He is not a normal dean,” I murmured.

Harley laughed. “Well, we're not normal students.”

“Ain't that the truth,” Dante chuckled.

We all went quiet for a few moments. “Two and a half weeks till The Arena.” Harley stated.

I stood up. “Let's hit up the gym.”

The guys nodded and stood up as we grabbed our bags and began to leave the apartment.

Dante and I jogged down the stairs side by side. “You feeling okay now?” I asked referring to what we talked about earlier.

Dante nodded. “Yeah, I just feel like I’m forgetting something though.” He murmured.

We got down to the doors of the apartment when I face palm myself, I remembered what Dante forgot.

“The girls,” I cried. “We locked them in the bedrooms.”

The guys each widened there eyes then burst out laughing. “Shit, we better let them out, they will kill us.” Dante laughed then stopped suddenly. “No seriously, Rayne will kill me.”

He took off running up the stairs. Harley and Jackson shared a snort then ran up as well, I shook my head then realised Jazzy would probably attack me if she knew I left the apartment without letting her out.

Before I knew it I was running up the stairs after the guys.

Looks like we would be working out sooner than we though, dodging the girls punches and kicks will be enough of a workout for any man.
